My friend & I signed up for the Intro to Yeast Baking class and I learned so much. The Kentucky Millstone is located in Butler, Kentucky. Chef Lori taught our class and was she a breath of fresh air. Excellent teacher and so nice. They have a multitude of classes to choose from as well as artisanal baked goods with ingredients from local farms. We got to taste the goodies we made and take home not only so many delicious baked masterpieces; but, an entire batch of dough to make even more delectables at home. My wife said "just the regular crust like the old fashioned LaRosa's pizza." The server said "oh, hand tossed." I nodded and said I guess so. She brought us a pizza with an almost deep dish depth crust. My wife was visibly disappointed and server said "what's wrong?" My wife said "that's a thick crust. I wanted a regular pizza crust." Our server said "oh you probably wanted THIN CRUST" and that was it. She left. The manager walked by and I asked politely "excuse me, is this really a hand tossed crust?" I got a look like maybe he knew why I was asking. He said "yeah, that's what that is." So I said, "we are waiting on some rondos because our first order got....dropped?" He casually said "they're working on it" and left. We grew up going to LaRosa's in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and it was always great, and the Dry Ridge location used to be good, too.
