I've been coming here for about 7 months, loving it so far. Some days, I'm so tired, but all the instructors make it so fun and energizing that it really resets my focus for the day. On the days I can't come in, I notice a difference in my mood. They have different challenges periodically and some really good sales on their merch. Grippy socks are a must along with water. The inside is clean. There are always wipes to wipe down equipment once we are done with the class. The restroom is always clean and stocked with lady products. They have classes pretty much all day so it fits well in to most schedules. read more

Did my first intro class today, it was pretty cool!! Very high energy. I did bail the class early which I feel a little lame about but I started to get that spacey migraine feeling because I was standing directly in front of the fluorescent light. It's my bad I came late or like a minute before class started so I got a bad spot by the bar. The class seems really fun and I do plan to go back for a drop in. I have taken over 15 classes at Pure Barre which have been a sampling of all of the variety of class types and instructors. First, the place is CLEAN which is really nice. The front desk staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with anything that you need help with. Some gyms have someone to check you in, but they don't seem to care or help and this place is far above anywhere else. They have cubby's and lockers for you to use. The instructors are AMAZING, there is nobody that teaches there that I would want to avoid. I have never done anything like the classes that they teach. I am usually the only guy or maybe one other guy is in the class (calling all of you men out, you need to try this place out). The first few classes were intimidating because it is so different and looking at some of the other members they just seemed to get it, but after taking some classes, help from members and instructors by my 4th class I got the hang of things and just love this place. They play music in the class which is nice to distract me and also helps to make the time fly by as you do a lot of movements. What is a class like: There is stretching, "light weights" and cardio. The weights may seem light but wow, after doing an exercise for a lot of reps you really get the workout. They have a wide variety of dumbbell weights and you can use whatever weight amounts you feel comfortable with. They have a wide variety of equipment that you use in different class and all of it is in good condition and clean. The instructors in every class I have taken are helpful and will show you the way to perform the move, explain it and are there to help those of us that are not flexible and coordinated (this is for sure me). I have noticed my flexibility increasing in just the month that I have taken classes and I have felt muscles that I forgot I had after only doing one type of exercise for the last three or so years. The class size is pretty small which is nice, I think at most maybe 15 people are in a class (don't quote me on the exact size but I think I am correct). I think I have had at least 4 other people in all of my classes and only a few times did it seem full, but you always had space to exercise. The class times are great and spread out and I talked to the manager, Anna who really listens to the members about what we want which is a nice change compared to other places. The energy in the class is great, upbeat and motivating. The price, well heck it is not EOS, Planet Fitness or Esporta, you get what you pay for which is well worth it if you go on a regular basis. I purchased an annual membership and did the math regarding how many classes I plan to take a month and it really isn't that much when you think about what you get. You sign up for classes through an App on your phone, website or you can sign up at the front desk. They have a selection of clothes you can buy including sticky socks, shirts and weights but they are NOT pushy about buying anything which is nice. Come on and try this place, I highly recommend it and this is coming from a guy who doesn't like to usually exercise but I am excited to show up to the classes and since every class is unique you for sure don't get bored. Have done barre over the years but love that there is more than a barre class available, there is a align, classic, empower and intensive! And there have times available for 5:30am to evening! Great place if you have the ability to attend their limited classes but beware the cancellation policy. When I signed up they had many more class times but now with the reduced number I haven't been able to attend. I cancelled 7 days too late. But the agreement states you have to give 30 days notice or they'll charge you a full extra month or send you to collections. This notice needs to be before you're due to be billed again. So I will be paying over $300 for classes I can't use. I asked to gift them to another member since I can't use them but that isn't allowed either. I actually planned to come back in a few months as my schedule will be changing but this policy which apparently comes from the corporate office has me changing my mind. Heads up to cancel before the 20th if you're moving or unavailable. read more

I had a good experience until it was time to cancel my membership. I was told to send an email to cancel. I sent multiple emails and they never responded to them. When I called I was told I would get a call back from the manager which never called back. This cycle went on for weeks until finally I just so happened to call at the time a manager was in. She was very rude about canceling even though I mentioned I moved out of the area. This took a lot of time which was completely unnecessary. Please be mindful of this when considering to enroll. read more

Unethical and unfriendly business practice and misleading statements on cancellation! Read all the one star reviews and you will have the conclusion that this business gave customers hard time and charged them beyond cancellation. I signed up for a 3-month trial program, and in the very beginning I stated that I had international travel plans coming up and I could only do 3 months. At the time the male staff told me he could not notate in the system that I only wanted 3 months and he said, just call us before 3 months comes up and we will easily take care of you. I trusted him and did not pay attention to the fine prints on the contract. Yes it was in the contract that I need to give them 30 day written notice on cancellation. Even I explained to the owner what I was told by the staff. She refused and only coldly told me here is the contract and you need to give us 30 days written notice. I was eventually charged four months on a three month trial program, and that upset me. There are some other fine lines in the contract that all customers need to be aware of, such as they penalize you if you don't show up for class even if you have paid for the class. It sounds like if you miss your flight the airlines would give you fine on top of you losing your ticket value. Please please when you sign up make sure you spend a good 15 minutes reading through the contract and spend another 15 minutes asking questions and get everything clarified. Don't trust what they tell you verbally. Read the contract line by line carefully. It is hard to imagine that they treat customers this way even though I liked the class and actually wanted to come back at a later time. They could easily handle this well and keep me as a happy customer and I would be happy to come back in the future. This is a neighborhood small business and they operate it like a big corporate with lawyers drafting fine prints on the contract. What an unwise business practice to lose customers. Watch out and read the contract! read more
