Shrimp basket, spicy soup, garlic beard and shrimp fajitas.

We enjoyed our meal here. Same place as before they just moved location. My family and I have been eating here for years. Much better view of the water. Customer service was excellent. Great experience would definitely recommend.

Put rice, sesame oil, and chogochujang (spicy red pepper paste) added to crab head

I'll start with a caveat: this 3 star review has a slight boost based on two things: 1) Nostalgia, and 2) New experiences for my in-laws. Without that boost, I'd probably give this place 2 stars. As a Korean American, getting crabs on the Redondo Beach Pier was a staple growing up in Socal. I hadn't been in ~15 years, so when my in-laws were in town for Christmas, I wanted to take them to the pier to have a nice day at the beach, and eat some crab. It was exactly as I remembered it -- I'm pretty sure the tables, chairs, menus, and employees haven't changed since. The only thing that did change, was the crowds. The pier was fairly empty, and at lunchtime, we were one of 5 parties seated in the restaurant. We ordered 3 crabs, and 2 fish-n-chips (for the kids). Not to rave about; I'd say it wasn't bad, but wasn't the best crab or fish-n-chips either. One thing that you can't really get at a non-Korean crab house is the crab head rice: my in-laws thought this was unique and fun. With each crab, you'll get a bowl of rice, with a small container of sesame oil + gochujang. Mix that into the crab head (after scraping off the guts to mix into the rice), and enjoy. Probably my favorite part of the experience.

The service was not that great, they also don't take Amex and when I tried to grab my drink, the lady took it back and said it must be scanned first and paid for. There's no utensils or napkins. The food was alright but it tasted about the same as the rest of the pier stands serving the same thing.

Supposedly "grilled" fish tacos.

Seeing the Fish & Chips was a shock as it is nothing like the pics shown in the menu inside the restaurant. The fish seems from frozen and we couldn't do more than one bite each. It all went in the trash. Chips was undercooked, soggy. The Coleslaw salad is a sad joke. Shame on us for being local and falling in a tourist trap

Hot Fish Soup!

I've been here several times. It's a Korean run seafood resteraunt on the Redondo Beach Pier. Dining next to the bay windows shows a great water/beach view. Most popular items are the Hot Fish Soup and fresh crab. Be careful though, if you ask for anything stronger than medium heat on the Hot Fish Soup, be prepared to sweat! Also good is the fried clams and fries. Prices aren't too bad considering it's location. Try the Hite Beer with your meal; it's a light Korean beer.

Fried Oysters, OH YES!

My favorite spot! I keep having a craving for the FRIED OYSTERS! Even though I keep seeing people hammering on their crabs, I still love the FRIED OYSTERS! They can hammer that crab all they want but, I'm here just for the ONCE again... FRIED OYSTERS! Got to ask for that cocktail sauce though ;) hehehe, they won't give to you, u must ask! I'm happy here with my FRIED OYSTERS and COCKTAIL SAUCE! I will be back, back, BACK!!!

We came in on a Friday night and it was surprisingly quiet. The ambiance was fine overall, though the lighting was very harsh and could definitely benefit from dimmers to make the space feel warmer and more inviting. Our server, however, was very helpful and accommodating throughout the meal. Now to the important part, the food. We ordered the snook as always and it did not disappoint. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The sautéed onions served with it are so good they could honestly be eaten on their own. We also ordered the ceviche marinero, another staple for us, and requested the shrimp be pre-cooked, which they accommodated with no issue at all. The micheladas are a must order here. Tangy, perfectly spicy, and the ideal drink to pair with the flavorful chips and salsa, which also bring plenty of heat and flavor. If you care more about incredible seafood than trendy ambiance, Coni's continues to deliver.

I've been dining here for eight years, and it has never disappointed. There are so many reasons I…read morekeep coming back. First, the food. It's consistently delicious every single time. My personal favorites are the lobster mac 'n' cheese, mussels, fish and chips, and the lobster bisque. Everything is flavorful, fresh, and prepared with care. Second, the bar. The drinks are perfectly balanced--strong enough to enjoy, but never overpowering. There's nothing worse than ordering a cocktail that tastes like juice with zero kick. That definitely doesn't happen here. The El Chapo margarita (along with many others I've tried) will have you feeling warm and fuzzy after the first sip! The location is another huge plus. If you enjoy people-watching, this is the spot. You get a perfect view of all the action, which makes the experience even more fun. Most importantly, the staff. Joe, Nicole, and (I believe his name is El D) El Dorado are fantastic. They're friendly, personable, attentive, and always seem to anticipate what you need before you even ask. They offer great suggestions and are wonderful conversationalists. They truly make you feel welcome, and if they have a moment, they'll happily stop and chat. I also want to give a special shoutout to Joe, the manager. I was organizing an event for my women's group--about 20 guests--and needed a venue that could work within a firm budget. When I called, Joe didn't hesitate to accommodate us. Many other South Bay locations either didn't respond or were outrageously expensive. This was seamless from start to finish. Joe worked with me to select the appetizers and music, ensured we always had water refilled and glasses topped off, and made sure every detail was handled. We had plenty of wine and appetizers, and the front area was reserved just for our group. The event was wonderful, and Joe's kindness and professionalism made it all so easy. Everyone loved Joe! Highly recommend Playa Hermosa--this place truly is a gem.

From the hand shaken fresh margaritas, I got the pineapple Serrano cilantro, to the complimentary fresh tortilla with honey butter and salsas, + the ocean breeze from the Pier, it's hard to complain. To share my table of 2 ordered the: * La asada con salsa (cooked medium) - comes with a side - we chose the corn - and rice and beans 10/10. I could drink the chimichurri sauce it came with and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection * mole blanco enchiladas - chicken Machacha, queso, chipotle pepitas, arroz de tomatillo and frijoles Nevro . 9.5/10 and I fear I will never want to have mole any other way. I also got a complimentary dessert of choice for my birthday. I opted for the fried ice cream (horchata flavored) which was divine and the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. The ambiance is lively, I recommend to sit outdoors as several other restaurants have live music and great to people watch. Huge compliments to the chef and to our incredible waiter, Peter, who was attentive and provided the best recommendations. Would definitely come back to explore more of the menu.

I've lived close by for years and I gotta say, after coming to Quality Seafood twice (once in Nov…read more '25 and in March '26), I will definitely stop taking this South Bay gem for granted. I've only had the pleasure of having the following items below, but I'll be back in the coming years to try more. - Calamari [7.7/10]: regardless of what size you order, the portion is generous. This place doesn't overdue it with the batter and lets the flavor the fresh squid shine - which I adore. Only giving this dish its rating because there are a few Italian spots in Torrance that have my heart when it comes to the best calamari. - Fish Tacos [8.5/10]: Every bite gives a nice crunch of both batter and fish. I've had unpleasant experiences where I've had pockets of crispy batter, here the fish tacos are so great it actually doesn't need much support from lemon and/or tartar sauce. Be sure to order a couple of these bad boys during happy hour for $5 each. - Clam Chowder [8.3/10]: This place hits the mark on the texture of a classic chowder. Admittedly my cup could have used a touch of salt. I would have liked a bigger portion for what I paid for, but if you're in the mood for something hot to compliment your fried seafood - this is worth getting. This is also featured on the happy hour menu for $5 - Garlic Fries [10/10]: My favorite bite from this place so far. Not on the happy hour menu, but 100% worth getting and eating with your fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. Perfect amount of seasoning and that white wet sauce on top is so so so addicting. The unsung hero of my most recent visit was Jose over at Station 20. In addition to taking my order, he single handedly called out orders for everyone by the dining the area during the end of happy hour rush. A whole wave of customers came in less than 10 mins I placed my order so I can only imagine how overwhelming things were on the service side of things. For my most recent visit, most of my order came in and my garlic fries came in last. I could tell there was a mix up in the kitchen, but Jose apologized and said a new order would be ready for me in less than 5. Definitely worth the delay/wait imo. Food is great. Seating is limited. Customer service is superb. But once you fish your food, you gotta take a long walk along the pier. It's a wonderful way to rejuvenate and make sure the quality seafood digests well. Can't wait to explore more of the menu, including the happy hour drinks.

I've been coming to Quality Seafood for the past couple of years, usually on Fridays for fish…read moretacos, and I've ordered the same fish taco and shrimp taco combination 40 to 50 times. It has generally been a place I've enjoyed and recommended, which is why this stood out. There's always been some normal inconsistency in portion. Some days the fish is bigger, some days smaller. Same with the shrimp, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. That never bothered me. It's part of a busy seafood counter, and I've never felt the need to say anything. What I got today was different. The fish taco was on the small side and dry, but the shrimp taco was the issue. It was served fried, very dark, and overcooked to the point the shrimp was tough. When I opened it after a few bites, I realized I was mostly eating tortilla and toppings. There were only about three shrimp total, which is noticeably less than what I've consistently received here before. In prior visits, I've also been asked whether I want my tacos grilled or fried, including the shrimp, and I've consistently chosen the lighter, non-fried option. What I received today was not that. I approached the counter politely and simply said the taco wasn't good, pointing out the quality and portion issue. I wasn't trying to make a scene and I'm not someone who returns food, especially over something this small. I was more pointing it out so it didn't keep happening. I was told nothing could be refunded because I had taken a few bites, so I asked to speak with a manager. That's where this went sideways. Instead of listening, the manager immediately dismissed it. She repeatedly told me that what I described was "not possible," insisted they have never prepared shrimp any differently in her 27 years there, and said they only ever serve three shrimp. As someone who has ordered this exact item many times, I was essentially being told that my own experience did not happen. The conversation ended with me being asked to leave. I've worked in and managed restaurants. Mistakes and inconsistencies happen. This was a simple situation that could have been handled in seconds, either by replacing the taco or offering a refund. Instead, it was denied outright and escalated. This wasn't about a $5 taco. It was about how it was handled. Being told that your repeated experience is "not possible" and then being asked to leave is not an acceptable way to handle a reasonable concern.
