Our 15 year old son wanted to get his ears pierced, and we were all in. We started out at a fancy place at the Domain, where everyone was young and hot with multiple piercings, and they wouldn't do it because he wasn't 18. Which we were absolutely baffled by. BABIES get their ears pierced! He's 15 and BOTH of his parents were with him! Like seriously, WHAT? Anyway, now I was on a mission so we ended up with the tried and true - the Piercing Pagoda kiosk in the mall, which is where I got mine done when I was 8, and all of my friends got theirs done, and basically everyone else, too. Marilyn (I think that was her name?) was absolutely wonderful. Zero pressure (because by this time the kid was nervous as hell), but super knowledgeable and very calming. She gave us all the information, showed him the earring options (all 14 ct gold, all high quality studs), then gave us our space so he could think it over. We took a lap around the mall and came back a few minutes later. Marilyn was genuinely excited for him and without any wait at all, he was in the chair. She and her coworker did his ears at the same time, it was unbelievably fast and easy, and his relief was palpable. These two ladies could not have been sweeter, and they even gave him a lollipop when he was done! I'm quite sure we spent at least $100 less than we would have at the other place, and the experience was at least 100 times better than it would have been there. Highly recommend! Five stars! I got my ears pierced at Piercing Pagoda YEARS ago at Lakeline mall and was very happy with how skilled and friendly they were. After finding the perfect earrings, I left feeling great. Fast forward 25 years and I went back again to have my ears re-pierced. Nothing has changed. The people are just as friendly & good at what they do. It truly is a piercing oasis. Went here to get my helix pierced and it went well. Like others in the reviews, I was hesitant to go to a mall stand to get my ear pierced, but it was quick and the piercing is looking great! Against their advice I changed out the earring, but everything is still healing fine and the pain is not often, and bearable. I think my ear will be sore for a few more months though which sucks, but that's just part of the healing, not about the store. Overall if I needed to get another piercing done I would absolutely go here! The total cost for my one cartilage piercing, the stud that went in it, and the aftercare solution, was around $30, which is a much lower cost than that I saw at competing piercing places in town. read more

We got my babies ears pierced here yesterday (shes 2 months old.) At first I was nervous because ... well... a stand inside a mall says they can pierce my tiny babies ears. But the girls working were great!! Very patient. While one was marking my girl's ears, the other was jingling keys and talking to her to distract her. Minimal crying and a very quick process. My cousin was in town visiting recently and during a night of drinking fairly large quantities of red wine with the family (amidst laughing & narrating March of the Penguins ourselves), she brought up that she has always wanted to get a second hole in her ears. I told her I had secretly always wanted to do the same thing and to get my cartilage piereced (again). I thought maybe it was just the wine talking that night, but I was wrong. The next morning we were googling away trying to find where we could get pierced, and avoid a tattoo parlor. I thought she might have been rebelling against her husband, but who cares. He told her that it was "hippy" to have more than one piercing in your ears. Who cares! Can't help what you like. So we drove out here on a Sunday and arrived about an hour before the mall closed. To our surprise, this place is a "kiosk," in the middle of the mall! However, the young ladies here were very professional and helpful and it put us at ease. We started to get nervous while picking out earrings waiting for our turn. They were piercing the ears of a 7 month old baby in front of who didn't so much as scream or cry where we could even hear it. Turns out, getting your ears pierced really doesn't hurt at all. I couldn't remember since I got my ears first pierced in third grade. The cartilage however, DOES hurt. Their large selection of affordable jewelry and their buy 1 get the 2nd 1/2 off was also a plus. There is no charge for any piercing, you just buy the earrings that you will be pierced with and the anti-septic to clean your ears with is free. I recommend this place for ear piercings. read more

Don't waste your time buying from here. They make mistakes and you'll be the one getting the short end of the stick. I bought a 22 inch chain. I got warranty on it. Came back to get it replaced and they tried giving me a 16 inch at first until I measured it out in front of them. And turns out when I originally bought the chain, they rung it up incorrectly and it was a shorter chain they had the receipt for and warranty. And there was nothing they could do even though it was their fault. Would not recommend. I should have known better to come to a jewelry kiosk. Even when I showed up, they couldn't even help the customer that was there before me cause their system was down. Ridiculous. read more

In my unending quest to recapture my youth I decided to re-pierce my ears ( I'd had a cartilage piercing in college). As I wracked my brain on where to go the name (and image) of the Piercing Pagoda suddenly revealed itself to me. I'm pretty sure this is the same joint that pierced my sisters lobes when she was an infant, and after looking them up online I decided they were the place to mutilate...er I mean adorn my ears. I was a little disappointed that I would have to travel all the way to lakeline considering I'm a southie, but the mileage turned out to be well worth it. The process was super fast, easy, and they have low low prices on some good looking jewelry. I live in south Austin and finally, the one time I'm in the area to replace my belly ring (which lasted me 8 years) there is nobody at the counter to help me. The polite people at the stand next to them said they all left at the same time and have been gone for 45 minutes. So I kept looking and realized their sign reads "return at 430," which means they will be gone 2.5 hours before returning to work. Such a disappointment. How hard is it to stay at your stand and do your job...? This used to be the place when I was little growing up, but I see they've taken a turn for the worse. read more

I wanted to post an objective review because I feel like this place is getting some unfair negative reviews. I brought my nine year old daughter to her ears pierced on a busy Saturday morning. When we walked in there were three people ahead of us so I tried to bring my patience with me and I had my daughter do the same. There were two ladies behind the counter both were working very diligently to Serve the other women in front of us. They told us there would be a little bit of a wait and I told her I was OK with that. The older girl behind the counter was a bit short with her customers almost rude but from the amount of customers who were trying to get her attention all at the same time I can understand where that frustration come. There was an endless number of customers popping up one right after the other. Being that the store is in the middle of the mall it makes it almost impossible to have any downtime between customers. So I sympathize with the ladies. Once the ladies got to us we already had our earrings picked out and the forms filled so it was super quick at this point. Both ladies pierced both my daughters ears at the same time. Wonderful! Customers, If you go on the weekend remember that it will be busy and you need to adjust your patience threshold according to the crowd level. I had the best customer service when I went here tonight! I needed to replace my cartilage stud earring with a hoop earring and Courtney took the time and effort to give me the best possible customer service ever! She not only made sure to recommend all options according to my preferences, but she also spent time in trying to take out my stud earring from my ear (the stud was stuck, my friends and I cannot take it off) and so much time to put the hoop earring in (my cartilage hole had the weirdest angle, instead of just being horizontally straight). She also gave me some more options to make it better for me (offered to pierce my ear correctly for free if I want, as I had the previous one from Piercing Pagoda too). And she did not complain or give me any attitude when I did not like the first earring after she spent so much time putting it in, etc. So kudos for Courtney! Received a silver bracelet for Christmas and on the third time of putting it on the clasp broke. Took it back and I have never had such a horrible customer service as this place. She went from 0 to 100 in rudeness in 10 seconds, which took me there along with her. I was told that since I did not have a receipt with me there wasn't anything she could do. I told her that I would just pay to have it done and she said we don't fix anything. I said so after three times I am out a bracelet? She said NOT MY PROBLEM. I said but you work here she said I don't own the place doesn't matter to me. I then told her she had the worse customer service I had ever encountered. She said I don't care. ABSOLUTELY the worst customer service ever!  Had my daughters ears pierced on August 28, 2016 and today (October 9, 2016) as she was twisting her earrings the diamond falls out.  I thought no problem lets take them back and explain what happened and surely they will exchange them.  Well the absolute opposite happened.  They refused to exchange them, they asked for a receipt which I did not have. I did show them the credit card it was paid on and asked if they could pull up an old receipt from the register or have her manager do so.  She just told me she could not do anything without a receipt.  Asked to speak to a manager and was told I could not speak to one.  Asked if I brought back the credit card statement could they then.  She said they could not and that the warranty states they need a receipt clearly on it, and pointed to it as to call me an idiot! If a receipt was needed they should offer to stapled the receipt to the warranty.  The most frustrating thing is that I am out $50.00 for a pair of earing that lasted less than 2 months and no other solution was even offered.  She even laughed at me as she turned around to write her managers name down for me.  Take it from me - save your money!  Even Walmart earrings would probably last longer!!!!!! read more
