I have only been here almost a dozen times but each time we leave feeling better than we entered. Want to know why? Because we laughed so hard and shed some tears in the process. We were fortunate enough to have seen the Christmas show with Jeff's daughter. It was such a wonderful show with her pianist and saxophonist accompanying her and multiple costume changes. We also enjoyed seeing her father perform. I must say I look for the shows where it's mainly Jeff Hobson performing because he is so funny, so talented, and he has such incredible timing with quick wit that it literally tickles my brain. Arrive an hour prior to the show and enjoy the entertainment in the lobby. You can order something to drink from the bar. Just make sure you've made dinner plans before or after the show as there's no food available. You will be treated to either musical talent or magical talent prior to the main show in the auditorium. Choose the front row if you REALLY want to participate. Great for celebrating special occassions.

When I heard they would be at Marvyn's, I made sure to secure tickets. The theater is nicely laid out and makes for an intimate experience. They have entertainment before the start of the show and an amazing bar. I believe this show was sold out. In the seating area they have hilarious sayings on the screen over the stage. Wish I could remember them. Photography is forbidden in the theater. Anyhow, they are true entertainment professionals and know how to work the room. There were several things they did that we had our mind boggled. But we're the types who don't want to find out and rather like keeping the mystery intact. Amazing really doesn't begin to describe their show. We were beyond impressed. They kind and gracious to do a meet & greet after the show. It was a most enjoyable and magical evening!

I wanted to like this place -- I gave it more than a fair shot. For a long stretch I was here…read moreconstantly: several times a month, hundreds of dollars a visit, all on my Fantasy Rewards card. So when I say they lost a genuinely loyal customer, I've got the play history to prove it. And they lost me over twenty dollars. The short version: I had a $20 cash-out ticket that went a little past its expiration. Took it to the cashier. Rather than pull up the rewards card that was literally in the machine when I printed it -- the thing that proves the ticket was mine -- they voided it, took the paper, and spent the whole interaction insisting they weren't "keeping" my money, just "voiding" it. Either way, I walked out with nothing and no explanation, and they walked off with my $20 and, as it turns out, all my future business. As for the property: it feels old and worn to me. The machines and the floor give off a tired, run-down vibe, and if you're not into sitting at slots there's basically nothing here -- no sports bar, no variety, not much atmosphere. I've never had a meal here I'd recommend. The one exception, credit where it's due, is the Rock Yard; the outdoor shows are legitimately fun and the only part of this place I'll miss. Here's the real tell, though: Agua Caliente, which isn't even a place I'm crazy about, treats its guests noticeably better than this. And Augustine is on another level entirely -- the service they give locals and regulars is genuinely excellent, the exact opposite of what I got here. When the casino you don't even love is better, and the locals' spot is in a completely different class, that says everything about where Fantasy Springs put a loyal regular on its priority list. The point is a casino looked at a regular who spent real money here consistently and decided a $20 voucher was the hill to die on. They won the twenty. They lost the customer. I'm taking my money to Augustine, where they actually act like they want repeat guests.

I know, I know, there's probably no chance that you're out this way, in the middle of the desert,…read moreon a native land site with nothing around. But if you are, Temalpakh Farm has extremely fresh, home grown produce and some other products produced by fellow Native Americans from the Western US. How did I get here? I went to Desert X 2025 (which I adore) and one of the art installations was on this site. Yes, they make you drive to weird and wonderful places for the biennial art scavenger hunt. The farm site has a new parking lot, an elevated outdoor seating area that is great for hosting company events or parties (as long as it is not in the hot summer months) and even a pond with a water fountain that might double as part of their irrigation system. When I was was there in May, some of the seasonal produce included heirloom tomatoes, squash blossoms, butter lettuce and artichokes. What could possibly be the best thing in the farmer's market is their smoothie stand. This being the palm desert, a majority of their freshly made smoothies have dates in them! Palm Tree Brew (coffee cold brew, unsweetened almond milk, banana, dates, mesquite powder, honey, date syrup, salt) - Okay, a coffee date shake is not for everyone, but if that's your thing, they make a great one. It's a perfect balance of everything, you can taste the coffee, the dates, the banana, the honey. All the ingredients were fresh, served smooth blended, nice and cold. A safer bet for most would be to stick with one of the other fruity date shakes here. Palm Tree is general date shake, Berri Crunch has mixed berries and dates, the Hulk has dates, spinach, kale, carrots, avocado, apple juice and pineapple juice, Green Feather has dates, banana, apple, avocado, kale, spinach and Farm's Dragon has dragon fruit, dates, pineapple, banana, chia/flaxseed and shredded coconut. This farm is under the same ownership group as the local Native American casino nearby. If you happen to be near the area, check out this farmer's market!

I bought the most fragrant kale, plump green onions, russet potatoes, berry with ginger jam and a spicy hot sauce. The farm brings in products from other local businesses. The farm is easy to reach from Indio or Palm Desert. Having organic treasures like this is such a treat. Do check it out.

I've been to Coachella 3 times before and this year I went both weekends. I was here in the early 2000's before it became what it is now and I can tell you it's massive now. Before this year, the last time I was here was in 2013 and the stages were nowhere near as big and high tech as they are now. Favorite set this year was Nine Inch Noize at Sahara, Ceremony inside the Sonora tent, Suicidal Tendencies, etc. It's the best music festival in the world and worth the hefty price tag. Concert tickets are just about $100 plus dollars, so you're able to see so many artists for less than a standard L.A. venue ticket. HIghly recommend doing it once in your lifetime, but it is exhausting. Don't go back to work for a week after you attend all three days and book a spa day or a massage, the Monday after.

Try to get these tickets during presale to avoid purchasing resale price which is totally not worth. Also make sure to book hotels/airbnb asap because pricing may increase depending on the lineup and demand! Early the cheaper, I guess. This year was amazing because they were lots of good artists like Bigbang, Subtronics, Isaiah Rashad, JB, Swae Lee, Central Cee, Foster the People and etc. I heard camping was a cool experience but I hate waiting in line for showers and I also heard that some camps got blown away by the dust storm. Mask up! My favorite stage is probably the Dolab stage because it's such a vibe and good for aesthetic pictures. The Sahara is also nice because of the lights and lasers. Food there is all overpriced. I paid like $60 for like two pizzas and a drink. Hungry though so you gotta do what you gotta do, lol. This year Coachella did a collab with Gap and they had an area where you are able to make your own custom hoodie with unique patches! I missed out on it because the line was outrageous!
