I was passing this studio before it opened and it looked so nice inside. I was so excited when I was able to book a class. Inside everything is new and it feels luxe, you'll be greeted by someone working at the counter and then you can take your reformer. I've taken A few different beginner classes Sean is good and really pushes you, and Kerenor has such great energy it felt good being motivated by her. My only complaint was the last class I took they played some horribly explicit music with Ni**a this & Ni**a that, and I found it annoying trying to do Pilates to, but overall I really enjoy this space. If you're looking for a place to do Pilates this is it!

I come here several times a month with my very dear athletic sister from another mister. It's torture but it's only 45 minutes and it's effective and efficient! I love workouts like this. All the instructors here are knowledgeable and personal. We have our favorites but you should see for yourself and then go to the mall and go shopping

I was about a year postpartum when I joined the gym and I can honestly say that Diana helped me feel good again. Her motivational words with the right amount of push helped me get breakthrough in my work out journey. The gym is immaculate. Bathrooms are clean and always well stocked with hair ties and all the women necessities. The community is great. Parking can be a little though depending on the time of day because they're located right outside of the mall, but you always find a spot. Over all love this gym. Diana truly is a gem and makes the Pilates community come together. Thank you for your great service, Diana!

Been a member for over a year, so many mixed feelings about this gym…read more The best part is; Women's only! Amazing, have had amazing interactions and new friendships with the women here. The energy is great until recently, newer members can be rude and don't have common courtesy or gym etiquette. Keep in mind price is high, I pay almost $300 for the membership that does include spin and Pilates. But the class schedule now isn't the best. A lot of the OG good Pilates instructors have quit. Shani is definitely the best one still here. Jill's spin class is 10/10. But I don't see why the high price tag. A lot of machines are constantly broken. The bathrooms are constantly out of soap and toilet paper, and are dirty half the time. Classes get cancelled constantly. A few of the instructors are rude and hog gym equipment. Ash at front desk is the best and always so sweet, Skye and Dani have amazing strength classes but I can't make it half the time due to the inconsistency with child care, even tho Lupe is amazing with kids. But the rest of the staff can be rude and not accommodating. Always new front desk girls What brought me here originally was the kids club. As a new mom, this was the best opportunity. There is just no consistency and there's a lot of rules and regulations that aren't really discussed when you sign up. They advertise everywhere that they offer kids club but at least once a week, kids club is closed or opened late and a different time daily so I end up missing or being late to my scheduled classes. Originally I was taking 2 classes some days, being at the gym for over 2 hours, using the gym as therapy with new girlfriends. Then I was told I'm only allowed to use kids club for an hour and 15 minutes whether someone is in there to watch your kid or not. Which is not a lot of time. After an hour class, I barely have time to use the restroom and fill up my water before I'm texted to come pick up my daughter. Leaves me no time to use the amenities I'm paying for. There's no food or drinks allowed for the kids but it seems these rules are only targeted to certain members. A lot of moms have canceled their membership due to this and have gone to equinox which makes sense given we pay equinox prices. The communication in the gym is very poor. Classes with my favorite instructors are canceled with no explanation. Gym floor classes have been moved to an even darker corner with no ventilation or room for the class size it's intended for. A lot of the girls are from class pass and apparently can't use any basic amenities which again how is anyone supposed to know. There's no signs up or communication. It just seems to be one thing after another but I really hope they continue to try to make changes so they don't lose anymore members. I love it here and my daughter loves coming with me, it's just becoming more of burden as of late.

I love this place!…read more Natalie, the owner of Woodland Hills Pilates was recommended to me back before covid. I met her in a studio off of Ventura Blvd. She took her personal time to introduce me to Pilates and gave me 3 one on one lessons. She explained to me how the machine operated, breathing techniques, and specifically let me know what muscles I should be feeling at work, during each movement. Like many people my age or even all ages both men and women, I suffer from chronic sciatica pain, which in my case is a nerve being pinched from vertebra and the pain can radiate around my hip down the front of my leg to my knee; and when its really bad, I have pain all the way down to my foot. I've had 4 epidural shots in 2017, and recently had another 3 epidural this past year. Currently waiting for an MRI this weekend so a Dr. can come up with another solution. Natalie took the time back in 2019 to only give me exercises that I could do. She pinpointed that my front right leg and my back left leg was week and my front left leg and my back left were much stronger. This new information gave me a place to start adjusting my workouts to strenthening and sturdy my "gate" :) A matter of a fact another physical trainer I saw months later identified the exact same diagnosis as Natalie did. WoW! Since I live in Lake Balboa, I don't get up to Fallbrook to often, but when I can I do make sure to get over there and take a class. She also has some other talented teachers. The classes are very intimate, yet comfortable because there are 4 reformers in each class. I also like that each class seems different and we do different variations of exercises at each class. I also attend a studio just around the corner from my house, and they are great too, but we always to the same movements each time. Lastly, if I ask for a modification exercise due to my low back issue, both Natalie and the other instructors there are happy to show me modifications.:), and they seem happy to be working there ;and most important, I don't feel rushed out. The only thing I would like to see, is for them to sell tank tops or work out shirts for us to wear, I know I would wear them everywhere.. : ) I highly recommend signing up for Woodland Hills Pilates, hopefully it will help any back pain you have, like it does mine. Respectively, Janell C

Not a great experience with this private studio. The equipment was too narrow, and limiting, and…read morewhile not 100% the owners responsibility - it meant some discomfort and a feeling of not getting an ideal experience due to constraints of equipment (which the owner admitted was not ideal... she was limited by what the company she ordered from manufactured ... but still ... she knew it created discomfort and constrictions...) Sadly - as is wont with some small Owners unwilling to take fair feedback - untruthful comments get thrown in, rather than addressing the input and perhaps using it to help business. But again this Owner was not comfortable discussing, so all that was left was one-sided communication as to the challenges. After only a handful of sessions and paying for a full package, it became clear the owner was not as patient as she had stated upfront- with "everybody having different needs" and Pilates being "very much about the individual finding their comfort zone", etc. A few times when I expressed pain during an exercise, there would be this awkward silence and she would appear frustrated, rather than simply working around as an experienced Pilates instructor will do. Pilates is about healing and strengthening the body first and foremost - so if something is hurting, that's an indication that somethings clearly needs to be adjusted. But that didn't seem to be comfortable for owner at times. There were also a lot of assurances made of availability ..: and I had been upfront that I was still completing radiation during the work week, and therefore things were a bit week by week - especially during Covid, and my work schedule would require some amount of flexibility with scheduling on a weekly basis. I was given a lot of assurances that she understood that and would definitely work things out because she was in what she did to help heal and that she look forward to figuring it out. I believe a LOT of people were dealing with changing work conditions throughout Covid. Owner had limitations that came up with last minute social plans, and one weekend breaking her phone limiting communication; cancelling a session via text- which I spotted only after I had driven out to Woodland Hills. After only a handful of sessions - with out courtesy of a call- she TEXTED to cancel the package. No discussion - she simply decided that was best for her. It would've been far more respectful (especially knowing my illness) and professional to at least have allowed for a brief, friendly closure. One thing I continually noted was that to every compliment, I got a negative response. Complimented the curtains covering the garage door windows (studio is a converted garage - tastefully done) - Owner responded she wasn't happy with how they came out. Complimented the bathroom tiling, and that was met with a story about how the reconstruction had gone, that things didn't come out exactly as she wished. One hopes their 55 minutes of private exercise will be a reasonably upbeat, positive experience. Of course- it takes two to create a vibe - pilates is about healing and some amount of working with a client's limitations and injuries (and not always comfortable for the client in pain) - and as a recent survivor I'm apprehensive in a new space - so one hopes the instructor understands and accepts those concerns as it's their business, and their studio they're welcoming clients into (and charging hourly for!) ... positivity and patience go a long way. On the plus side: the house the studio is located in is beautiful, incredibly clean and well-kept. As noted, it's nicely decorated. Fluorescent lighting was a challenge - the owner's solution was to keep lighting dim at night ... a bit of a downer. Pricing is reasonable, and I believe the owner really does have good intentions, and is experienced and knowledgeable. Thank you.

I've only gone twice and both times it's back to back classes so the studio doesn't get cleaned in between. The class is designed like a circuit and you don't use the reformer the entire time, both times juts one exercise used the machine. It's very strange to be in a Pilates studio and not use the machines more. The equipment (weights, benches, etc) is worn out, cracked, dirty and just needs updating. Overall, I got a great workout regardless and was sweating my brains out so if this stuff is not an issue, you will enjoy the class as everyone else in there is happy to be there and clearly been coming for a while.
