I have to give it up for Ben Bridge and specifically the Silverdale location in the Kitsap Mall…read more They handled me and my situation so well. I walked in high sprung out on stress and frustration and at this point was desperate for success in what I was trying to achieve (my deadline is fast approaching). I worked directly with Allison (spelling) who took the time to allow me to partially vent but also to explain my situation and not only did she handle the situation with a lot of patience but she was very compassionate. She took the time to measure out my finger, asked questions that would contribute to meet the resolution and even followed up on me when she realized that she gave me the incorrect eta after overseeing the recent holiday. I received a phone call the day I was told it was expected to be back. When I arrived for pick up the staff was warm and greeted me. My ring came back cleaner and shinier than I was expecting &...my issue was resolved in the first crack. To my surprise, the staff that was present was aware of my situation even though Allison was not working at that moment and that honestly made me feel as though the staff here takes the time to understand and get to know their customers. I was even offered some jewelry cleaner and they really didn't have to do that. I hope they remain here in Silverdale as I would like to continue to come here.

She was very apologetic and stated that there should have been better comincation between the store to my Husband on the return policy and charges that were made and not written on the receipt and agreed upon. She also said she would look further into the remark that was made to us by Alison. She was sorry for how we were made to feel. Thank you Kathy for the full refund and explaining that your company stands behind their sales.

We bought a pair of earrings here as a gift that ended up being too heavy, after 1 day we returned to exchange the earrings for something smaller and found that the store was closed at 4pm when the hours on the door say until 5pm. After checking for 2 more days, we finally called to ensure that someone would be there until 5pm so we could make the exchange. We explained the situation and the owner agreed to make a similar pair of earrings that were smaller. We were quoted that the earrings would cost about $75 plus shipping. He said he would have the earrings done by Friday that week. After receiving no phone call we went into the store on the following Tuesday to follow up on the order. The earrings were done and the owner came out and stated that he usually doesn't do returns and threw down cash on the counter. We paid $270 for the first pair, so it was our understanding that we would be getting back about $170 in change. Except he only gave us $110 and said that shipping is what made up the difference. SINCE WHEN DOES IT COST $60 TO SHIP AN ITEM LESS THAN 1oz IN THE US? I asked to see the FedEx receipt and he told me that he burns them! WHAT A LIAR!!! Who knows if the pearls are even real? This man does shady business and cannot be trusted. I will never return!

The associate said they can only go up half sizes and the other size is too big. Against my better judgement I acquiesced, as I didn't want to argue. Lo and behold it's too small, my finger looks like a stuffed sausage, and they did a poor job at the joints. Will be going to try again for a resizing (as we paid for the service package for our ring) so they can fix what they've done. So far I would tell people to steer clear. I've had better experiences at grocery store chain jewelers.

My situation was very personal but it was enough to make me accept a $150 loss & never return. Prior to purchasing my engagement ring enhancer, I communicated with sales as much as possible to make sure it was a good purchase. After being told that Kays would honor my Zales warranty, I came here to get my solitaire enhancer adjusted to better fit my solitaire. They sent the enhancer in without my solitaire after informing me that there's a liability for them to send a ring they won't be working on and I accepted that. The issue presented itself when I showed up to pickup the resized band. My solitaire is supposed to slide between the two bands and sit in the middle but my solitaire is smaller than the enhancer so the prongs of my solitaire was hitting the top of the stones on the enhancer giving me two different loops in the center causing it to not be a good fit. I do not have time to keep sending the ring in as the date I need it for is fast approaching. The associate helping me at this time tells me that they can get it to fit better if we send both in & I told her that I was already told that was against policy. Then she said typically you want them to be sized the same then they would fit better but then she said Kays will not size under a size 4 (understandably) yet the resizing of the enhancement only went from a 5 to a 4.5 when my solitaire is a 3.5. She told me another thing we could do was unsolder the enhancement & solder the three rings altogether...NOT something I'm okay with at this time. I proposed the idea of sending my ring in to be sized up because it's been feeling tighter recently and that way they can have both rings to adjust the fit and this seemed like the best path to take. So she cleans my ring and begins the paperwork process but stops after I gave her the value of my ring because it was a frugal amount and she was confused. I told her it was a moissanite and then she suddenly tells me "We don't do work on moissanite. That's probably why they couldn't send it in." Honestly, the lack of honesty pissed me off. Telling me it's against policy during the drop-off is one thing then you want to tell me you don't do work on moissanite and that's a different reason but maybe both reason are valid but that just makes the situation so frustrating and it's corporates rules. So now we're stuck because the only other option would be for them to unsolder the enhancer & I can decide later to solder them altogether (not what I want). She begins to tell me that I need to take it to a local jeweler which means my warranty is now void because someone else is going to do work on it, but gladly. I will gladly take it to someone who has the ability to accomplish the fitting. I grabbed my things and went elsewhere because I'd pay for convenience over free stress any day. If I didn't have such a short window to get this done I maybe would have allowed them to work on it more but to have to wait 2 weeks at a time every time they send it in will eat away at my sanity and timeframe, especially with all of the other things I have going on I just don't have it in me. Both employees who gave their time to me were very professional and easy to speak with but we didn't get anything accomplished and I don't believe I would have been a lifelong happy customer here.

I should have known it would initiate a comedy of errors that would make me relearn the forgotten decade-old lesson. One item from my online order didn't fit, so I decided to return it at the nearest store, which is in another county. I prepared myself for the trek by making a shopping list of jeans to try on, confirming on their website that all were in stock at the store (jeans are something you really need to try on, buying them blindly is a gamble). All plans were thwarted when I entered the Silverdale store. It would be my last visit to any Kohl's; read on. The return went fine, other than their deducting $8 from the refund of the $35 item. I understood it was because I received Kohl's cash to spend, and that's fine. So let's go shopping! I was unable to locate any of the items on my shopping list. Since I neglected to pack snacks and a compass, I asked for help. The lady from the register made an effort to look around, but said she didn't recognize any of the items, and they never stocked them. Bait & switch, eh? Strike one, Kohl's. Determined to make the journey count, I searched for some jeans to try on. Leafing through a bizarre size distribution of XS to XL with squat in between, I found 3 whole pair that might remotely fit. But rut-roh, the fitting room was closed! After the predictable goose chase, I came in contact with Keeper of the Fitting Room, and kindly asked if I could enter her barricaded domain to try my 3 items. She said no. Really, no? I don't want to make another trip out here. She insisted, no, she was busy. Final word. Too busy with only one other customer in the store? How do they stay in business anyway? Strike two, Kohl's. Not wanting to waste time fighting it, but not wanting to waste time coming back out either, I summoned my inner bluejean rebel and tried on those jeans right there on the ghost down they call a sales floor. Turns out nothing fit right anyway, so I saved myself another two hour round trip. Fed up with the store, I went home to find something random online so I wouldn't lose my $25 Kohl's cash. Logging in, I found a cruel surprise - $12 Kohl's cash had vanished, along with my patience. In a last ditch effort, I found a $12 clearance tank top to spend my remaining consolation prize and be done with it. Then the free shipping coupon errored out, "try again later." Not in the mood to spend $8 shipping on sheer principal of getting my money's worth of random crap I don't need, I tapped out, down my original $25 coupon + $8 shorted on the refund. Yeah, I know, the house always wins. Strike three and Kohl's is out. It's no wonder the store was deserted. Limited selection, employees on permanent coffee break and pitfall policies. Silverdale Kohl's would better serve the community as a big, stupid, empty monument to apathy, which it probably will be before long. Buh-bye.

We entered in from the mall side and did a super quick loop as I kept looking back at her to let her know I noticed what she is doing. I never let his hand go. I somehow got lost as I was trying to get her off my tracks and asked a worker how to get back to the mall side which she was super helpful. Sadly I didn't get anything as I was really looking forward to specifically shopping here. Unsure if she was a floor walker or a kidnapper but I did not feel safe at all. We bounced so quick out of there. Way to scare away a potential customer if you were an obvious floor walker!
