For 10 minutes all I heard from the back room was my dog crying and yelping. Tech came out and said you're good to go. Still, no Vet in sight and never came to talk with me, mind you, I've never met HER (the veterinarian) as my husband was with our dog for his 1st visit. *So needless to say, WE WILL NEVER RETUNR THERE!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!! They will nickel and dime you for services...MONEY COMES BEFORE YOUR PETS and when questions are asked, THEY WILL ARGUE WITH YOU. You cannot get a word in edge wise as all they do is talk over you. They DO NOT listen to your concerns, and they do not have your pet's best interest at heart!! I wish I had read the reviews before ever considering taking my dog there. The most horrible vet experience we have ever had! I'm sure their response will be very unprofessional and blasting, which just comes to show their true colors!! **I highly recommend Animal Medical Center of Plainfield. Amazing staff, even more amazing Dr.s and they truly care about you and your pets!!

I've been bringing my pets here for about three years now…read more The staff are nice, but the appointments themselves feel very rushed. The veterinarian often comes in without introducing himself, so half the time I'm not even sure if I'm speaking to the doctor or a vet tech. It consistently feels like they're trying to get my pet and me out as quickly as possible. While efficiency can be a good thing, one of my pets has a condition that requires more time and attention. Because of this condition, there have been several visits where additional blood tests or procedures were needed. I like to understand WHY something is necessary before agreeing to it--both to avoid putting my pets under unnecessary stress and because vet visits are expensive. However, whenever I ask, "Why does this need to be done?" the person I assume is the veterinarian (again, he never introduces himself) usually offers an answer along the lines of "it just needs to be done," followed by a vague, scientific explanation that doesn't actually help me understand. When the results come back and I ask for clarification--such as why a level is high, whether it's a concern, or what I should be monitoring--the response is usually something like, "Oh, don't worry about it. It's not a concern right now." I appreciate the reassurance, but the lack of specific information is frustrating. I don't think it should be on me to pull basic explanations out of the doctor, especially when I'M the one paying for the tests and trying to make informed decisions about my pet's health. It's concerning that the rationale for doing a test isn't explained upfront, and that I have to press for meaningful interpretation of the results afterward. For context, my dog is now six years old, and I've been managing this health condition for all six of those years. I also worked in the veterinary field for a short time, so I have a general understanding of procedures and protocols. I understand that every veterinary practice has their own way of doing things, but this clinic simply doesn't provide the level of care, communication, or attention that my pets need.

It's hard to find neighbors or friends to come out this far to watch our babies ( Laila-chocolate lab, Gracie-Manchester Terrier, Izzy-Kitty, and 10 chickens). My wife found Doggie Doody online and that's where the WOW comes in. Jenny and her husband came out for a visit and my wife loved them from the beginning. We had them watch our babies a few days while we went to Lake Geneva for the weekend. They came four times a day. They played, feed, and checked on the chicks. They provided text messages with a detailed list of things they did and included photos. We used them again two weeks ago for 24 hour service (are babies are our babies, no kids) so I (the man of the house) was nervous for a 9 day vacation. Jenny used one of her staff to come at night and stay with them, and she is just as wonderful. Same text messages and photos. If your looking for a company or reliable humans to care for your pets as they where a part of their family, look no further. Call Jenny at Doggie Doody and you won't be let down. They are now are go to for emergencies or getaways. Thank you very much, Rick and a Kelly

BEWARE OF PRICE GAUGING - Minooka Aminal Hospital…read more I was told I needed a prescription for my kitten which I gladly went to pick up. The bill was $100. A few minutes after leaving I did a little research and found that these are available elsewhere and that a prescription is not required. I can get the same exact items elsewhere for HALF the price. I totally understand that markups are to be expected but at 100%?!?! I called immediately and was told that I could not come back for a refund and that I would have to wait for the office manager to call me. She never called me back and I was finally able to get in contact with her after 3 attempts. In the end she told me that company policy is that they would NOT take them back nor provide any sort of refund. In my opinion the word "prescription" means that you can't get it over the counter and only through a veterinarian. I should have been given the option so that I could do some research beforehand to determine where I would make my purchase. I fully support local businesses and I did try and do the right thing and reach out to the business for resolution but there was no compassion nor willingness to compromise. I am only providing this information so that others can ask the appropriate questions and make the right decision for them.
