Karen and her staff are IMMENSELY talented and for a bday party whether you are 3, 10, 18, or 60, Kids Need More Art is a perfect all around choice. For Opa's 60th my goal was that kids and adults alike would 1. Have a truly great time. 2. Remember Opa's 60th fondly. and 3. Karen is warm and so flexible - allowed us to bring in food, sangria, cake....we painted fish and made a super cool piece of art for everyone, we danced, we ate and drank, we played ukulele, 100's photo's were taken, and the WHOLE family had fun together - a rare occurrence to get them all in the same room at the same time!!! It's easy, enjoyable, and not very expensive to do with friends. I highly suggest it for a date night, a birthday gift, or to spend time with someone you care about.

My class credit became useless when the teacher left, and I thought it was a no-brainer to transfer that credit to another class, especially since I mentioned it to the owner while signing up over the phone. Yet, that didn't happen. Then, the workshop I took a day off for was canceled because I was the only participant. I understand things happen, but a sincere apology or an attempt to make it right would have meant a lot. It's not just about the credit or the class; it's about feeling valued. I hope that they use this as a chance to really connect with and take care of their community.

I came upon this place trying to find an artist's work I saw at ArtiGras (stained glass night lights) and was delighted to see all kinds of art pieces from a variety of artists (it's actually a coop where artists pay for space to show their pieces). Everything from hand-crafted to oil paintings to knitted colorful scarves. Also, the place is laid back and the prices are reasonable - not your pretentious gallery at all. If you are in the area or have visitors (like your mother) in town, check it out....great place to get custom tropical gifts!
