Amazing. The food is so good. I've eaten here twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. I got the tropical chicken plate the first time and it was fantastic. I got the Creole plate (pork) the next time and it was equally amazing. We also got the Pisco sour, which I highly recommend. Both the classic pisco sour and the passion sour were great. The interior is really cool and decorated with Peruvian accents. Love it. I'm surprised it's not more popular. So good. read more

1 star. I ordered pho here while my husband got sushi from another shop inside this shared dining complex. Right after my food was delivered, they did not give me chopsticks or any condiments. I had to walk back into the store myself to get seasonings. It felt ridiculous -- am I supposed to eat with my hands? The pho tasted terrible. It was nothing like authentic Vietnamese pho. I could barely swallow it. I had to use a lot of hot sauce just to make it edible. The male staff member had very poor service. He rushed over eagerly to clear our table before I had finished my meal at all, it felt like trying to hurry us out. Worst of all, I started having stomach pain and diarrhea shortly after the meal. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The service is extremely poor and the food quality is unacceptable. I will never come back and I strongly do not recommend anyone eat here. read more

Second visit -- first time at the new location -- and unfortunately a disappointing one. I was genuinely excited to bring a friend and support a local spot I've enjoyed in the past. The décor and overall aesthetic are lovely, but the food and service didn't come close to matching the first time. The biggest issue was temperature. Majority of food on the plate was not hot and not warm -- not the chicken, not the rice, not the beans. At the previous location, you could see the chickens roasting on the spit, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Here, I'm not sure what's happening behind the scenes, but the food temps indicate it had all been sitting. The only item that was freshly prepared were the plantains. I didn't bring it up to the server because she was checked out the entire time, and honestly, I can't expect her to remedy the kitchen if she can't bring waters. Why is the kitchen sending out food that clearly isn't hot? Is it being held in a steamer? If so the temps are not being checked and that becomes a food safety issue beyond quality‑control issues. Service itself also missed the mark. The pretty glasses are small -- though pretty-- and I had to flag the server down for refills. Same with the sauces that are supposed to come with the meal; they only arrived after I asked. To be clear it was 1:00 on a Monday and there was one other table in the place at arrival, and one table after our arrival. I had been planning another visit to introduce a different friend, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be returning. I hope things improve, because the new space deserves better execution than what's currently coming out of the kitchen. read more

OMG this place - it felt like getting a home cooked meal in a tropical wonderland. I came here with a group of friends after it came highly recommended. This place has such a fun atmosphere, it's bright and cheery and full of greenery and bright colors. Just what was needed in the midst of March snowfall. We came for lunch so I didn't have a chance to try and of the fun sounding alcoholic beverages on their drink menu, but it's on my list to come back here. I ended up getting the arroz con pollo. Perfectly cooked chicken over cilantro rice with a bunch of yummy stuff in it! There were two different sauces on the table, I don't even know what they were, but I used both on my rice (even though it didn't need any help) and they were delicious. If I had a complaint, I wish there was an option (charge me $2 extra?) to have the chicken taken off the bone... probably one of my least favorite things to do but I feel I'm in the minority. It wasn't super busy when we went, but our server was still very attentive and kind. Can't wait to come back. read more

pikkito is such a hidden gem omg. my mom actually found it on yelp and we decided to try it and i'm so glad we did. it was so fun and ethnic inside and had such a cozy vibe. our server was super nice and even gave us free drinks which was so sweet. he didnt know that much english but there were other people who did so it wasn't really an issue at all. my mom got the lomo saltado which is beef with fries and rice. i thought it was okay but the green sauce was the star of the show. it added so much flavor. i got the mostrito and it was actually amazing. it came with a quarter rotisserie chicken that was so tender and had the perfect amount of flavor, plus fried rice, fries, and a small salad. all the flavors worked so well together and it was honestly so good for the price. i couldn't even finish it and had leftovers for the next day. it paired really well with their yellow sauce which tasted like it might be egg yolk based or something but idk it was really good. the service was so nice and it made me sad that it wasn't more crowded because they deserve more love. i would definitely come back for that mostrito again. read more

Run, don't walk! What an unreal dining experience. The most surprising part was that it's tucked away in a small strip mall. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting and the service was spot-on. Very attentive and kind staff. The food is next level. Every dish that came out was hearty and packed with flavor. You can tell there's real passion and authenticity behind the menu. The portions were generous but balanced, and the signature sauces were out of this world. It was just effortlessly good. For appetizers we tried the yuca and ceviche, which tasted so fresh with the perfect balance of acidity. Our table tried the lomo soltado, 1/4 chicken and creole bowl. We all nearly licked our plates clean. I've had a lot of Peruvian food in the states and this was by far my favorite. We tried all three desserts as well. Top of the list was the flan, which we dug into before we could snap a photo. It was hands down one of the best I've had. The texture and consistency were spot on. We also had the tres leches (pictured) and alfajores. None of the desserts felt overly sweet, which is perfect for my taste. While I no longer drink, they did appear to have a bar. Love this new space for Pikkito! It's vibrant and fun and the high ceilings make it feel very spacious. And the food - if possible it's even better. I enjoyed chichi morada which they have been out of at the parmenter location the last few times I've gone. So good and such a unique and refreshing accompaniment to your meal. I also had a bowl of pikkito soup and saved some of it for lunch tomorrow. Absolutely fantastic. So fresh tasting and the flavors are just melded perfectly. I do wish they'd do the work of shredding chicken off the bone for you in the soup but at least having to do it myself slows me down and makes me savor it a bit more! Tonight I went out on a limb and branched out to try the creole bowl. While it was good - deliciously tender pork- I missed the tropical and will be back to my favorite next time! Oh those sauces and beans and rice, too....and I cannot get enough of the plantains and both ways it was served tonight- thin and salted like a chip on our arrival, and of course fried as they usually are as a side or in a bowl. Everyone we meet here is very friendly and I've not had a bad experience at either location as far as service. Sometimes the language barrier can slow it down but there are plenty of ways around that! read more

Went here today and had a delicious lunch with my wife. We shared: ceviche, 1/2 chicken with sweet plantains and a tres leche dessert. All the food tasted fresh and very flavorful. The owner came by and gave us each a small cilantro soup as a freebie (which who doesn't like a little freebie?) :) My wife and I liked the atmosphere and found the prices reasonable. If you are looking for a nice casual small restaurant to have a lunch...highly recommend Pikkito. read more

Top notch rotisserie chicken, the best, and the yuca with aji amarillo was perfect, very "sabrosa". Service is very professional, as you will find in Peru (typical charming Peruvian formatily). The decor is worth the trip in itself, photos of indigenous people from the jungle areas of Peru. The waiter was even from that area and it was fun to talk about is original home. My only slight complaint was the temperature of the soup, lukewarm, ... but absolutely delicious, cinlantro with chicken broth. Would return for the chicken but the other dishes are out of our price range sadly. read more
