The burger and fries were great, and best of all a great deal. It seems they have different deals on other days of the week too. We also ordered drinks. They have a few Caribbean classics like rum punch and pina coladas. I got the rum punch which was super strong and delicious. I will definitely return in the near future to try their classic jerk chicken dish :)

Getting to the café wasn't the easiest experience because the map directions weren't very helpful, and parking took some effort. Once I got inside, I loved how beautiful the space was. Unfortunately, the drinks didn't live up to the atmosphere. I ordered the coffee flights, and every coffee tasted so plain that even adding sugar didn't help much. It felt like I was drinking nothing! It wasn't labeled either so couldn't tell which from which. I also got a savory pastry, which was dry, but at least that was better than the coffee. The café was practically empty, yet getting help with my order was surprisingly difficult. A young woman eventually assisted me and recommended the Dubai chocolate, but I decided against it because of the price. I actually left still hungry. On the bright side, I discovered a farmers market nearby that I absolutely love and now visit regularly, so the trip wasn't a complete loss! I've also been to Moe Café in Weehawken, which has amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. That location is a completely different experience for me. It was a dumpling skin in the holes of an escargot dish, topped with French onion soup and broiled cheese. This dish was really cool, my only note would be that the dumpling skins were doughy and not cooked or noodle like. Burrata pasta was great, short rib, grilled cheese was good. It was definitely more matcha-heavy than it was milk-focused, but I needed some caffeine to wake me up for an evening event that I was attending, so it all worked out for the best! We sat and enjoyed our drinks in the incredibly relaxing atmosphere. Despite being during the hectic holiday season, we felt no need to rush and could simply sit an enjoy the calm. I started looking at the menu and decided to go with the chicken parm sandwich because it said it was one of the most popular orders. And boy oh boy was I happy about this. The chicken parm sandwich sauce was flavorful and exquisite probably one of the top chicken parm sandwiches I have had in a while. The chicken parm sandwich was huge and had plenty of chicken. It was covered in sauce which I appreciate the generosity of that. I look forward to trying more food from Mordi's. All in all, my first Mordi's sandwich experience was a 10/10.
