Our Campsite view onto Blue Lakes.
Jolina H.

We had a fantastic time here! We would not hesitate to come back! Pine Acres is more rustic, but it had everything we needed. Everything was clean and in working order. We loved that it is right by Blue Lakes, which is fantastic to swim, paddleboard, or kayak.

Pine Acres is a great place to camp or rent one of the cabins! The management is awesome, very clean grounds, nice sites for our 30' trailer, the little store has all the basics and the lake is awesome! We go numerous times a year, and have for several years and would rate it at 5 plus everytime!

We decided to camp here for the first time. The rave about this lake made me changeout of my comfort zone of my favorite campsite to try this place out. I give it 2 stars. We reserved 2 RV spots (which I'm so happy the staff told us they had no shade to bring pop ups) which we did. What they didn't say was that they were basically like parking spots. Once you put a tent up, there no room for anything else now even parking your car. We were told to park in certain spots (which we had to move 4 times to accommodate new guest arriving. They area is beautiful but way stuff and over crowed. We were like sardines in there. I never camp a spot before so small! The trailer next to us has lights on all night and watching movies till 5 am! He lived there. super nice but not what I had in mind for camping. The day use area was also very crowed. I think this place would be awesome If they focused on making it a peace full spot then the more people in the more money. The guys with the cones at the entrance was a plus but also like a prison guard took it way to serious. I paid almost $250 for 4 nights for this? No thanks we had a family of 5 and two tents . They charge per person and tent and it's crazy for the spot you get!! We left a day early and I refund( even as we left the lake was shut down for blue algee) I'll take berryessa or Sonoma any day! There is about 5 good campsite at this location but even then I think it would be over crowed with the day use. We couldn't sit at our campsite at all with No shades, to close to others and if you wanted to swim close to the beach area your prob swimming in pee. With the amount of people there. We rented a boat from Across the way to at least enjoy a little day of peace and quite which was nice and made our trip a little better. Not sure I'll go back

Rooms were clean with fresh bedding & towels, plenty of parking, beds were comfortable & the place was quiet. There is a good restaurant across the highway & on Main Street in Upper Lake. Pizza parlor about a block away. The place has gone downhill & I would not stay there again & would not recommend to anyone who cares about a stinky room. I went to the store & bought a can of Febreze, sprayed half of it in my room & still it smelled bad. Turned on the fan & left it on all night to bring in fresh air from outside. It is the cheapest place in the area but there are better places nearby. You get what you pay for.

The room was clean with fresh sheets and towels, bed was comfy enough. My partner and I noticed the window blinds were broken on one side which prevented full privacy or letting in the natural daylight. The room provided a decent quality microwave and fridge w/ freezer. However, the fridge w/ freezer wasn't working. If I needed to keep any liquids cold, I had to put it on ice with the provided ice bucket. The room would get pretty hot, so my partner and I would blast the AC but felt like the AC wasn't working all that well. My partner ended up getting sick during this trip. The owner and staff were accommodating upon any housekeeping needs though. Checking in and out was pretty quick. This hotel needs quite a few improvements.

A nice on-site store selling swag, fishing poles, fishing gear, snacks, ice cream, sno-cones, some essentials and a snack/coffee bar. The owners are welcoming and always available for any questions. We stayed in a Yurt. It was clean, spacious and comfortable for our family of 5. The Yurt had a nice kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Family is what the Narrows is all about. Fridays have a nice community fire by the lakeside for s'mores and socializing with other guest. Every Saturday night is movie night by the lakes edge. The Narrows truly wants that family chill vibe at the resort and does a great job of creating it. This is not the place to come for drunken loud partying. I know other guests and I really appreciate the wholesomeness of the entire resort and the experience it provides our families. I watched my young daughter catch her 1st fish ever, from the dock. She talked about her newfound love for fishing and swimming with the other kids, for the entire drive home. My older kids paddle boarded across the lake. The kids loved the pontoon boat ride around the entire lake, with rope plenty of swings dotting the lake. The afternoon ice cream from the on-site store for each of the kids in the afternoon were a daily highlight. The Narrows is doing everything right to make it all about families and we will definitely be coming back annually.

The town of Williams may be small, but it has several solid restaurant options along with fast food and pizza spots--and even DoorDash delivers right to the hotel, which is a nice bonus after a long day of driving. The hotel itself has been fully renovated, and it really shows. You can tell the ownership genuinely cares about both the property and their guests. Everything feels clean, updated, and well maintained. Amenities are excellent for a stopover or short stay. There's a swimming pool, a grill for cooking, and even a small gym. Parking is plentiful, and most of the time you can park right outside your room, which is great if you're traveling with a car full of belongings or just want peace of mind. In the morning, they offer a basic continental breakfast with hard-boiled eggs, cereal, milk, orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, danishes, and yogurt. There's no indoor dining area, but you can easily take it back to your room or enjoy it by the pool. The rooms are well stocked with soap, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, and a shower cap, and I really appreciated the extra space heater in addition to the standard AC/heater wall unit--such a thoughtful touch. The internet is free and good signal. Pro tip: Book directly through the hotel's website. It's cheaper than Booking.com or Hotels.com (I saved $8), and the price difference more than makes up for any points you might earn elsewhere. It's also cheaper than walking in to book, and they do fill up quickly--when we checked in, only a couple of rooms were left. I've been very happy with both of my stays and will absolutely continue stopping here on future trips. Highly recommended!

Maybe because we walked in and announced that we were returning customers. Not helpful. Be sure to use Expedia. I am removing one star.
