First I appreciate this is not a "franchise" Pilates studio but a boutique Pilates studio owned by Sean Bergara. He is an experienced Pilates instructor and educator. He has created his own brand of Athletic Reformer Pilates which is very fun and challenging for your level. He and his team of instructors are excellent. They are willing to work with your physical abilities and injuries to ensure you get the workout you need. I love how there is a modification for all levels. Second, the studio is lovely, modern and clean. It even smells good. There are eight reformers so classes are small so you can get help or corrections if need be. The environment is very friendly and inviting whether you are there for a week, the season or a local. I highly recommend Sean and his team!

Had a bad experience here and would NEVER recommend it to anyone. I was on vacation in Palm Springs…read moreand wanted to take a pilates class close to my hotel. I found this place and walked in to inquire about the Yelp promo I had seen offering 1 free session. As soon as I walked in, I could sense attitude coming from the owner Johnny, especially after asking about the Yelp promo WHICH IS LISTED HERE ON HIS YELP PAGE. He told me to come back for one of the afternoon classes, then immediately took it back and told me that the class was cancelled and to come for a different class that would start in 15 minutes. I already felt the negativity in his voice and was hesitant but decided to let it go and give it a try. The pilates class itself was not bad and that is the only reason I am even giving it a star at all. But still, Johnny was being very cold toward me and was only acting that way toward me, and not to the other attendees. There was even another person in the class who was there for the first time, yet Johnny was nice and helpful to him but not treating me with that same kindness. Immediately after the class, Johnny loudly says to me in front of the everyone, "How are you going to pay me?". I reminded him of the Yelp promo we had discussed earlier and he snarkily said "OK so do that then." Then while collecting payment from the other first timer, he sarcastically said "I love you. This is so nice" to the man, while holding up his credit card. I knew that was directed toward me because he was upset that I wanted to use the free session coupon. I felt so disrespected that I just ended up walking away after that. I have NEVER experienced such disrespect at any Pilates studio I had been to before, and I've gone to many. I was being very respectful and nice, even though I was being treated the exact opposite. He shouldn't be including a free session promo on his Yelp page if he doesn't want people to ask about it. I would think twice before coming here, especially if you are just visiting. Places like this will never earn my business again and I will make sure to warn all of my friends and family visiting Palm Springs. I also noticed later that all of his Yelp reviews are from years ago and that should have already been a red flag to me.

This is the best Pilates studio I have found. Johnny and his sister conduct classes with safe and…read morepractical instructions. Although I attend the group classes, I feel my personal needs are addressed.

I am a former spa owner who has worked in the Wellness Industry for over 20 years and can say that…read moremy experience here, specifically with the "teacher" Leasanne, was not only astoundingly unprofessional, but downright traumatic. I was new to Hot Yoga and the Palm Springs area, so I purchased a 30 day pass with the intention of trying all the classes and finding community. The first two classes I took were amazing and did wonders for my body, which was totally locked up from a lifetime of trauma and autoimmune issues stemming from Autism and ADHD. While my disabilities are "invisible" I am used to people picking up on them and treating me differently as a result, but I never anticipated being bullied and harassed by a yoga instructor and classmates in what is supposed to be a healing and supportive environment. When I was unable to keep up with the pace of the class, which is described as "all levels welcome" Leasanne became very aggressive in singling me out with impatient corrections. Half way through the class, she came stomping over to me while I was on my back, put her beet-red sweaty face within inches of mine, sweat dripping down on me, and yelled at me for "defying" her. When I informed her that I was listening to my body and that I would continue to move at the pace my body allowed, she became even more angry and said it wasn't a Yin Yoga class and I needed to respect her authority. Last I checked, I am the authority over my own body, but either way, I've never been in a yoga class where the instructor took issue with someone doing child's pose or something similar if they needed a break, especially in a 110 degree room where over-exertion could lead to serious medical emergencies. Leasanne spent the entire 90 minute class chastising and attempting to humiliate me for my disabilities: 1. ADHD - Auditory processing and motor skill delays compromise my ability to follow verbal instruction means I need to rely on mirroring others. Isn't that why the room is full of mirrors? 2. Autism - Pathological Demand Aboidance and a connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, makes it difficult for me to transition quickly, especially when someone is micro-managing me. After the class, several other out-of-towners comforted me in the locker room. They were also appalled by Leasanne's behavior and commented that they had never witnessed anything like it and would never be coming back. When I went to leave, Leasanne and about 6 regular class members were waiting for me in the lobby. Leasanne said, "I hear you struggle with Autism" to which I replied "I'm not struggling with my Autism, but you clearly are". When I refused to shake her hand or give her a hug after she just spent 90 minutes traumatizing and harassing me in front of 30 strangers, that's when the regular class attendees surrounded me and one got up in my face to tell me that I was the problem because she has Bipolar Disorder and it didn't affect her ability to be in the class or get along with people. What!?! BPD is not AuDHD and if you're doing so great with it, why are you literally attacking me for not being able to keep up with the pace of a yoga class? That's insane. Needless to say, the whole ordeal put me into an Autistic collapse, so I didn't ever go back to be in "community" with a bunch of psychopaths. The money I spent on the 30 day pass was a loss, since I didn't have the energy or emotional regulation to advocate for myself, at that time. The experience was so traumatic I haven't been able to go to ANY group yoga classes since, and it is only now, 20 months later, that I'm even able to talk about it. I'm pretty sure I should be talking to a lawyer, but you gotta start somewhere.
