Many other cars parked outside of the gate, along the curb on each side of Victory Blvd. The parking lot sign showed open from dawn to dusk, so we had at least an hour to explore before the 7:20pm sunset and potential tow. The weather was absolutely gorgeous for an evening hike!! Blue sky, cool breeze, rolling hills of green, and the sun setting made for the perfect golden hour!! After hiking down the Victory Trailhead and then up around the Ahmanson Ranch House Trail, we found the California Poppies! We also ran into a group of photographers so we didn't get a chance to explore as imagined before we arrived. However, we still enjoyed the sweeping views of an uninterrupted canyon. It was perfect! We saw many hiking with their dogs, a few benches, and various flowers. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes as the trails can be uneven and rocky. I would love to return but have a feeling the summer heat will arrive sooner than later. Then the green will dry out and turn into fuel. I hope that lawmakers and fire prevention experts find ways to reduce the impact of wildfires in the state of California. This area is truly a magnificent escape from the LA city hustle and bustle.

The trails open at 7:00 a.m. and the community pays for a security to make sure the area is safe. Parking: 5/5 You can street park and walk up or you can park inside and pay $3. Plenty and plenty of parking. Trails/Views: 5/5 You can take the many trails here and the views are beautiful you will see deer, bunnies and coyotes. There is a couple of little streams to cross. The trails are rolling so it can be flat, elevation and some downhills. You will love this place it looks like Ireland. This place will make you feel energized and relaxed at the same time. You can do any distance as strava has some of the maps for trails.

If attendance increases, they may be a year round pool again this year, so please come out and support the pool. For those over 50 years old, you can buy a pass good for 30 entries for only $25! Ingrid, the manager, has made sure all the clocks work, and that the soap dispensers work in the outdoor showers. These are small things, but they make a difference to your experience there. Hours are 12 to 8 Tuesday through Friday, and 1-5 Saturday and Sunday. It's never been very crowded when I'm there. Come on out, and let's help them build attendance so they can stay open all year this year!

My younger son, who is in 2nd grade, went for the first time last year and is already so excited to go back. What really stood out to me was how quickly they both adapted. My younger son joined not knowing anyone and felt welcomed almost immediately. Both of my boys felt included from day one. The staff is incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive. You can truly feel that they work hard to create a safe, joyful environment for the kids, and as a parent that means everything. The activities are fantastic: well planned, age appropriate, engaging, and fun. The natural setting is also beautiful and feels especially important these days. My boys came home with confidence, stories, friendships, and summer memories they will cherish forever. And the camp spirit is real. We still sing the silly songs at home, especially the announcements song whenever we have a family announcement, and the birthday song too. I cannot recommend Cali Camp enough. It has been such a special part of our family's life.

I have gone to several Pilates studio and this IS my favorite. I really feel like I get the personal attention I need. I have been to other studios nearby and one of the reasons that they can offer a cheaper price is that they pack them in and are very BUSY and crowded. They run a lot of classes (36 per week compared to only 9 per week that BetterBody offers), so it is likely that a private session will be sharing space with a class that has 10 participants. BetterBody offers more personalized service with highly qualified instruction. I happily returned to BetterBody! BetterBody has been in the Calabasas community for over 15 years. All of Betterbody instructors have 5-15 years pilates experience. They are all in their 40's and 50's and have been in the fitness industry for a very long time. None of them are dancers, actors, artists, etc. who are waiting for our next "real" gig. They are all committed to their careers in Pilates. My instructor has been teaching yoga and Pilates since 2005 (that's along time.) She is also a certified personal trainer so we can change it up and do weights too. I highly recommend them and they are worth the money. Oh and I forgot that they have cardio equipment that I am able to use before or after my Pilates session. They even are nice enough to let me come in just do my cardio workout on my cardio days or when it's too hot to walk outside. Love them! read more

I LOVE THIS PILATES STUDIO! It's located super conveniently (up by the big Gelson's shopping center in the heart of Calabasas) and allows you to schedule your own sessions. I'm really busy so it's helpful to use their online system (betterbodypilates.com) to schedule and change my own appointments from home. Every trainer has a different style, but they are so friendly and accomodating, I was able to find a good fit by trying different trainers. I've completely changed my body and I really enjoy my workouts (where as I used to dread going to the gym). I feel like the results I got from Pilates, were unlike any other training or diet I'd ever tried, and therefore I've stuck with it and even come in for their cardio/pilates Xtreme60 class. This is particularly one of my favorites because it makes you do cardio and some pilates, and the hour goes by so fast alternating the two! read more

Only a few months ago I was getting sick alot and extremely stressed out due to many changes in my life. A friend told me about Pilates and referred me to BetterBody in Calabasas. I can't begin to tell you how it has changed my life. Pilates relieves stress in no way I have ever known. I feel great, I sleep better. My instructor at BETTERBODY PILATES is wonderful and very knowledgable. Pilates has helped an old motorcycle injury to my shoulder so I have complete flexibility, which I have not had in three years even with physical therapy.As a man I was skeptical about trying it, I thought it was for women. I've done every exercise out there like Bootcamp, Triathlons and other "manly" fitness craze including Crossfit but nothing like BetterBody's Xtreme60 class. You are constantly moving from cardio to Pilates every 5 minutes so you never get bored!!! And tt kicks my butt (along with my entire body). I never realized how much work my abs needed. Betterbody Pilates is a great Pilates studio, especially now that Mari - the owner is able to put all her attention towards the Calabasas studio. Now there is a large variety of classes and it now has such a great atmosphere. Since the slight remodel, there is a great wall that divides the extreme classes from the privates so it feels as though you are actually having one on one time, while there are other people there. I recommend this PIlates Studio to anyone is who looking to start Pilates for the first time or has had experience with Pilates. read more

This is an amazing studio with expert and professional teachers. The studio has the feel of a wonderful boutique that has clothes tailored just for you. But instead of clothes, it's exercise. There are fabulous one-on-one Pilates sessions as well as group classes in Pilates, Bellicon (A jump and aerobic workout) and Yoga Nidra. What you will find here that you won't find at other studios is teachers who really check in with where you are at physically, so you are much less prone to injuries. It's that specialized attitude that sets this Pilates studio apart in my opinion. The atmosphere is lovely, the teachers are amazing, and the owner sets the tone and overall attitude of the studio in an expert, yet upbeat way. I like to switch between these two studios which gives me way more options for classes. I like the set up here and love that it's darker than other studios I've visited. All of the instructors have been very helpful and hands on with the exception of Shelby so I try to avoid her classes. Finding parking has never been an issue for me but I can see it getting packed during peak times. If you're new, try to go 5-10 minutes earlier to ask questions about the mega reformer as the classes fly by. It can be intimidating but just focus on form and don't forget to take grippy socks as they charge $20 for them.

Going to a beginner class, I was assuming that everything would be a little bit slower paced and easier so the instructor can come around and correct our form and make sure we are maximizing on the workout itself but they literally have no time because it's like the music was put into overdrive. We gave it a solid month to see if our mindset changed but unfortunately had to find a new place to go. We walked out feeling like our exercise could have been better because we knew our form wasn't correct but had no time or an opportunity to get it right. If you are more of an experienced dancer then this place may be the place for you since you have the basic fundamentals already down

It was such a good, balanced workout. Einav also has amazing intuition about how many more reps you have left in you. No two classes are the same and she has so many cool machines that can do cool things and she is very creative with then in the best way possible. You will never be bored. She is also very sweet and caring. I still go once in a while which is crazy because she's an hour away to and there are probably 100 pilates places between hers an my house.
