Worst experience ever. I've never witnessed such unprofessional behavior especially in a children's environment.
I came in with my daughter (8yrs old) to ask about the class schedule, times & prices. I wanted to enroll my daughter in a hip hop class.
When I walked in an older women, (the owners mother) was the only person in the studio at the time and gave me the class schedule and informed me that the hip hop class was actually going to begin in about an hour. So I asked if I brought my daughter back at the scheduled time would she be able to do the class for free considering it's her first time. She said yes.
We came back for the class. We walked in and there were a few younger girls there but no one was in the front greeting people. So we stood there and waited for someone to greet us. The owner walked in with a horrible attitude, bad vibe and not a very nice look on her face. She walked right past us, went behind the counter, set her purse down with out even acknowledging our presence and walked to the back. You could definitely tell we were new to the studio and she did not show any care in the world about who we were, or why we were there.
The owners mother was in the back baby sitting the owners 2/3 yr old daughter.
Then she returned to the front and said very rudely, "can I help you". There was no hi how are you, thank you for coming in. No enthusiasm about having a new child wanting to enroll. I mean isn't that how she makes her money?
I then told her we were there for the hip hop class and she replied "ok the drop in fee is $15.00". I then let her know I was in about an hour earlier and was told today's trial would be free. She didn't respond to me. She yelled to her mom in the back "mom come out here, you told her there was a drop in few right?!" Her mom then said "no I let her know she can do the class for free".
With anger the owner pointed to a sign in sheet and told me to sign my daughters name and then aggressively walked off.
The owners 2/3yr old daughter does the hip hop class, although she isn't old enough but because the owners mom teaches the class she joins in. So when her daughter came out for the class the owner tells her mom she doesn't want her daughter to do the class because she was "throwing up all day". I emmidately let my daughter know to keep her distance because I didn't want her getting sick. The owners mom insisted that she was fine and brought her in to the class anyway.
At this point they were talking very rude and argumentative towards each other about the situation all right infront of my daughter and I. Great first impression right? Anyway. They both stormed off and I had no idea where to go. There are two dance rooms and I had no idea at that point who was teaching the class or where to go. So we remained at the front.
Then the owner returned after storming off and said "the class is down there" and pointed down the hall.
So we walk down the hallway and the owners mother had already started the class. She was so wrapped up in the argument she was having with her daughter (the owner) she stormed off with out even guiding us to the class.
My daughter walked in and the teacher did not make her feel welcomed at all! My daughter is shy and stayed in the back of the class. The teacher was not welcoming or even attempting to incorporate my daughter in the class.
I was shocked, furious and taken back by what I just experienced. I ended up just pulling my daughter out and that was that!
There was more but this review is so long already I think you can get an idea of what the studio is like... read more
