Came here with a friend to catch up. The staff was very nice and helpful; they checked up on us frequently. It wasn't too busy on a Wednesday evening, and it has a much more intimate vibe to it. The Carciofi Fritti was a delightful, light appetizer to start with and the accompanying tartar sauce helped cut the oiliness and the touch of arugula helped balance the oiliness of the fried artichoke. Ravioli Croccanti had so much cheese, the cheese pull was chefs kiss. It also came with warm bread and the herbal oil mixture was light. Overall, a pretty good, relaxing dinner. read more

We used to love this neighborhood restaurant but a recent visit greatly disappointed us. What we loved-- the bread... warm, crusty and so good -- but wished they served it sooner or with our drinks. Then we waited for our salad... 30 minutes later-- still no salad. Our server was busy and when I finally caught him-- he looked surprised and asked again about our order. He said he placed our order but somehow, the system might have erased it. Omg. Now we wait again and by this time... our wait is closer to an hour. Finally, the salad is served but I honestly feel that the roasted beet came from a can. I order roasted beets all the time in other restaurants... and this one was sliced thin and way too smooth to have even been roasted. Then the hubs ordered the Cinque terre special... and there was a strong not very pleasant odor. The taste was okay but the mussels gave off that not pleasant odor. Shrimp was overcooked. Maybe we should've returned it? I ordered the polpo affogato and loved my dish... until I got to the second piece of octopus. It was the head and not a tentacle. Ugh... gross...to say it was funky and unpleasant is an understatement. I truly loved the dish but that ruined it for me. I mentioned this to our server but was not acknowledged. Overall, this experience was so unpleasant we decided not to go back. Sad. read more

Had a yummy dinner here with my cousin & her husband who frequent the restaurant. Everyone was happy with what they ordered and I couldn't finish my eggplant parmigiana, large portion but too much for me. Staff were helpful and had a sense of humor. Cozy place, I liked it a lot. read more

It's always a pleasure to find at Piero's corner! Love the bread. Lovely salads and soups too.

Decided to try out Piero's with a few friends of mine, since we always pass by this place on the way home. Well, I can't believe we haven't heard of this place sooner! The Food: The food was incredibly delicious! Piero's definitely shot up to one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the area so far. The quality of the homemade pasta, the freshness of the seafood and how the overall dishes were so well built. All the dishes we had were perfect. I went with the "Bucatini Carbonara", and man was it incredibly. From the creamy sauce, to the pasta itself. It was to die for. All dishes well portioned out as well! Notable mentions are the fried calamari, absolutely amazing. From the light batter that is fried perfectly. It was one of the best apps there. The Service: Service was absolutely great! The staff were so welcoming and patient with our big group. Everyone was so friendly and it really felt like a nice family restaurant. Water refills and occasional check ups were consistent as well. Amazing service. The Atmosphere: Italian aesthetic that is tastefully decorated. very spacious restaurant with plenty of seating. Definitely gives off that homey and family feel. Overall, a 5/5! My friends and I had such a great experience here! From the amazing food to such a warm/welcoming group of staff members. I'll be back again for sure! read more

I finally made it to Piero's Corner after hearing about it from a friend in the area, and wow--I can see why locals rave about it! From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place has been a neighborhood staple for a reason. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, with a mix of families, couples, and longtime regulars that makes it feel like you're stepping into a home away from home. We started with the grilled octopus salad, which was perfectly charred and tender, with just the right amount of seasoning. Then I had the vongole pasta, and I could almost taste Italy in every bite--the clams were fresh and briny, the pasta was rich with flavor, and while I personally like mine a touch more al dente, it didn't take away from how delicious it was. My partner ordered the lemon chicken over pasta, and it was surprisingly light but bursting with flavor. Every dish is clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive--our server made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Bonus points for the lemoncello cake for dessert--it was a bright, refreshing finish to the meal, beautifully presented. Parking was easy, and the new bar area is a nice touch. If you're local--or even if you're just visiting the Franklin Farm area--this is a must-visit. Plus, if you're short on time or want to enjoy this Italian goodness at your hotel or Airbnb, Piero's Corner is also available through Pressure Deliveries, which made our post-sightseeing dinner effortless. I'll definitely be coming back, and this will be my go-to for date nights, family dinners, and whenever I need a taste of authentic Italian comfort. Buon Appetito! read more

Excellent food - lobster ravioli is a favorite there! Dominic, our server, was attentive, knowledgeable and personable!

We love going here for Easter brunch because they have such a wide selection for everyone. Few recommendations we have noticed over the years. When we get meat at the carving station it's usually luke warm and the pizza is not under a heat lamp. If you want hot pizza you have to time it just right when they put out a fresh one. The omelette station, seafood selection, bread pudding, and large dessert selections are great. read more

Hidden in an ordinary strip mall is this charming, family run gem.Huge portions, hot fresh bread, homemade pasta, delicious meatballs and rockfish. Our server Evie was helpful with suggestions and questions. We lingered over wine but never felt rushed. For a casual meal out of spaghetti and meatballs to a memorable family gathering over seafood- This is a reliably good choice. read more

Great portions for delicious food at an affordable price !! We got various dishes ranging from pasta, pizza, risotto, etc. Everything was delicious and it was a great portion to share among people. We got all the dishes below for 7 people and left full plus some leftovers for tomorrow. Service was good. Food came out fast and we were checked up on pretty often. Note: I guess it was relatively busy but it did take us awhile to get menus but regardless, overall service was good! Overall, would recommend to come. Also, bring an appetite as you will have lots of foods to eat! read more

We stopped here on a whim last month and went back again today for lunch. Neighborhood Italian sounds right, but definitely upscale. The service is very friendly and the food is discriminately outstanding! We've had calamari, Caprese salad, veal, pasta and seafood. I'd cheerfully order every dish again. We especially enjoyed the complimentary bread olive oil with herbs which immediately appeared on our table. We'll make Piero's a regular. read more

Just Wow!!! My family loves Italian but are the most opinionated and picky eaters around. Piero's was amazing! We all got different dishes and everyone LOVED them!! The service was outstanding. Our waitress Evie was so knowledgeable and went the extra mile to explain the dishes and allow me to sample different wines before making my final decision. The General Manager Alex went out of his way to check on us and give us the history of Piero's Corner and the owner Gian Piero's start back in Italy. Piero's Corner is the spot for Authentic Italian Cuisine! So glad we found this place!! read more

Piero's Corner catered our Christmas Eve family gathering. Their portions are generous and fresh. My family loved all the food, but their favorite was the lasagna. My son asked me to double the lasagna portion next time :) . It was a big hit for all the generations! Thank you so much! We frequently dine in Piero's, they create such a friendly atmosphere. We appreciate the table/chairs because my husband is disabled. It is easier for him to move in/out. Love the option to have spaghetti squash rather than traditional pasta. Also the grilled veggies are a welcome addition. read more

I wanted to thank Gian and Alex for reaching out to take responsibility and apologize for our buffet experience. Piero's many positive reviews and the obvious popularity prompted us to try out a different neighborhood Italian restaurant than the one in Herndon we have patronized for 25+ years. Our experience showed that old favorites are usually in that category for a reason. We were very disappointed in Piero's. The staff were very friendly and ambiance very positive, but the food was such that we could not understand this restaurant's popularity. Our favorite appetizer PEI Mussels Marinara was disappointing, with very small and stringy mussels in a sauce that had hardly any taste. The ONLINE menu also featured Calamari a la Greque but that was not on the ONSITE menu at all; they did offer to prepare that for us for $22, but not the $13 website advertised price. We chose two signature main plats, Salmon a la Livornese and Cinque Terre Seafood, which had a really small serving of pasta though the salmon had none (we had to get a separate pasta side). Worse yet, there was almost no taste of the garlic, oregano, basil, peppers or other Italian mainstay spices needed for a flavorful marinara. My Italian ancestors would not have approved. read more

My girlfriend was feeling like having pasta so we decided on Piero's. We had never been here so it was nice to find somewhere new. We started with the free bread which doesn't come with butter but rather a pesto & oil mixture. She didn't care for it but I liked it. We then shared a Greek salad as an appetizer but my one complaint is that it was far too drenched in dressing. It left an almost overly salty taste with each bite. For main courses I ordered the carbonara and added chicken and my girlfriend ordered the pasta along with forno which is essentially a baked ziti. We both agreed that the carbonara was the better of the two. The pasta tasted better and had a different consistency. Highly recommend the carbonara. The Al forno was very good as well, it just was in an unfair fight from the beginning. We finished with a tiramisu. It was a very large slice for the price. It was fluffy and light but still quite delicious. The service was good. Our waitress was busy but still made sure to stop by for refills and to check on us. For a Friday night, a reservation is recommended. It was quite busy when we got there at 8:20 so thankfully we had an 8:30 reservation. The ambiance definitely feels cozy. There's a local feel to it that's hard to describe but it's nice. The bar top overlooks the pizza oven as well as a chalk board with drink specials on it. There's also a private dining area you can reserve for special events! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I would happily go back. They also have lunch deals M-F so if you don't want a large serving, that could be the move for you. read more

The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. The pasta dish with sun-dried tomato and Basil pest was great!

First I want to say I am truly surprised at the recent below par reviews of Piero's Corner. I have been dining in and ordering takeout for years and trust me, it takes a lot for me to leave a 5 star review. I would also kindly advise others to be a bit more understanding during the holidays. Many businesses are understaffed during this time and it's very common. It also shows that the owner is compassionate and allows his employees time off to see family etc even at a cost to the restaurant. Anyway, I'm my opinion, this is the best Italian restaurant in the area. Anytime I have dined in they have had amazing customer service. The owner will also stop by the table to check in which is appreciated. I have never had a bad or bland tasting dish from this restaurant. The sauce they use for their spaghetti is literally the best tasting sauce I've ever had. It's so good that I'm actually going to be checking if they sell jars of it. Last night I called to place a pickup order. I think I spoke with the owner because he was so enthusiastic and so helpful. We ordered the meatball appetizer, sunday sausage appetizer, carbonara( owner suggested to add blackened chicken to it and we loved it), as well as Campanelle alla russa which I asked to have with angel hair pasta. Everything turned out fantastic and we will continue to come back to Piero's :) read more

While visiting the DC area went to this restaurant based on the reviews. It is definitely a local hang out, however it was quite pricy for being in a strip mall. We had the seafood pasta (one was on the menu and the other was a special). The only difference between the two was the special was suppose to be with swordfish. They ran out of the fish and substituted with a different type. Our dishes were exactly the same, overcooked calamari, ONE scallop and mussels. Yet the special was almost $20 more! In addition we ordered red wine which came to our table cold. We were told by the waitress that they chill all their wines. The atmosphere was loud and initially dark. Was not worth the money spent. read more

Off of an enthusiastic suggestion we tried pizza here. We all thought that the pizza was good. The dough was good, maybe a little soft, and the toppings were well considered. If you are iffy on blue cheese avoid the Dolce. Mine showed up with prosciutto which isn't on the menu. Its quality was good enough that it made me interested in a bunch of other things on the menu. Service was good. You many need to ask about the pizza menu, but the server was good about explaining it. Something really nice we noticed was that one of the staff, maybe an owner, seems to know more than half the people who came in while we were sat. The complimentary bread was okay, but their dipping oil was REALLY good. read more

Parking: absolutely not a problem! It is located in Franklin farms shopping center (with Giant), so there is a ton of free parking. Seating: they have a lot of seats inside. They can also seat large parties. They also take reservations for big parties or any size parties. I went one hot summer day, and their air condition was very weak, so my table was sweating while we were eating. We had to asked for cups of ice just to drink ice water. Food: the food was not the best. It was very bland and everyone at my table had to add more salt or pepper. I think the food could have been better for how much the prices were. Bathroom: the restrooms are clean! Price: it is quite pricey. I personally did not think the food was worth the price. It was way more expensive than the actual quality of the food. Service: our server was very helpful and patient. At the end of our meal, the manager came to our table and checked in to make sure everything was good too! Their service is very good! read more

Went to dinner here with my parents and our kids before Christmas. We had a nice table, our server was very attentive and the food was great. The manager/owner was on the floor talking with customers and it was really nice to see that kind of interaction. We used to go to Esposito's in Fairfax for special occasions, since was a kid, and my dad really misses their food. But he loved Piero's and the food, so it's safe to say we have a new favorite. read more

Lovely little place, and worth the drive from across town to eat here, without question. The staff are unfailingly sweet and very attentive to just how much you are enjoying your meal, too. They have a sixth sense for knowing if something is slightly off, and will sweep in and fix anything they can. Not that there is often a great deal to fix. The food is pretty immaculate, and I'm extremely fond. As someone who really goes to the same place twice because I feel compelled to try all the variety, this one is definitely a repeat, more than once. I particularly enjoyed the pasta al funghi I had, and was quite pleased with the wine pairing they suggested. read more

I have been to Piero's corner many times and decided it was worth a yelp review . The ambiance is inviting and comfortable. The bar is busy. I recommend you treat yourself to a deliciously pleasant evening :) read more

Our waiter was a little quirky, but we didn't mind that. Taking 10 minutes to coke back with bread and water for a two seater when they aren't busy was less than impressive. The ravioli was decent, the pollo marsala was not. The chicken was tough and rubbery and the sauce was watery. The waiter never came to check on how the food turned out. It is a nice dining room though, good ambiance. read more
