The gentlemen who screamed Fuc* you I front of neighbors and ring cámara while standing in front of the Pinch a Penny truck.

First time getting serviced, my greeting was if he would have to ring the bell every time as I told him I would open gate and put the dog away. I told him if he comes every scheduled day at the same time no, I would have dog put away and gate opened. Otherwise he would have to knock. He immediately got bothered and told me to wait while he got on the phone. At that point I told him I didn't need the service, thats when he got irate and said Fuc* you! In front of my neighbors who were outside and my ring recording him. I was expecting a hello, I'm here to clean your pool. Save your time and money!

Pinch A Penny was amazing in helping me identify what my pool builder was telling me was yellow algae that it actually was a metal or iron stain. Unfortunately I had to jump through all the other hoops with my builder to get there, but eventually Pinch-A-Penny was right all along and after two weeks of uncertainty I let them take the wheel and clear up my pool in just one day! Brandon and Kyle specifically were amazing in being patient, professional and knowledgeable with a very scary situation for us-our entire newly plastered pool was 100% covered with yellow/brown stain! I spent about $60-$80 in chemicals and a few hours to clean up what others couldn't properly diagnose that are "experts" in two weeks and $700 in chemicals. Excellent service, integrity and honesty. These guys are really awesome!

UPDATE- The day I posted this, I finally got a call, so I changed my 1 star to 2 stars. Martin…read morecame out, and fussed about the spa, and then told me, he will need to make a third return call, not this Monday, but NEXT Monday to bring his sump pumps and vacuum etc. So, still not repaired to blow out the lines. I will update again if anything ever gets finished. I bought a lovely swim spa from Spas Unlimited a couple of years ago. We have enjoyed the spa. Noticed a few issues this spring. Reached out to Esmeralda in service. Paid a Couple hundred dollar service fee. Waited over a month for a Technician to visit. He spend about 10 mins with my spa. Enough to remove filters and the top of spa. He stated he needed a compressor to blow the lines, and the spa jets seemed glued on and were not popping off easily. He left. I truly thought he was either going to get a compressor or have lunch. He never returned. I waited another week to call Esmeralda who stated that they were "waiting to see how the owner wanted to proceed with the repair". I haven't heard back in three weeks. The request for service started back in Spring. It is now almost August. Unsure of what I paid $$ for service call. Absolutely nothing was done. I've been more than patient.

On September 27, 2025, I entered into a contract with Spas Unlimited and paid a deposit. Under…read moreTexas law, consumers have the right to cancel certain contracts within three (3) business days and receive a full refund. I exercised this right and notified the business in writing within the legal timeframe. Despite this, Spas Unlimited has refused to issue my refund and continues to withhold my deposit for services that were never rendered. I have given them every opportunity to resolve this matter, yet they have not honored the cancellation or complied with the law. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, and it shows a lack of integrity and accountability in how they conduct business. Customers should be very cautious before signing any contract with Spas Unlimited, as they may not honor cancellations or refunds even when required by law.

They knocked everything out quicker than anyone else I talked to, and the quality came out way better than I imagined. They really went above and beyond -- can't recommend them enough.

After reading some of the negative reviews, they are all related to my issues, if you don't want to…read morebelieve me, believe the trend. See below for details. I was very pleased with my pool and service for the first couple of months, but then the problems started. In short, they do a fair job on the structural, but they use cheap materials for the cosmetic part (plaster, tile, grout, pavers, turf, etc.). Quality of materials used and unresponsive to warranty. Most of the issues will appear around the 6-month mark, then they'll tell you they are very busy and please be patient someone will address it, then when your warranty expires, they say is your fault or it is normal. Full disclosure, they did address some minor issues as a "favor". But some of the issues came back because the problem is the quality of the material they used/offer. Their pricing is above most pool builders by at least 50% - I assumed paying premium was a way of having certainty I wouldn't go through this. I was wrong. There were several (minor?) issues when the pool was finished, but I was told "It is normal or will correct itself", after a few months passed they were "gracious" on coming and fixing some of the things I was complaining about, mostly cosmetic and one related to the pumps. Issues: - Pool pump will shut down after using the spa or just by switching it on. They fixed this with some sort of regulator at no cost. - Paid for an upgrade on the water scuppers, they rusted very quickly (I would assume they used element resistant material, or high quality, but I was wrong). After MANY emails and probably a year after, they finally "fixed" it by applying a coating that will prevent rust, so far it has worked, but I am sure this will be a problem in the months to come. - Stone pavers, they looked great for the first 2 months... after a couple of heavy rains, they are all misaligned some sank, some popped up. This upgrade was expensive, and they don't sand by the quality they announce. - Plaster. from day 1 i noticed the color was not uniform. I asked them and they told me it was normal and will become uniform as I brush or clean my pool. A year after, the pool looked the same. They came back and did an acid wash of the pool. The plaster color now is uniform but not the color I selected, also I got an upgrade to have shiny shell bits and after the acid wash, they are now white dots. After I asked for a resolution, they are deaf to my questions and they only response I am out of warranty, even when plaster is 10 years. On top of everything, the plaster is falling off. - Water sheer descent. They installed a descent where the water flows in chunks, not as a single downflow, so it looks weird. They say is my fault because I don't clean it. Although I clean it, I don't think is supposed to act that way. A second service person came and said, Oh we have to open the thing a bit more, he did, improved a little but same outcome. To the point we never use the sheer descent, because it looks ugly. - Tile and Grout. The tile we picked at the design center is not made for pool or outdoor, it absorbs the elements in the water and environment and became stained. The grout they use is permeable as well, so scaling surfaced easily. Had issue also with the coping, turf, and other minor things that I decided to leave out, so the post is not even longer. They also claim to be ALL-American, and most of the contractors they use are immigrants (nothing wrong with that). But just beware, it is just another lie. I don't know how a company can say to you "God bless" when they are so dishonest.
