And we do have a go-to dog park for occasions like this, but given an all-day free Saturday, I thought about checking out a new place. And that's how we found this spot. It is what most Yelpers say what it is: small. Prime (my fur baby) is more used to one of those large dirt and grass kinda areas. He enjoyed it anyway since he met new fur-friends and got to play with them for a bit. It worked out even better since my cousin met us there to bring his fur baby to a dog park for the very first time. This was a good first run for him - I figure it a good idea start him out in a small area to see how how reacts with other dogs and mostly so he doesn't get too overwhelmed. From the looks of it, it's safe to say that enjoyed his very first dog park run. Doggy bags and water fountains are provided for both pups and hoomans alike. There are also benches available. Parking is available, both private and street. It is very well maintained, but as small as it is, it shouldn't be that much of an issue. Alas, as nice and clean as it is, we probably won't be back. It just isn't big enough for my pup to run around. However! If you and your pup are more into just chillin', then this is the place.

The dogs can run around freely and chase each other. There is a water fountain for them to go and get a drink. My dog is going to have a nice long nap now because she is very tired from running around chasing other dogs. There are rolls of plastic bags, so you can and should clean up after your dog. I did.

Our dogs had such a blast here. They have the option of the small and big dog park. We had a frenchie that is super reactive and a blue heeler super social. Since there wasn't any dogs in the small dark park, we decided to go in there. The park was very clean and super spacious. In the small park they have two benches by the entrance and another one in the center. The people and their dogs are so friendly here. I would definitely come back. Long Beach is lovely and so welcome!

It's part of the aquarium of the pacific just along the harbor. There's a parking lot that's part of it but the payment situations was a bit of a mess. Paying with credit card on the machine was a hit or miss. Which i also found out from someone else there. It's probably easy just to do it from your phone. It's a decent size parking lot but there's also parking at the structure just next to the aquarium. It's a cute rolling hill park that looks out to both the queen mary, shoreline village and the harbor. Depending on what side you are. It's a cute little walk around with the lighthouse on top. There's benches scattered throughout the park for seating. There's even a little beach like path along the harbor. Regardless which side you are, the view is quite beautiful. There's also fishing that you could do on the pier. You'll see people about and about walking, picnicking, walking with their dogs or a stroll. Long Beach has its hidden gems and this place was one of them.

I wanted to check out Broken Spirits which is right next to the 2 hour free parking garage. Parking is by Long Beach Blvd with entrances on 3rd and 4th street. The promenade itself is a 4 block pedestrian walkway full of gorgeous murals, pleasant landscaping, and an odd QR code enabled toilet. It's interesting and fun to walk. You can get some great views of historic architecture such as the Middough Building. Sad part is on a Saturday it felt like I was in an apocalypse movie. Nobody anywhere. Was a total ghost town. Restaurant we ate at was great but totally empty. Was odd. I assume night time might be busier? I will definitely be back for Broken Spirits and curious to see what else is around.
