Do not buy a vehicle from this dealership! The frame was rotted and they wouldn't take the vehicle back or fix it.

French Town Auto Sales sold us a bad pick-up truck NOT SAFE for the road . It had a broken ball…read morejoint, loose body parts, leaking windshield pouring water in every time it rained. Worst part is there was a brand new inspection sticker on the windshield . Fraudulent inspection - it must have been one of his buddies that put that bad sticker on the truck. Once we bought the truck we had a "30 day bumper to bumper warranty " but that was not true ! We was offered the opportunity for them to register the truck ! Convenient right ? WRONG ! We had to do everything for them to register our truck and still it was about 20 days past the expired 20 day temp plate and they blamed it on us, the DMV, and everyone else but themselves . We went for an alignment and the garage found a bad ball joint and refused to allow us an alignment and they also told us there was much more wrong with the truck especially metal that can fly off the truck but ultimately it was not safe to do the alignment because of the bad ball joint. I called French Town about the situation and they told me my son agreed to 50% to fix what was not originally inspectable when they sold us the truck but that was not true either (Liar's). I told them absolutely no way would we agree to that and I would be contacting the state inspection garage. The owner Bill claimed we was trying to extort him by getting a truck we paid for the way he told us it was but really wasn't. He screwed us ! He told me to bring the truck in but would not fix it under the warranty he said we HAD and told us it WOULD BE 50 % and refused to tell us if he was charging us 50% of the repairs or not when I emailed him again Here is a link to French Town Auto Sales voicemail they left us https://youtube.com/shorts/ldFTBcWQI8c?feature=share BUYERS BE WARE BECAUSE YOUR STORY WILL END UP HERE !

I cannot recommend Ken enough! I needed to get out of my lease early and purchase another vehicle,…read moreand he made the process a breeze. He promptly replied to my email and immediately got to work helping me find the best course of action. If you hate lengthy visits to the dealership and the confusing nature of salesmen and the auto buying process, AMS Auto is the way to go. There wasn't a moment during the process that I felt uninformed or stressed, and I couldn't have walked away happier with the price for my trade-in and new car. Knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly saves you time and peace of mind.

I attempted to use Ken last summer for purchasing a vehicle from a used car auction but let him go,…read moreforfeited my retainer, and just got my vehicle from CarMax. I was not very happy with the quality of communication during the process. Believing that used car auctions are a thin market, I started with a broad set of models of interest, and Ken asked me to narrow it down aggressively. I did so (to a Mazda CX-5); then there was nothing on the horizon to consider. I got to hear about a couple specimens in the same size class (Ford Escapes). He once pinged me about a model that in a different, much larger, size class, and I wasted a bit of time looking up specifications to figure that out. In paying a cash brokerage fee to access a weird market, I expect my agent to have a good intuition for the depth of the market and not to mix up size classes. Ken shared vehicles coming up for auction by texting me illegible cell phone pictures of his computer screen. It wasn't a good experience to go through those. Some vehicles had reports of damage, and I often felt he was trying to minimize rather than clarify what the damage reports meant. Ken may well be a great asset in purchasing a vehicle from a dealer. Since the cars can be inspected in person and dealer does the work of presenting the vehicles, I think it could go very well to have a professional like Ken on your team to push back on the dealer. I think the 5-star reviews here attest to this possibility. However, I don't think this is the case for purchasing a vehicle from an auction. In the spirit of constructive criticism, I think Ken could offer a used car auction experience of some interest after improving his communication. After paying Ken's fee, shipment, detailing, repairs, etc., you'll save $1-2k versus the CarMax price for the equivalent car. In return, you bear an uncertain wait for your car to come up at auction and to be processed; the work/irritation of registering the car yourself at the end; no warranty; and the risk of nasty surprises in bringing a sight-unseen used car up to snuff through garages that Ken knows and you don't. In the end, I decided that the potential savings weren't worth the risk, delay, and trouble.
