I've been trying different barre studios and just hadn't found the one that worked my butt and legs the way my original studio had. Cassie's class finally did that. She incorporates cardio WITH the barre moves. Some studios will throw in some cardio but it's typically separate from the barre moves...the difference it makes when the cardio comes from the combination of repetitions and quick transitions is huge. My butt is so sore this morning...that's the best feeling!! She makes the class fun and the music is good, other people taking the class were super friendly. The classes are 45 minutes long and she does not waste a single minute. I love the 45 minute, go hard format. She incorporated most of the most effective moves you can do in barre. I'm in the middle of a move and only up this way a couple of day's per week right now but I'll be taking classes here every time I can. I highly recommend this studio!

We loved the nature hike we had "Jelly" (a couple of our groups got rained out-obviously to no fault of the camp), we enjoyed archery, paint ball sling shots with "Stitch", painting wood necklaces, drama circle, and an amphitheater with breathtaking views of the the sunset. We loved our hike to the lake for canoeing. I too thought the pool was chilly but it was clean! Their swim rules seemed to be really intense to me. "No jumping off the edge of the pool" hmmm ok. In my opinion overly cautious. However, the Rock wall was a blast, equipment was in good condition. Hatchet throwing was hard, but fun. I wish the hatchets were sharp enough to grab the wood. It was rare anyone stuck one into the log rounds. Some combination of wood being too hard or axes not balanced correctly made that activity a struggle. We enjoyed trying. The team building activities were thoughtful and stretched our girls as individuals and forced team unity. Maybe my favorite part of all of camp. They lost a star for food quality and portions but the staff was always in good spirit. I also wish our group had the entire cafeteria to ourselves as we often were low on space at tables and often went outside as our designated seating was full. But the food was served on time and they got a lot of people food in timely fashion. They were organized. Our cabins were dry when it rained and i felt safe from the elements and wildlife that can live nearby. Some mattresses were thicker than others. I was comfortable enough for a week of camping. The plumbing struggled at times but not sure that was the camps fault or the 85 GIRLS who MAY have not disposed of things properly. Lol Overall I think with some retraining on camp cooking and a minor tweak here and there this would be a 5 star camp. The location was beautiful. The staff was friendly. The activities were super fun!

I rarely write reviews but I must take the time to express my extreme gratitude to Cedar & Sage Wellness Studio for not only the excellence of their classes, the beauty and ambiance of their wellness sanctuary, but for courageously being open for the healing of this community at this time. I moved to the Yucca Valley four years ago for refuge and healing. I was a first responder with FEMA at The World Trade Center in 2001and the toxic exposure and trauma caused a complete breakdown of my health. I had no choice but to move to the desert for my healing on every level. After three years of recuperating here, I was finally settled in and well enough to resume my long lost yoga practice. I rode my bike to an outdoor class in here in a Yucca Valley park and by Divine Appointment met the wonderful teacher/business owner Sabrina. My healing and gratitude multiplied when as the cold weather kicked in she and her business partner Tobi ( a Divine Yogi and Sound Healer) made the brave decision to open their beautiful studio sanctuary at 25% capacity to allow for social distancing. I am delighted to know that the Town of Yucca Valley gave them a grant to stay open. I am so proud to be a property owner and a tax payer in a town which follows the needs of the People and not the draconian mandates of the State. Instead of yet another vital small business dying on the vine and with it communities and yes people...people in this community have been dying. I know 4 people personally who have died during this pandemic....two suicides and two overdoses, and that's just here in our small town. As a person who suffers from physical disability and complex PTSD, I cannot tell you how much it has meant to me to have a place to go to heal and connect. I am still marveling at the community that has been created here. Cedar & Sage became a deep and unexpected part of my partner and I's trip out to the Joshua Tree area. The welcoming environs are as true as have been posted here, but also a growing family comes along with it. The weekly hikes that Tobi and Sabrina lead, which on a whim we joined in on, are a large part of it. Studio regulars, dabblers and visitors come together for exploration and conversation. The classes were the perfect buttons to the beginning or ends of my days and we participated several times during the stay. I have been practicing yoga for the majority of my life, and this place has an innocence and strength that I find most admirable. The next time I am on the west coast I will go out of my way to pop in again for some heating up. read more

I have lived in the Joshua Tree area since 2005 and have frequented the various yoga options that we've seen come and gone. I always find myself back in Sabrina's class. Classes at Cedar and Sage are consistently balanced and suited for all bodies. This is a great little studio in 29 Palms, very clean, tidy, and welcoming. The hot yoga class was led by Larissa and was really well taught, beautifully cued, and was both encouraging and challenging. It's easy to tell that she's very well trained, and quite personable. The cool eucalyptus towels at the end were a welcome treat. They also offer filtered water, fresh lemon and Himalayan salt to refresh after class. Code 1812.89): Members can cancel if they move more than 25 miles from the facility or become disabled. California Civil Code 1812.85(b)(1) "...To cancel this agreement, mail, email, or deliver a signed and dated notice that states that you, the buyer, are canceling this agreement, or words of similar effect. The notice shall be sent via first-class mail, via email from an email address on file with the health studio, or DELIVERED IN PERSON TO (Name of health studio operator) at (Address and email address of health studio operator)." I have sustained a massive injury. I have constant pain and a spinal fluid leak and can no longer do any kind of physical activity. I have been trying to cancel since the end of March. The gym manager demanded I come in person, or mail a letter along with my medical documents as proof in order to receive a refund or to process my cancellation. I have tried informing them over the phone that what they are doing is illegal. I do not have the ability to come in person or go to the post office. They should have accepted the hand delivered letter my father tried to deliver. They don't care. They refuse to process my cancellation continuously. There are multiple accounts of them doing this to other customers online. This can't continue.
