I was so excited after seeing the photos of the absolutely gorgeous tattoos done by this shop, so I emailed (as suggested by their social media and voicemail). I waited a few days and got no reply. I called & left a message... no reply. I emailed again, still to no avail, and I planned to call one last time before finding someone else to do my tattoo. I was so happy that they answered. I scheduled an appointment for a consultation. I was there 15 minutes before my appointment time, stayed until 15 minutes after my appointment time. No one was there. Door was locked. Tried to call and got a voicemail, which was now full. No one ever called me to explain why or reschedule. read more

Two stars because Nik did an amazing job on 3 touch ups , one cover up and two larger pieces . Booked back to back appointments for my daughter and I . We showed up 10 minutes early and waited for over an hour. Nik never showed up. We booked another appointment for another day/time and he showed up. We were his first tattoos and it was at 10:00 am. Nik took a couple shots of something prior to tattooing. I thought nothing of it because during prior conversations, he indicated that he was not a drinker . Daughter wanted a simple , minimalistic and small daisy behind her ear (black -no color ). My tattoo was going to take much longer . What she got was something that resembled a tube rose but actually looked more like male genitalia. He added red ink to said tattoo. My tattoo was to be a silhouette with background coloring. It looked more like a cartoonish character (asked for realistic) and the coloring was heavy in some areas and light in other areas and the coloring was NOT what I asked for . Nik wiped my back with one hand while resting the gun in the other hand on the back of my head. He dropped the gun and while it dropped, it knocked over the tray. He caught it by the cord before it hit the floor and for a moment I thought it was going to hit me. I sent him a DM and told him how unhappy we were. I was more concerned about my daughters tattoo than my own. His comeback was "you signed a waiver". I don't know what he was taking shots of that morning but his work that day was sloppy , careless, lacked simple directive, integrity and he was more than arrogant. He could have cared less about our concerns. Its a shame because I initially thought of him as down to earth, detail oriented and highly skilled. His pics on his page and website reflect amazing artistry , however for my daughter and I, we were more than disappointed and ended up paying twice for our tattoos by having tattoos covered up. In general, I want people to succeed. this applies to Nik as well but with that said , I would have preferred another no-show or cancellation over this experience . read more

"Hey bri is going to take my appointment. This is the 4th time since working with you that an appointment was fucked. I get stuff happens but it's really unprofessional and annoying on my end because I bring people to you expecting to get their work done, not played and pushed to the right when your booking is already spread out. I watch you post work all the time that gets started and finished in a sitting and we can't even get our work finished when we have appointments set. I'd really appreciate if we can get our work done." That was my message to the artist and this was his reply good morning emani! to be honest there is a very confusing point and actually insulting matter to your last message. Not sure if you had a reschedule miscommunication with Brianna, but you were scheduled for next month(Sept). soooo I assume thats the appointment you're referring too. Brianna was rescheduled from last week to today, not you just to clarify. also, I understand your inconvenience, with rescheduling several times and how it can be "fucked" when things aren't in your control, all I can really do is apologize for any unexpected scheduling adjustments. I really try and keep in contact with clients as much as possible and keep them updated so they aren't left in the dark with what happened with their appointments in hopes they are truly understanding of the matter at hand. I appreciate your sense of getting "stuff happens" because yea shit does happen and always working 7 days a week tattooing AND running the business end on end of the studio by myself is all I do, so when the schedule gets thrown off or shit happens for whatever reason personal or business? the days I have to reschedule clients is really not an option for me, and try and comp you guys the best I can. I dont expect you to fully understand cuz this clearly isn't your business. but trust me when I say I try and do everything I can to keep my clients happy. sometimes that still isn't good enough for some, and thats ok. Unfortunately though when there is a client and I that don't really see eye, the best thing is to just part ways of our business together, plus clientele sending me childish condescending, passive aggressive messages on social outlets at 6am the day of the appointment, and still expecting me to tattoo them comfortably after that is just fuckin crazy. instead of just approaching the sitatution like an adult is completely uncalled for, and dont need cliental like that, sorry. So I will be canceling any future appointments with young have the front counter contact you in the next day or two in regards of issuing you a deposit refund for your inconvenience. The shop is clean and neat, very welcoming, I only say that because I've stepped into some places that are less than pleasant. Nic's talent is amazing! It shows that he truly takes pride in his work and his reputation. He is confident in his ability which is a good feeling when you are the customer. Nic took what I wanted and made it better than I imagined it could be. He is also very knowledgeable and informative about care and the healing of the tattoo. I was recommended to this artist from a friend and was impressed by the work on first glance but not on work ethic. Most of these reviews are people who were lucky to get an appointment and had a one session piece done. My experience with Nik was not impressive at all. I had a consultation with follow up appointments for the work over the course of multiple months. But one of those appointments was canceled by an injury to him which is understandable. This starts the battle of trying to reschedule. I start to be left on read on social media. No call backs. And no emails. So I assume to treat my next follow up as the make up session and I will schedule in person. I got a staff infection from the first session of filling in the bottom of my leg which made him have to work on the upper part of my hip. After this I ask to schedule to finish the rest of my thigh and I'm told I will get a call from his assistant/apprentice. no call. No response on social media for weeks. I get ahold of him luckily one night and get an appointment a month out. I show up on the day and time and the shop is closed. No explanation. And yet again left on read on Instagram. Another month has gone by and I have reached out to them on all platforms there info is on and they have completely ghosted this piece on my leg and I'm left with a giant unfinished freestyle piece covering the whole left side on my hip down to my knee. Best tattoo artist in Kitsap County!!!! Don't bother looking anywhere else went to 10 other shops from Silverdale all the way to Port Orchard. Nik is awesome the shop is super clean & the way he has his shop set up looks really cool you can tell he's a big horror movie fan.
