I like to switch between these two studios which gives me way more options for classes. I like the set up here and love that it's darker than other studios I've visited. All of the instructors have been very helpful and hands on with the exception of Shelby so I try to avoid her classes. Finding parking has never been an issue for me but I can see it getting packed during peak times. If you're new, try to go 5-10 minutes earlier to ask questions about the mega reformer as the classes fly by. It can be intimidating but just focus on form and don't forget to take grippy socks as they charge $20 for them.

It really shows how attentive and caring she is with her students. I've been coming here for about two years now, usually taking a class every few months since I like to mix up my workouts. I always make sure to include it in my routine and try to book classes when Melinda is teaching. She takes the time to correct form in such a supportive way, which makes a big difference. Each class is a great mix of stretching and strength-building through Pilates, and I always leave feeling stronger, more aligned, and refreshed.

Have taken 3 (challenging) classes here and I am a fan…read more I was on the fence after my initial arrival at the first class because they clearly wrote on their website 10 minutes early for instruction and orientation but when I arrived early the teacher had also just arrived and I think my early arrival left her unsettled. Anyway, it wasn't my first time on a reformer machine so I had that advantage and the quick reintroduction was sufficient. I also knew from the website to bring grip socks, a typical requirement at Pilates studios but don't forget. They sell them if you do for $18. The high intensity, slow tempo strength training description hits the nail on the head. That is highly accurate. It feels so good on the body but yields muscle failure and quivering legs. It is so intense. As is typical post Pilates, I have soreness in parts of my body I didn't realize existed. Currently it's my flanks, the sides of my stomach. I love it. I love that it's in the canyon, easily accessible and intimate. If you want to go, book early. There are only 7 slots per class. They guide you through the exercises and keep it positive. The studio has lots of time slots available and the pricing is fair compared to other studios. Now to the CONS The studio is dirty. I've only gone twice and both times it's back to back classes so the studio doesn't get cleaned in between. Both times, I saw lots of hair on the floor, my mat, in the reformer and just lots of other crumbs and boogers, whatever else accumulated throughout the day. The class is designed like a circuit and you don't use the reformer the entire time, both times juts one exercise used the machine. It's very strange to be in a Pilates studio and not use the machines more. The equipment (weights, benches,etc) is worn out, cracked, dirty and just needs updating. Overall, I got a great workout regardless and was sweating my brains out so if this stuff is not an issue, you will enjoy the class as everyone else in there is happy to be there and clearly been coming for a while. But for me, I really wanted a reformer class that utilizes the machines for the majority, if not the entirety of the class.
