First visit here since reopening. Thought we were going to see a renovated dining/bar area based on what we had read on number of posts. Really nothing changed. Our serve Aria was excellent. Cheese curds not of good Wis standards seemed like frozen out of a box product at a handmade price. Other food items burgers chicken sandwiches BLT were very good, for prices charged fries or onion rings should have been included as an option not an add on. Very disappointed about speed of service only 4 tables being served in the dining room and three outside...took almost 50 minutes to receive our order. Everything was clean and orderly. read more

Pizza was great, Italian beef ok, fish tacos were not what I thought a taco should be.(fried bland fish, lettuce, the avocado sauce was like avocado and mayonnaise) Service was very friendly. The view and ambience were both amazing. read more

Loved it!! WAY back off of a main (ish) rd. Have food inside and out (Grill)! Outdoor TV and fireplace! Perfect outdoor area on lake. Lots of boat traffic. Solid food and super friendly. Will be back next Summer read more

Pike's Pine Isle has upped their game in the last few years. The fish fry is a excellent.

We'll see how long it lasts. Over the years it's been a revolving door of owners. Currently I think it's the best it's been since the 80's. I highly recommend the pizza. It's not quite in "the best I've ever had" category, but I come from Chicago so I'm a pizza snob. I also like the pizza sticks. These are similar to pizza, but they are cut into thin like strips or sticks. Maybe due to the fact that it's finger food they don't have sauce on them and you're supposed to dip them in marinara. It's similar to pizza yet a little different. I also highly recommend the chicken Caesar salad and the nachos are good as well. The red and green salsa are good; however, I recommend the green. A nice beach, volleyball court, and boat docking facilities are available. read more

Service and portions were good. Other than that the 2 piece walleye was terrible. Fish was old, had a strong fishy flavor. Potato pancakes were burnt black. Coleslaw was warm? One tarter sauce. Never again for this place. $21.00 for poorly prepared food. read more

Good pizza, good bar setup. Your typical WI local bar hidden in the north woods. I had the walleye Friday fish fry and it was great! Pizza was surprisingly good and chicken tenders also went without complaint. Getting there is a little tricky but all the same solid joint. read more

We have a cabin on medicine lake. We will not miss a chance to go to pikes. Great people, great food, and good music. People complain about this place is just petty (mostly out of state people, cough Illinois fibs). I actually heard a women on Friday request the music be turned down. Uh how about no. Service was one point for being as busy as it was. It's hard to find people to work up in the north. it's seems like Pike's pine takes care of the people that work for them. It shows how they treat the customers. If your a petty or snobbish, you might get that in return. If you want a fun night and good food this is the place. Really nice place on Medicine Lake up here in the north woods. Dropped in for a drink and a snack and we were greeted warmly by Kat, our enthusiastic server. Order the Old Fashioned! Delicious! Today we went for a drive and stopped here primarily because it is dog friendly! We sat out side drank beer kids had root beer and had cheese curds pizza a burger and mini corn n dogs for the kids. Had a group of friends up from IL snowmobiling for 3 days. Had a great experience here two nights in a row. Food was fantastic. Service was even better. Would highly recommend Pikes to anyone looking for anything from a few drinks and a beef sandwich to an excellent walleye dinner. read more

The beer was flat. No bottles here so if you don't like beer in a can don't come. The tap beer was flat. One person taking orders for the out side. Had an employee yell at me because I sat at the bar when I walked in. Bunch of jackasses running this place on July 5. And the owner is there. Not very impressed. read more

I would give the atmosphere 4 stars but giving this a 2 Star due to their food quality. I knew going in that food was not going to be the best. They have changed owners over the years and I was skeptical about having a good meal. My Caesar salad was made with old iceberg lettuce and their fried foods were slightly over fried. Another table had ordered pizza and it looked like way too much bread compared to cheese, sauce, and other toppings. I didn't complain because the server was so attentive and kind but I was surprised that he didn't apologize for my greens when he saw my barely eaten plate. It's a great place to dock your boat and sit outside. They have a sand beach volleyball court and the scenery is outstanding. If you go, order their fried plates or just go for some drinks. They also have arcade games, hockey table, and a dart game as well. Enjoy the scenery on beautiful grounds but don't expect healthy meal options. Very kid friendly and water front outdoor seating is available too. read more

We stopped in and ate during COVID-19. Restaurant responsibly respecting rules inside and at bar; they also have a decent amount of outdoor seating. We had Friday fish fry and a caprese salad in our group of four. Salad and cheese curds were great. Fried walleye was also 5*. The broiled walleye a bit dry (4*) but still really good, and the shrimp great (5*). Overall best fish fry in the area. As for Covid-19, outdoor seating available, docks available, and safe practices if you are comfortable eating inside. read more

Food was ok, but the guy who took our order and rang us up was a condescending jerk. He messed up our order which was not a huge deal, but when we asked to order the items that were missed, he acted like he was doing us a big favor. Then he told us they were out of things that other servers told us wasn't true. Others peopke were having issues with orders, too. It was not crowded. It was one guy treating people badly. What a great place to stop by with the boat or an easy drive from Three Lakes. We have been coming to the area for 45 years and just stumbled upon it. What took so long? Great atmosphere and a big shout out to Kat, who we thought owned the place because of her fantastic welcome and genuine love of the place. We went here on Saturday night after a long day of sledding. The atmosphere was warm, the jukebox had some great toons both old and new. Staff was amazingly friendly and seemed to handle the crowd with ease considering how crowded it was. The meat pizza is the bomb, the crust is perfect and toppings delicious. I was at Pikes in June, it was very very hot outside that day, but not as hot as it was inside. Someone at the bar asked about the air conditioning and was told it would be turned on as they get a little closer to dinner time! Guess the lunch crowd can sweat their way through the heat! Drank my beer and took off. I get it that the season is short and you try to make as much as you can, but dont do things that irritate your customers. read more

I brought my family and grandchildren to pine isle last weekend and encountered nothing less than a nightmare! We waited for nearly an hour for food! The server was rude and we realized it was because the owner who made it known he "owned" this disaster of a business, was screaming at everyone on his staff?! The food was not only late but it was unacceptable. This is such a disappointment as this establishment could monopolize the three lakes chain, yet it embarrasses our beautiful city. I've been coming to this location for many years and the current owners have done by far the best job with the spot so far. Staff has been so friendly and welcoming and food has been so much better. I love that they have food options outside in the summer so you don't have to wait (brats, burgers, pulled pork etc). They also have a great beer selection. read more

Worst burger I've ever had service was ok at best. We came here last year on the boat for the outdoor bbq that was ok but tonight we came on the sleds and all four of us hated our meal. On a better note the atmosphere was fun. So I guess next time I'll come for the drinks not the food! read more
