So I've waited to long to post this but I wanted to make sure people know to always get a second opinion when dealing with this business. I took my ford f350 in because of an oil leak and they told me the rear main seal was bad and they would have to pull the motor out to fix it. They also quoted me a whole lot of other things that it "needed". The cost was going to be over $7000+. I decided to get a second opinion from a smaller local shop there in Prosser and he found the leak to be much more minor and he fixed it and a bunch of other stuff for less than 1/3 of the price. Tom Denchel Ford in Hermiston, Or has the worst costumer service. I bought a used vehicle from them and asked in the transaction for new tires due to it had bald tires, Juan, one of the managers asked me how they could get this deal done I said put new tires he said pay an extra $300 and it would be a done deal I agreed. As I came the next day to sign papers this ordeal was another horrible ordeal Josh asked me on the phone prior for all my info so as to expedite the process which did not happen took around two and half hours before we even saw or talked to the finance individual, when I got home I called the next day and asked why they put smaller tires josh told me that les Schwab only had that size and it would take a week before they could get them as you and I know when you need a tire from a tire shop they could have it within 48 hours, I asked josh if he could help me get a spare key for this vehicle at their cost but he never called me back I had to call the next day every time and then the last time I called he had the salesman Eric handle the call which he was very professional but they quoted me approx $260 dollar and the dealership here in Tri City's can do it for approx $280 it takes me the difference in fuel you can get the FOB off of Amazon for around $30 then have the dealership program it for around $100 or so what a rip off these two guys are. Now 08/26/2016 they call me and tell me that they did not charge me taxes and I need to come in with $54.25 so I jump in my truck and head over again I wait approx 25 min before anyone help me and then Eric who is very respectful ask me if I been help I tell him Josh said I need to combine and pay $545.25 so he goes and talked to him a few minutes later the lady that does titles came and approached me and said Josh told me to come and collect the money I asked can I see the paperwork and get a copy now some more time goes by and then Eric who was instructed to come and collect the money I ask if he has copy's of the paper work and if he can show me where which he does and come to find out it's not $545.25 but $515.25 just another mistake. If I was to do this transaction all over again I would not buy from these individuals they are unprofessional and have no customer service I only hope this is not the way Tom Denchel encourages his sale staff to perform and act horrible after sales help I hope this helps anyone who has to deal with these two individuals read more

It was done in a timely matter, they checked with me before doing additional costs, and the frig full of cold water was welcomed on such a hot day. I was in the market for a convertible Mustang and found one available there (through Edmunds.com). Since I live in Seattle (4 hours away) I pretty much had to negotiate everything remotely (text, email and phone). I worked with Jamie and he made the whole experience great. Very responsive and supportive to my questions/concerns, we were able to negotiate price, conditions and financing terms beforehand. Found my car on cars.com and called to check availability and price. Tara Mitchell answered all my questions and began the process to pre-approve my terms from the convenience of my phone. I was a bit indecisive between my various options, buying a car is a big expense and the stress of doing so from a distance (I was located in Seattle) had me a little anxious. Tara was incredibly patient and supportive throughout the experience. Her responses were informative and timely, and she put me at ease. Her colleague, Luis, was also incredible to work with. Luis drove the car to meet me half way, which saved me hours of travel. We test drove the car and Luis walked me through my paperwork at the perfect pace. I was thrilled when I saw the car, it was exactly what I wanted. I had no idea the entire process could be that fast and convenient. No communication, manager told me because the sales man or finance "forgot" to call and get my 10 day pay and just went off of what I said my statement balance was I was stuck paying the $475 difference. I took my sons mustang to get the repairs on the Engine and repair the breaks of the Mustang. My husband, asked them if they would check the car as it had been sitting for a year In the garage. He wanted to know if it was worth fixing before paying for repairs. And how could they not know or see that the bottom of he car and 50% of the back of the car was effected by salt and ash which wasn't worth fixing. It was near 3,000 and they failed to let us know of a major flaw that was very dangerous. it was driven back to Seattle, luckily no one got hurt. All it would of taken was for a car to hit us in the back fortunately, we made it safe. I do not recommend anyone to visit ford in hermiston not honest people. i feel ashamed at my husband from not hiring an attorney so this situation does not happen to take the risk of anyones life just for the money. shame on you tom denchel ford!!!! my rating is zero stars..oops guess i have to submit at least one star to be submitted ... read more

We saw a truck on their website (actually it was cars.com initially). Called to see if they still had truck as we are about an hour and 15 minute drive away. They said yes we have the truck. Turned out it was the wrong truck, which was understandable as we didn't give the vin number when we called. We looked at the wrong truck because it was "similar" except it had about 60,000 more miles. So we asked do you have the truck we drove out here to see? They said we have the keys but we can't find that truck. What? Is truck off partying with friends? Seems like misplacing $10,000 worth of inventory would be cause for alarm. The other wrong truck we were informed had 1 owner (I checked Auto Check and it had 5+). That wrong truck also had magical price changing capabilities. It was $13,999 but we could "maybe" get it for $8500! I can't imagine how long we would have negotiated before we paid $13,500. Then I got an email this morning- they had found the truck! So I clarified with a few questions about condition and price. Truck is missing again. Positives- the sales staff is very nice. It wasn't an unpleasant experience, but I couldn't help but feel that sneaky used car sales tactics were being used, such as bait and switch, and misinformation. So know what you are doing before you go. Good advice for any car purchase I guess. read more

Went to get a crack in my windshield fixed, a tire sensor replace and the wipers replace. I guess two or three might be ok, but the crack in the windshield looked like it was not even touched, but they did manage to put a gouge in the windshield rubber. And only took 4 hours to get done. I have to say that this place is the worst place that you could ever go to buy a vehicle. The sales people are very unprofessional and use silly amateur sales tactics. Pushy can't even begin to describe it but I was in between a rock and a hard place so I bought the vehicle. After I purchased my vehicle there was an issue with the airbags. This was less than a week after purchase so they said bring it in they would look at it. My wife and I were in there waiting for six hours without even an acknowledgement that we were there. We had to demand a loaner vehicle several times before they agreed. We got the car back and all was well until today when the service airbag light came on yet again. Called this dealership and was placed on hold to speak to the manager. After 25 minutes of being on hold I finally hung up. There are several dealerships around this area so steer clear of this place. How they have not run out of people to ripoff yet is a mystery to me. Horrible business ran by unprofessional people. Recently I had to drop my truck off for a light repair, which has been rare on any of my Ford vehicles. The service shop was booked several days out for diesel repairs but I dropped my truck off at the close of business on the day of the problem, knowing it may not get repaired until the following week. To my surprise, when picking up a rental replacement the next day on my lunch break, Shawnica already had worked my truck into the repair shop and they had an initial diagnoses and repair in the works. They had it completed at the close of business that day and I was able to pick it up the following morning on my work break, with it washed and ready to go and the repair had been covered under warranty. This was days ahead of schedule. On the rare occasion our vehicles need repair work, they have always worked us in ASAP, made everything right, corrected the problem on the first try and made things as painless as possible. Shawnica has been exceptional to work with and all of the service team have treated us very well and have met all our service needs, often exceeding our expectations. In addition Robert in the parts department, along with all the parts team, have been very helpful when I've asked about parts and have been very fair on pricing for factory Ford Motorcraft parts. They even stayed late on one occasion for me when I needed a replacement Motorcraft battery but couldn't arrive by closing time due to my work schedule, but needed to get my wife on the road for an important trip after her original battery finally quit. I have purchased several new vehicles at Tom Denchel Ford of Hermiston over the years. Having compared prices online and over the phone with Ford dealerships ranging in distance from Salt Lake City to Seattle, along with Ford of TriCities and LaGrande, Hermiston Ford has beat every single one of their competitor's prices. Cyndi and the sales management staff have always been a joy to work with. We appreciate this a great deal, as we like to keep our business local whenever possible and we appreciate how much Tom Denchel Ford of Hermiston contributes back to our local communities, especially our local schools. Overall, my family has done business with Hermiston Ford since the early 1940's, when my grandfather purchased a Ford tractor (back in the day when they still sold tractors on the lot alongside cars). THE Employees of this firm seem arrogant have two complaints against this firm first I went in with specifications for Supper duty I needed after two weeks was not contacted with any information on one. I then was made an offer by Legacy ford of la grande and purchase truck that meet those specs. I them applied for refund with ford country on maintenance agreement that I had on f150 I had purchased new from them two years ago It took from 4/6/2015 to 5/26/2015 for them to get me a check. when I called Friday to check on check Vivian acted Like arrogant. read more

We purchased a used car from them the first week of June, 2015, we had seen the vehicle on the web site and pretty much were able to make the deal over the web site and phone but every thing was contingent on us viewing the vehicle and them viewing our trade in,they offered to drive the vehicle up to us (2.5hrs one way) and that certainly sold us on them. They had all the paperwork with them and pretty much agreed with the deal that we had agreed to on line.they left the car here and drove back the trade in. We would have given them a five star rating but as with any long distance relationship there were a few rough spots, mostly with the mail service. I made an appointment a week in advance to have my Ford differential serviced by "Lou" their expert on differential repair. I came in at 8:00 am and dropped the car off. At 2:45PM I called to get a status and was told the service tech was really busy and had not looked at the car. A few minutes later the service adviser called and said they had driven the car and it had a noise in the differential, (I told them that when I made the appointment). They could not tie up their lift for a day or two that it would take to repair the car. I was told to come back in September when they may not be so busy. (That is not going to happen). I do not understand the reason for making appointments if other customer's cars get put in front of yours. As for tying up the lift, I guess my money for repairs is not as good as someone else's is. I don't understand that kind of thinking as far as customer service OR lack there of goes. I will not being going back for service or for another car from this company. read more
