I will scream it from the mountain tops - Bar Method is the BEST! The studio has the most welcoming and positive atmosphere of any workout studio I have ever been to. Nothing intimidating here! Erin and Emily are my favorite instructors - they make me feel like I am a part of the family while also offering a challenging workout. Being one of the only guy's to be taking classes here, I thought I might be encroaching on the women's space. Boy was I wrong! Everyone has been so encouraging and patient! Took a class at another place and was so disappointed cause I didn't know what I was doing and left feeling discouraged. I wanted to try it again hoping it would be better and found Bar Method Woodland Hills. The amazing instructors are clear with their instructions, they give you corrections when needed (to avoid injuring yourself) and are so encouraging. Everyone is on different levels but you never feel judged. This place makes you feel welcome and you leave looking forward to the next class. The studio is super clean and lockers are available. The studio is located in a shopping center so parking is shared with other store. It is paid parking but the studio offers 2 hour validation. Favorite Classes to take: ALL of them. read more

This is the best exercise for women I have ever done! Men would majorly benefit too, but may be distracted by all the lovely ladies there. I am older, but have never had the long firm muscles (even when I was young and did cardio all the time), that I now have doing this consistently for 6 months. Sometimes I mistake myself for a real ballerina-haha The instructors are all inspiring and knowledgeable, the studio is clean and inviting, and they have lots of fun activities every month. Parking is rough on the weekends. The playlist is mostly rock and country music, sometimes it does not help with workouts rhythms. I am recovering from a ruptured Achilles, their instructions are not seasoned or experienced to suggest alternative moves. Tania in particular was not very helpful with practices and safety. It's unfortunate that they don't get that type of training or a least is not evident. read more

I've been to 4 other Barre studios and this one is by far my favorite. It's a smaller class size, clean and very calming vibes when you enter. The different teachers really switch up the routines. The music selection is my favorite. The incentives and goals are much more do-able. The class schedules are convenient and the length of the classes are perfection. If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. I came here as inexperienced and had not been in a gym or workout setting in at least 5 years. My first time here was a great experience. The staff is kind and I love how the instructors will redirect/or adjust you, but it's never in an embarrassing manner. Additionally, I am a stickler for cleanliness, and they keep this place CLEANNNNNNNNNN. Erin is lovely, and I'm glad I found this place and made it part of my weekly schedule. If you're in doubt, give it a try. I feel like most of their classes could work with someone who hasn't tried this exercise before. read more

Had my first intro 45 min class with my husband on Saturday morning at 7:30am! Loved it!! Erin is amazing and articulate in explaining her class. Today I feel a bit sore but a good sore! I definitely will be back. Everyone there is amazing too like we have known each other for years! My husband being the only male didn't bother him at all nor did it bother any of the ladies working out. I knew this would be helpful for him as he has arthritis and a good change from weights at the gym. I would recommend this to anyone at any age! read more

Finally, a Bar Method closer to my home! I've attended classes in Studio City and Santa Clarita, but let's face it, it's hard to feel motivated about working out after sitting in traffic for half an hour or longer. I'm thrilled that this location opened in Woodland Hills because I can no longer make that excuse! I started out with the $69 opening special, which omg what an amazing deal that was. Unlimited classes for 30 days! I was able to squeeze 13 classes into those 30 days, which was only not higher because I was traveling for work. If it weren't for that darn thing called "I need a paycheck" I would've been at 30 classes in those 30 days! I also completed my "new member challenge", which was a free pair of grippy socks (who doesn't love more socks) for finishing 12 classes in my first 30 days. Erin, Brielle, and Emily are fantastic and more teachers are coming on soon to offer even more class options which I am really excited about. There are plenty of options throughout the day, the studio is clean, fresh, and comfortably cooled (it's a great escape to forget about how much we're boiling alive in the Valley). My favorite class so far is the Bar Method Express; even though I took the same class format repeatedly the workouts vary each day as do the props. Sliders and straps kick my booty! More than just a great workout class, Bar Method has also been a wonderful place to make new friends and meet people in my community! read more

Thrilled with my experience at Bar Method. Signed up for new client special - and these ladies know how to make a gal feel special. The studio is clean and well appointed with lockers, water refill station, and AC and fans to keep the room cool. I've taken classes at 10am on Saturday, midday and evenings during the week and the temperature is always cool even though we are breaking a serious sweat. Also, parking has never been an issue. Can easily find a spot, and there are validation QR codes all over the studio. Erin and Emily are excellent instructors. By my second class each had learned my name and warmly welcomed me upon entry. During class they are cognizant to offer modifications and correct individuals as needed, always with care. The other folks in the class have also been a delight and vary in ability. It's a great little community and everyone is encouraging and respectful. A wonderful addition to the neighborhood. If you're curious, I encourage you to give it a try! read more
