Came here on a Friday morning for a nice and relaxing breakfast while responding to some emails…read more Unlike the weekend crowd, it was quite quiet and mostly filled with a few students, families with young kids, and remote workers like me. The inside is nice and bright so it offers a great start to your morning. Also, the wifi is pretty good so no issues from a work perspective. I ordered an avocado toast along with a cold brew. This has somewhat been a routine of mine since moving here and I haven't really been disappointed anywhere I've gone. This was no different. Loved the picked onion addition too. Now - the pricing is not necessarily breakfast pricing. Expect to spend around $20 for both a breakfast item and coffee like I did. But if you have the means to do so, then you might as well.

I took it to the counter and showed it to them. The server asked if it was alive or dead when I found them. I told him it was dead and looked steamed....like it matters... Long story short I asked for refund but they said they have to ask their manager who's not coming back that day since it is holiday and I would need to wait until next day for refund so I end up getting a cheesecake instead. The cheesecake tasted little sour so initially I thought it went bad. Also it tasted like it's been sitting in the fridge for a long time. You know when you taste fridge smell from the food. I lost sanitation of their food and will not recommend it to anyone

This review is based off of delivery…read more My burger and fries were a little warm. The burger was flavorful but wish it was hot to fully enjoy. Not only were the fries warm and soggy but I felt like salt or seasonings were lacking. The portion sizes are good because I am now so full. Might have to go again and eat there while choosing a diff menu item to give a fair chance and rereview.

We started with the cauliflower bites (Asian BBQ style), which unfortunately came drenched in so much sauce they were more soggy than crispy--you can probably tell from the photos. For mains, we ordered three different sandwiches. I had the veggie burger, and honestly, I didn't even finish it despite being hungry--it just didn't hit the mark. My son enjoyed his short rib grilled cheese, so that was a plus. My husband had the chicken sandwich and thought it was dry. And honestly, for a place charging $18-$20 per sandwich, serving it on what felt like basic Costco-style ciabatta bread just doesn't cut it. Service was okay--not bad, not great. I did like the interior--it had a cozy, old-inn kind of feel. Overall, the experience was just... meh. Not terrible, but not compelling enough to bring me back.

It's right…read moredownstairs from me, which is already a win, but honestly I'd go out of my way for it anyway. The food hits every time, the coffee is legit, actually good, and the vibe is exactly what you want in the morning. You've got neighbors catching up, regulars posted up, and a mix of people coming through, from police and transit folks to construction crews, and everyone gets the same warm, friendly treatment. Marina is awesome, and the whole team just gets it. There's a genuine, easygoing energy where you can grab your food and go or hang for a bit and chat. It never feels rushed and never feels forced. It's convenient, it's welcoming, and it's consistently great. Exactly the kind of place every neighborhood wishes it had.

I get the same two sandwiches generally, the LSP and the big Johnson (with turkey sausage instead of bacon). I fell in love with the pastrami in the LSP, it's just a really good rounded sandwich. Perfect egg on top with the yolk running (if you like that), arugula, chipotle mayo, and a good amount of pastrami. It's a well rounded sandwich and I am a huge fan! Love the pretzel bun on the big Johnson, but I think the LSP has way more flavor. Since I like the pastrami so much, last week I ordered the hot pastrami sandwich and it was okay, not bad, but the balanced flavors in the LSP make that sandwich top tier! Wouldn't get the hot pastrami again. I ordered a cold brew with a splash of half/half and vanilla syrup and it was good! I am not usually a fan of cold brew at all, but it was so good I ordered it back to back AND made sure to get ingredients to attempt to make it at home this week (didn't quite work) so I guess I'll be making an order soon. I don't have any pics, this is a place I order from when my hunger has defeated all odds (meaning no time for picture taking lol) and I KNOW they won't disappoint! Quick service too!

We finally had the opportunity to do so on a quiet Easter Sunday. First, the interior looks pretty amazing. A lot of history behind all the architecture and they did a good job preserving it. Because it was raining and chilly, we couldn't see the rooftop, but I can see the appeal. To start, we got an assortment of small muffins for the table. That was a nice touch. They were good too. For brunch, we each ordered omelettes. I got the Jalapeño & Cheddar while my fiancée got the mushroom and spinach omelette. We ended up complementing the items quite well. I did end up enjoying her omelette well. The vegetables were definitely fresh and cooked quite well. My omelette was nice and cheesy, how I like it. The jalapeños didn't have a crazy kick, but enough to satisfy. The potatoes were good too. There's no real coffee menu here (which is a slight miss), but I did enjoy the freshly squeezed orange juice as a nice change. I will be back.

We both ordered brunch, I had the Caesar salad club sandwich with skinny French fries, which happen to be my favorite kind of fries, and they did not disappoint. My date ordered the brunch burrito with home fries, and he really enjoyed it. We started with espresso martinis, which were a fun and tasty way to kick off the day. I later ordered a cider that was delicious and pleasantly unexpected, it wasn't sweet like a typical cider but more dry and wine-like, which I loved. He followed up with a couple of beers after the martinis. The staff was friendly, conversational, and very helpful when it came to deciding what drinks to order. Overall, Skinner's Loft is a great spot to grab a quick drink or enjoy brunch with a partner or friend. I'd definitely recommend this bar/restaurant to anyone in the Grove Street, Jersey City area. 10/10 recommendation.
