My boyfriend and I took a class with Dana W and it was fantastic. Difficult in the best way and she offered modifications and pointers throughout the class that were very helpful. read more

LOVED BetterBody Fitness! Fantastic workout and the instructor Alexis really knew what she was doing! The class size was perfect because it wasn't a huge studio, typically at the larger Pilates classes I don't feel that instructors are able to give you as much attention, but at BetterBody I felt like Alexis was able to make sure I was in the right form during every exercise. I will definitely be back! read more

I'm pretty athletic and in shape but wow this class really does make me feel muscles I never new existed! During covid I have ran 5-7x a week about 5-7 miles a day but this class with Michelle is just killer. I never thought I would find a workout other than running that is constantly challenging to me but this place takes it to the next level. I'm so happy I found this studio from my co-workers. Michelle is the best! And I love her energy during the class. I highly highlyyyy recommend this studio and Michelle as the instructor read more

I absolutely love the classes at BetterBody Fitness! The instructors always have great routines & tailor them to the classes needs and levels. Mari has created such a comfortable environment allowing people to step out of their comfort zones! I was super nervous to start doing pilates & Mari totally put me at ease, whilst ensuring I had my basics and technique down! 11/10 would recommend trying pilates with Mari & BetterBody ! read more

I recently attended my first pilates class with Mari at Betterbody Fitness after completing many many classes at Club Pilates. Going into my session with Mari I felt ready to take on a more in depth training to see exactly where my Pilates practice was at. And let me tellll you Mari completely excelled in giving me the full body workout I've been seeking. The hour long session with Mari felt above and beyond what I am used to. Considering that the lowest spring available on the Reformer at Club Pilates is a blue spring and the workouts are often limited because instructors play it very safe and are way too concerned about clients potentially hurting themselves. It felt great to be encouraged to try more challenging and control based pilates moves. During my session with Mari we used the yellow spring requiring more control which was new to me, but challenging in the best way. She introduced me to at least 3/4 different principle pilates moves I had never tried before. Mari was attentive and maintained dialogue throughout our session about muscle engagement. She went the extra mile in using her PT skills to evaluate my form and reminded when to lift or pivot to better maintain form. The studio was clean and the general environment felt great. I can't wait to attend more pilates sessions with Mari and master that yellow spring! Thank you Mari for your good energy and expertise! read more

I have finally found my go to Pilates studio..Sarah's classes are the best! She is very knowledgeable and knows how to work with any injuries or issues you may have. Mari is beyond the best! I'm loving her new EMS workout too. Such a great addition to my routine!

Very organized. Love our instructor Sarah who always challenges us. Will recommend the studio to anyone

It had been years since I'd taken a pilates class and let me tell you, I was nervous but Mari was incredibly supportive but still kicked my butt! She was great with guiding me into new exercises and mindful of any injuries giving comfortable modifications but keeping the session challenging. I left feeling strong and confident and look forward to going back again. read more

Better Body is an amazing pilates studio! I attend both mat and reformer pilates classes at least 3x/weekly via Class Pass and I keep coming back to Better Body for a consistent, well-rounded workout! Classes are challenging and there is a focus on appropriate form, which sometimes gets lost in group environments. I appreciate how the instructors provide real-time feedback to prevent any injuries, as well as modifications if needed. Mari has been in business for over 20 years and there's a clear reason why! Can't wait for my next class. read more

It was my first time taking a Pilates class & it was a great workout! I felt the shakes, the sweat, & definitely the burn. Michal was an amazing instructor & would go around to cue when not in the proper positions. This is definitely the type of Pilates & attention people need. I look forward to my next class! read more

I found BetterBody when starting my fitness journey in preparation for my wedding. After the COVID pandemic lockdown, I found myself 20 lbs over my baseline and out of practice with my exercise and fitness routine. I began private pilates reformer sessions with Michelle, and I slowly gained my strength again. Michelle is an extremely experienced, knowledgeable, committed trainer. She meets you where you're at, learns the nuances of your body and pushes you past your comfort zone in the best way possible. Michelle welcomed me back to pilates and helped me surpass my own expectations of what I could achieve during our sessions. She is so friendly, welcoming and supportive. I highly recommend Michelle if you are looking for an instructor who will invest in your progress. Thank you Michelle for helping me reach my wedding weight goal and helping me get back into a fitness routine! read more

I went in for a Saturday morning group session and it was so fun! It was my first Pilates class ever and I didnt know what to expect but it was perfect as all of the exercises and stretches were well explained and modifications were explained as well to make certain things harder and easier according to our ability levels. Even though it was a group class, our instructor Alexis was very attentive to each of us and made sure we all had correct form. It was just hard enough for me to feel the burn and leave me a little sore the next day, but not too difficult as to where I struggled as a beginner. Overall I highly recommend BetterBody and their group classes even if you've never done Pilates, and the workers there are very nice and welcoming! read more

I'm new to the world of Pilates but after having my baby a year and a half ago, and still carrying the pregnancy weight, I wanted to try something different than just boxing and yoga. I was hesitant, but when I drove up to Better Bodies, a woman came out that had the most amazing body I have seen that wasn't photoshopped! (I later learned she was in her 60's- are you kidding me??? I want that body at 40, let alone 60!) The women inside were all so inspiring and the welcoming atmosphere...well, I felt right at home, even as a beginner. The owner and staff here are amazing women!!! Truly, lovely human beings and it is a pleasure walking in the door. As for the workout- Wow! These ladies have moves that would bring my ringside trainer to his knees (I'd honestly love to see that ;) & I could feel the burn within minutes, under their careful instruction on correct form. My first lesson, I was sore LEAVING the studio & knew I'd had a great workout. A few days later, I could still feel that core workout, but I made it in for another lesson- I'm definitely hooked and eager to see my body a year from now. Keep up the great work ladies! read more

Highly recommend!! read more

BetterBody Pilates - Pilates Reformer - Pilates Near Me - Calabasas, California

Mari is the best Pilates instructor I've ever had! She kicks my butt, but it's still fun while you're doing it. I live in SF, otherwise I would be here every other day. I have been in town for a couple of weeks and have been regularly coming to BetterBody while here, and now I wish I never had to leave. Every time I visit Southern California I will definitely be coming back. Even after only a few sessions I can notice a difference in my performance and strength. I also brought my boyfriend, who has never done Pilates or yoga and struggles with his flexibility, but after 2 sessions with Mari he said how much of a difference he noticed! It's an amazing workout for any body type or level, and every time you go you can really notice a difference in your abilities. Thanks Mari! We will be back soon!!! read more

BetterBody Pilates - Stretching after a great workout! - Pilates Near Me - Calabasas, California

Better Body is an outstanding studio with top notch instructors. Knowledgeable and patient, they they stretched and strengthened my body as I worked to recover from a fractured hip. One intro session with Mari breathed life into my muscles and I was hooked! Pilates connects my mind and body, helps my posture and tones everything. Ten sessions with Jen flattened my abs better than I'd seen in over a decade. Then Michelle strengthened, sweated, stretched everything - serious workouts, every time new and customized to my body. Serious results! The studio is super clean and sanitized before and after each client. read more

I found Better Body from a mailer and through Yossi, the magic stretch guy you'll find there! While I went to experience Yossi's sports stretching technique, I have since fallen in love with Pilates and the instructors who work at Better Body. They are all amazing. And don't forget to book a few minutes with Yossi. If you weren't hooked before Yossi, you will be after! Convenient location with easy parking on the outside! Clean and nice with happy vibes on the inside! And thank you, Justine, for keeping all of our schedules straight so we all know when to show up! Such a lovely and personal touch for a studio! Better Body Pilates is such a great place! I am a massage therapist that does pain management, and was looking for a Pilates studio in the area that really focuses on each person as an individual, even in a group setting. And let me say... I got what I was looking for! I had Jennifer, and before we got started she asked the 2 newbies (myself and another) if we had any injuries, pain or restrictions that she should be aware of. This SHOULD be asked of every person, but most places just dont do it. So hats off to Jennifer for standing above the rest! The rest of our class went great, and she even tailored certain movements differently to us newbies, as well as the others who were more experienced. I truly felt that I got a Pilates session that was right for ME! As for the studio: It is a standalone building, which makes it much more intimate, without hearing noise from other businesses or outside noise in the front. Perfect setting! The layout of the studio is really inviting and instantly makes you feel comfortable right when you walk in the door. If you are looking for a Pilates studio that provides top notch training and makes you feel like a person on not just another body, you MUST check out Better Body! This place is awesome! read more
