Proof of my last communication attempt I had call since July thinking it would be faster since they would never respond

Literally the worst small business I had to deal with. I was so saddened to realize the unprofessionalism of the business owner. Truly just a cash grabber and very rude individual. I had to cancel my membership due to moving for work, they refused to cancel and they mentioned the one charging me was their app mindbody. I contacted Mindbody multiple times they said they had nothing to do with my reocurring charges. Mindbody emailed them, I texted Pilax Pilates, no response, when I called, they would not answer. On calls they said they will do all they could on their end to not charge me but they still continue to do so. It's been almost a year of me having to call my bank and dispute each month charge for their business. They pride themselves in being latina and women owned and they honestly give us a bad rep. I know other girls who had the same experience where they REFUSED to cancel our membership and continue to charge us monthly. Please avoid their place at all cost. Not only are they money grabbers, but they talk about their clients behind their backs and are just overall completely unprofessional. Is there a reason you deleted your very unprofessional, client blaming, attacking, and lack of accountability comment? You keep asking your reviewers for proof. But where is your proof of contracts? Of cancellations? If you responding to our texts and emails? Your proof of the way you spoke to us when we would call? Every girl that's tried to cancel can't reach you other than by phone and you only ask them to send you their email and then you do nothing. You also claim that the MINDBODY app is who charges people's account when that is not the case at all and you know that. How come your review on BBB is also related to scamming of memberships? I respected you as an instructor and I loved the studio, that's why I said it was sad to see the other side of you when it came to this matter. Ultimately I did not know how else to get your attention but I'm glad this made you respond. I just hope you stop scamming your very loyal clients

Although their website says "free first time class" I found out, that's a no. I did all this online and received text and email reminders. I drive all the way over there and it's locked at 11am on Monday, although website says "open". I call and the female says they switched computer systems and that one I used don't work for them anymore. Um ok. I just made that appointment like a week or two ago. She made a snotty remark like "well it's a computer so yeah it will send reminders". Then she proceeds to tell me that they don't do "free classes" anymore but will honor it if only I can come to an early morning class. Not very customer driven in my mind. Even if you do switch computer services you find out what's in there to be present. Gas wasted. Place looks shady anyways.

My sister and I went to our first class on a Saturday morning. It was from 10am to 10:50am. This was my first workout since I gave birth 3 months ago so I definitely was nervous and am very out of shape. Christian was the instructor and also is the owner and she did amazing! You go at your own pace. Lights are low. Only women. It was the first time I went to a workout and I did not feel that intense pressure of everyone looking at me trying to keep up. She stresses for everyone to just focus on yourself which I appreciated. Thank you for the fun class. Hoping to return!

Maria, the owner, has been very helpful and kind in answering any questions I have about the studio. I like how detailed they are and the flow of each class. Humani stays true to what Pilates really is. From my perspective, the focus is on mindful, intentional movement. I'm able to work on my flexibility, core, and strengthen my muscles every time I visit. The place itself is beautiful. They have street parking, however, I always find a spot for class. If you're interested in learning Pilates or continuing your practice, I highly recommend checking out Humani for their introductory classes to start (Machines 101 and Foundations).

Maria (the owner), has built something so special here, and you can see how much heart and intention she pours into every detail. From the instructors she hires to the way each class is structured. Her passion truly shows! Every instructor is phenomenal, but I have to give a special shoutout to Molly, she's my absolute favorite! Her classes are thoughtful, challenging, and always leave me feeling stronger and more connected to my body. The level of instruction is truly unmatched - they don't just lead you through movements, they guide you, explain how you should feel in each exercise, when to breathe, how to align, and they correct your form in the kindest and most encouraging way. Each class is different, and I always leave having learned something new. It truly breaks my heart to be moving away from Humani, because I know no other studio will compare. Humani has honestly set the bar so high. If they ever open a studio in Marin, I'll be first in line and a customer for life. No question!!! Until then, I'll be soaking in every last class over the next few weeks before I go and will absolutely be back every time I visit family. Thank you, Maria, Molly, Charlotte and the entire Humani team, for creating such a beautiful, intentional space. This place will forever have my heart.

Time To Be Fit is an excellent core training/Pilates/yoga studio that opened a few months ago. It's…read moretucked away behind the Peets at 37 & J, you can smell the coffee sometimes as it wafts through the workout rooms. There are some combined cycle/floor mat classes, Yoga, stretching, and my favorite - the core circuit workout. These classes are limited to eight participants and you get lots of personal attention. It usually starts out with cycling to get the heart rate up, then a combination of strength training and cardio in various stations among the two main rooms of the studio. For instance one session might go - cycling, Bosu plank pushups, bicep curls, cycling, leg lunges, triceps, cycling, chest presses, ball sit-ups and so on. You can get class cards for most of the instruction, but the core circuit requires a month sign-up and is priced separately from the others. Of course all the workout equipment is brand new - lots of spin cycles, arm and leg machines, free weights, foam rollers and the first-class Pilates room. I have to say I'm not a Pilates person. Those machines remind me of medieval torture devices - all those straps and wires and pulleys - ugh. But I'm sure owner Robyn and trainer Jill are extraordinarily competent in what they do, and I've been very happy with my own non-Pilates experience. TTBF's decor is modern, stylish and soothing in greens and earth tones with mixed textures and materials, it's got a green vibe. There are three attractive rooms joined by a long, photo-lined corridor, plus a reception area with drinks etc. for sale, and a serene, very private outdoor patio replete with chaise lounges, plants and a fountain. One nice touch is that there are no paper towels in the restrooms - just baskets full of freshly-laundered, white terrycloth hand towels. The clientele seems to be mostly women; the place has a friendly, non-threatening atmosphere, more emphasis on the positive than pushiness or browbeating if that makes sense. I'm always sweating when I leave, a good sign. I've been going here for a couple of months and have noticed an improvement in my overall fitness and strength. Robyn, one of the owners, is a former ballet dancer and gave me tips on what I need to work on to improve my passion - salsa dancing (core, core, core). And when I know I'm going to be out late dancing, trainer Jill lets me go easy on my legs. Now how unusual is that? The only thing I wish they'd do is have a combined class card for the core circuit AND the regular fitness classes, but that's a relatively small thing for the level of training you get.

I started at Time To Be Fit [TTBF] in early October with my personal trainer, Shenan Sira. We've…read morehad about 16 private pilates sessions so far, with many years more worth in my mind. It had been a few years since I worked out or done any exercise at all prior to meeting Shenan at TTBF. Before I moved to Sacramento, my previous personal trainer in Sonoma County and I had become involved and she broke my heart. So, dealing with the emotions of it translated into not wanting to exercise because it reminded me of her. We'll use that excuse for not getting off my butt. Fast forward two years and I needed to do something to help this tired old body. I searched for great personal trainers near my home in the McKinley Park neighborhood of the East Sacramento district and found both Robyn (the owner) and Shenan at Time To Be Fit mentioned in Google searches and on Yelp. After I filled out my Health Questionnaire and received a movement evaluation from Shenan, I started on my new road to physical fitness. Most of my workout history and experiences with personal trainers were cardio and weight training oriented. I didn't exactly understand how intense, isometric, and isotonic the practice of pilates really was! I have some experience with Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan, and even ballet. Pilates reminds me of all these things . . . if done correctly with the expert guidance of a great instructor like Shenan Sira. My body is doing better after the physical therapy approach Shenan took with me as I began training. And, the pilates equipment with names like "reformer" and "tower" are actually used by some physical therapists. I'm toning, strengthening, losing weight, and beginning to remember how it feels to be healthy and strong again. I love that fit feeling! Time To Be Fit is a private, boutique, lovely little facility. As with all businesses, it is the people who are its life blood. I am very fortunate to have found a kind, compatible, sensitive, and highly skilled training professional in Shenan Sira working there. Review 0176 Feel.
