Oh my gosh, never thought I'd find a place like this near Newmarket! My friend recommended this place to go to for our girls night, and we did. We got a bunch of food each, but honestly, we could have probably shared because the portions were huge. Service was great, aside from a slight language barrier if you don't have someone with you for some things.

The lunch specials here are cheap & they seem to be offered on weekends too. No wonder this place is so crowded! The staff proactively asked if sugar in the tea was desired which was a nice touch. Pork neck with rice & egg was pretty good. There wasn't a lot of pork but neck is a pricey cut so for the price it was still good. The pork was cooked in a sweet sauce. The egg was surprisingly crispy given it was for takeout. The daily Chinese soup was good with pear, white fungus & some dark coloured meat. Fried rice noodles with beef & tomato soup (ie borscht) were good as per 2 years ago.

We were in the area on a Sunday around 1pm, so came here because there was a long line up at O Street lol We waited couple minutes because it was pretty packed as well. Service was great, lots of waitresses and they were attentive. Food was a bit slow though. We waited about 15 minutes for the baked dish (I guess because it was baked). The tomato/pasta sauce was quite sweet and the hor fun wasn't bad. Definitely a decent choice if you're in the area.

The lunch menu options are great, served with soup and a drink. I tried the Hainanese chicken rice and it was flavourful. Great spot to go for HK cafe style food. They get quite busy on the weekends, our group of 5 waited about 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. Also wanted to note that they charge for takeout containers.

Haven't dined in in a while. Came here on a Thursday night and it was around 7pm, not too busy got seated right away. Noticed their menu has updated (but they didn't/haven't printed new takeout menu). Some items are the same, and some are new such as the stone pot rice and chicken hotpot. Also it looks like they got rid of the afternoon tea(?) We got a 12 pcs chicken wings basket for $19.99 and a ginger scallion chicken rice noodle for $11.99. No drinks with these items unlike some other meals on the menu. We first got the ginger scallion chicken noodles and there's a generous portion of the chicken thigh and ginger scallion. But could use more noodles. I appreciate that the soup isn't tasteless but it's a bit too oily. Chicken wings took a while longer to make but it came out piping hot. It's juicy and not overcooked. It's well marinated, tastes like those salt bake chicken powder. Surprised it comes with fries, similar to Costco ones. Overall, always enjoy eating here.

This is a go to spot for Asian food in Aurora. Located on the strip, I'd recommend getting the hainanese chicken rice and the tomato porkchop rice. They have lunch specials that include a free drink. Good amount of free parking in the plaza. It gets busy here, so come early. Definitely give them a try!

Not many cha chan tang in Newmarket so I'm surprised it took me so long to come to this spot! It definitely surpassed my expectations and now I know I do not need to go to Markham just for a quick HK cafe meal! I found the service to be above and beyond, especially for a Chinese resto! I don't need all the extra check ins and other shenanigans. As long as you're relatively civil and bring me the right food, I'm good with it. I found them to be very kind and even moved us to a table away from the door in case we got cold once they cleaned up one of their tables near the inside. The meals were very reasonably priced and the portions were huge! I got the curry chicken rice and it served as two meals for me. The flavours were sooo good and I got a delicious soup and a lemon tea to go with it - all for 12.99 lunch special. They have all the regular HK cafe meals so there's something for everyone. Left with a full stomach and I am definitely coming back!

It's great to see more Asian restaurants opening on Newmarket. Pine House is a must visit if you're ever craving for some classic HK food, or even Asian food in general! It was very spacious inside with ample seats, however on the weekends, you may find that you'd have to wait a bit for a table (usually not too long). The servers are surprisingly pleasant overall, and were polite with their service. We got their lunch special combos which came with a drink (available before 3pm). The dishes taste fantastic, I loved the ginger scallion oil chicken with rice and would recommend anyone to get this! Only complaint I had was really the drinks, they were just average (we both ordered Coffee with Tea). Usually I don't have much expections for these, but they tasted pretty flavorless which was a little disappointing. IG: Ayenomz

Their all day specials are my favourite! I got the egg sandwich with satay beef vermicelli $8.99 They also come with a drink. Cold drinks are $1 extra. They have lunch specials. I got the beef ho fun and yeung chow fried rice. $12.99 each includes a drink and daily soup. If you pay cash it's 10% off :) best HK cafe in the area.

After many take out orders we wanted to do a sit down lunch. They separated the guests with a reserved sign between tables which made eating inside the restaurant less stressful. The food and service was quite good as usual...even in these tough times.

    The Egg ball sandwich! :)

Please seems to have gone a revamp as tables and chairs have been updated to a different look, being all brown and beige, which I think it is kidn of ugly. I haven't been there in ages and it seems they now give out free dessert after you mind but it is only one dessert per table. It is pretty much a milk pudding cut into 8 to 9 tiny pieces.. not sweet at all. I feel they should be giving though not just to each table but to each patron. Staff is eager to assist you and will check on you multiple times to make sure you are well taken care, even refilling tea a few times and making sure you got your desserts.. I never seen a hk cafe where the staff is so eager to please. My usualy is the baked pork choice rice butI ended up ordering the Beef Brisket Portuguese Rice Dish to try something and the sauce was very fragnant. Good amount of beef brisket and veggies in the dish. THeir hot plates are also very popular option. $1.25 extra for cold drinks. Parking lot is small as it shares with timmies and st-louis. Rice was lacking chicken flavour needed the soy sauce and ginger scallion sauce to add flavour. Chicken texture was good and sauce added flavour. To be honest, it is not perfect in many dimensions: It's not spacious and feels too greedy to have too many tables. It is not a good place if you really want to have an elegant environment to have your meals. The servers are a bit aggressive. But despite of all those disadvantages, I still give it 5 stars because it has the PERFECT food! I almost dropped some tears when I tasted my first bite of the dish I ordered, stored fried beef with tomatoes and eggs. I think what it does best is that it adapt its dishes to use the local produce and meat, and still keep the legit HongKong food flavors. My wife ordered the stir fried instant noodles and it was full of pepper, mushrooms and soy sauce flavor. Beef was nicely sliced thin and noodles tasted fine. One thing I'd say is their hot sauce by the tableside is quite tasty! Milk tea tasted standard as well. Service was fine too. Not a big space, but can probably seat 25-30 people.

One thing I appreciate is that they don't over-season their food, especially with salt. Most of their meals come with drinks and a choice of soup and they have CREAM SOUP! This restaurant serves up some delicous HK diner favourites and most dishes come with soup and hot drink. My first visit I tried the viral sizzling sirloin steak with fries and black pepper gravy. It was $29.99 when I tried it. I believe the prices have gone up slightly. I also got a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Perfect meal for me. My wife got the baked curry beef brisket. The dish was good but mostly rice and not enough beef brisket. Our second we tried the fried chicken leg with fried egg and choice of gravy. The chicken had a nice chinese breading and I believe some salted egg yolk as well. The chicken was crispy and juicy inside. We definitely marked this dish as a must have when we come back. Our 3rd visit we tried the baked cream chicken with rice. This dish was underwhelming and didn't have enough chicken. The cream sauce was tasty but we felt it was more of a frozen dinner variety. I ordered the fried grouper fish with garlic gravy. The fish was crispy and really nice breading. The dish needed some veggies for garnish but I understand they are trying to keep the prices affordable. If you are looking for some HK cafe that serves up some viral dishes and great value, then I recommend this place.
