Margherita Flatbread

Outstanding place to host a dinner buffet and fireworks viewing on the Manatee river for our nations 250th birthday!! on their mailing list so I received an email in May, invited my friend and her husband to join my husband and I for this fantastic event. Extremely well coordinated and executed, everything was polished down to free valet parking. Tables were beautifully decorated with flags, red, white and blue carnations, glow sticks, and a fan. Several buffet tables/stations were spread across the restaurant, and I did not get to try everything, but the food I had was. Fantastic. Lots of choices to satisfy everybody's desires. Great special cocktails too. Our server, Alycia, with excellent and as attentive as she could be, as a place was packed. It was also fun to see other enthusiastic patrons dressed up for the event. Seats were arranged on the patio for those who did not dine outside to watch the fireworks, and the city of Bradenton put on a fantastic 30 minute show. Not sure where we will be next fourth, but I will make it a point to stay home so we can attend this event next year

Another great meal at Pier22 , service was very good and the view is always great watching the boats come in from A day of fishing . Wife had the grilled Shrimp with a twice baked potato and asparagus . The shrimp were plump, meaty and tasty and she loved the potato , I had the French dip which was very good on a fresh ciabatta roll. The desserts were fantastic with a large , sweet and delicious carrot cake and Mango sorbet which was two large scoops of of very good sorbet - all in all worth the price

The ambience is perfect because you're right on the water. You can watch the boats go by. And our service was great. We were there on a Sunday around 130. The food was interesting and delicious. I had a flatbread pizza that was shrimp and street corn and it was made out of a cauliflower crust which I would not have guessed that if she hadn't told me and it was so crispy. My friend had the corn beef sandwich. He loved it, and we shared a tiramisu that was divine. I definitely wanna come back and try more of their stuff.

I had a gift card to use so we booked dinner here and it did not disappoint. We had to wait a little for our server to come to the table but they were very attentive after that. We had calamari that was good! I had fish and chips while my husband had the chicken cordon bleu. Food was served hot and the taste was great! The place was busy but we didn't have to wait to be seated and it was quiet enough to talk without any problems. It was clean and nicely decorated.

The customer service is amazing, the setting is beautiful. However, our food had no flavor, maybe it was what we ordered. 1st.) Appetizers: Grouper bites 7 out of 10 they were pretty good. 2nd) A grouper entrée with sticky rice 2/10. The fish was cooked nice but it had no flavor. Not even salt. The best part was the broccoli. 3rd.) Shrimp Scampi, nothing special (it was like Olive Garden). 5/10 4th.) kids cheese burger over cooked and dry 5.) kids pasta with marinara sauce it tasted like jar marinara.

We enjoyed a beautiful view with our dinner. Menu options are varied and we all enjoyed our meals. Crab cakes are made gluten free and was a large portion that also fed me lunch the next day. Service was friendly. Indoor and outdoor dining is available. Indoors has a great marina view and was slightly cooler on a hot summer evening than the patio seating with the bay view we opted for.

Okay the amount of times we've been here and I've never written a review.. I can't believe it lol! Better now than never! We are local to Bradenton and have eaten at many waterfront/waterview restaurants and Pier 22 is just by far my favorite. Not only for the incredible view (we've even seen dolphins while dining here! ) but also the food has never ever ever let me down. I am a celiac and I've always been treated with care here and have always had something beyond yummy to eat. The New Age flatbread is my all time favorite, it's an order I have on repeat. My fiance loves their Prime New York Strip and Stuffed Jail Island Salmon. We've also enjoyed wings together, so far we've tried Mirin Sake Glazed and Caribbean Jerk.. we're not quite sure which one is our favorite yet. The service has never ever disappointed here either! If you're debating lunch or dinner here, this is a MUST try!

The food was amazing and the view is something you must see! The service was fantastic, anything and everything we needed was given to us with no problems! Will be coming back!

I'm a regular at this place and last night we tried a few different things. We sat outside on a Saturday night by the water and it was nice. The only thing that was not enjoyable was the choice of music. The music didn't match the ambiance. Service depends on your waitress or waiter- last night the lady didn't fill up our waters enough but she was still nice. French onion soup- no one cared for it because it had scallions in it Chicken wings- were ok, nothing stood out to us French dip- didn't care for Grouper Picatta was delicious!!! Fried calamari - always good (but sometimes it doesn't come out hot)

As a family, we recently had dinner up Pier 22 to celebrate my dad's birthday and everything from the service to the ambience to the food was 10 out of 10! I wish I could remember our server's name, but his honesty was appreciated and his energy was exuberant. We ended up sitting outside on the patio and it was such a treat to not only watch the sunset, but all the fun and beautiful boats that passed by the Rockefeller oysters and the lobster cargot are must orders! My husband ordered the stuffed salmon and cleaned his plate while I opted for the grouper piccata. It was my first time trying grouper, and I'm definitely a fan.

Went alone one Sunday afternoon and was sat by the water with a great view. It took a long time to be waited on and unfortunately the waitress was not friendly or as warm as I expected or have experienced in the area. I ordered off the happy hour menu, had a Paloma and some kind of crab appetizer that had some bits of shell in the middle, nothing was done to rectify this or even an apology given but I didn't make a big deal about it either. I had a cup of clam chowder and it was incredible. Nothing needed to be changed there, the fresh bread that was brought was also a nice touch. Probably wouldn't return just due to the high price and unfriendly/ lack service but everyone may have a different experience.

My first visit to Bradenton was great! The views are pretty nice watching other guest dock their boats for lunch/dinner. The food was decent, I didn't order anything to rave about but a good meal that brought comfort. My server at the time was newer so she was still learning the foods herself but still very kind and sweet! Would come back on my next visit.

We were seated in a booth and the sun was glaring in my eyes, the shade wouldn't go down all the way so it was pretty uncomfortable. The waitress was nice but service was pretty terrible. She forgot to bring the blue cheese out so the cauliflower was cold. Refilled water only one time because we asked, but also waited a long time because she forgot. Never asked how our food was after getting our meals. Forgot to give me a receipt which I asked for. The place wasn't extremely busy and the table next to us had a waitress come back twice as much as ours. She kept saying sorry she forgot. Maybe it just wasn't her day. The highlight of the whole meal was the buffalo cauliflower. We didn't like the blue cheese fondue it came with, but asked for regular blue cheese on the side and it was so much better. This is the only thing I'd come back for. We got: Shrimp tacos (asked for grilled shrimp instead of fried)- not worth the price Kids burger- typical kids meal Ahi tuna bowl- husband liked but said too much rice Chicken Marsala- tastes like gravy with lots of black pepper... not Marsala. Chicken was very tender though which I liked. I didn't mind this dish but the polenta was burnt and dry I couldn't even eat it and the veggies were good. Salted caramel cheesecake- a little overkill on the caramel drizzle on top. I would have preferred it without any toppings. We plan on giving this place another try. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything amazing. We'd like to try some other things on the menu. Like I said above, I'd definitely order the buffalo cauliflower again! Hopefully I can update my rating next go around!

The restaurant sort of stands…read moreout in a shopping center that looks rather vacant and dated, but Coast is new and fresh looking. You really have to look for it to find it, so keep your eyes open! We were warmly greeted on a Friday night and seated right away. Ladies, bring a sweater as the A/C works really well inside and my wife immediately started shivering, but I always keep a sweater in the car for her, so she was happy. Our server, isiah, was fantastic. Super friendly, very responsive, and very nice. He is a huge asset to the restaurant, in our opinion. My food was good- I had the Ahi Tuna bowl, which was plenty of food, and the tuna was cooked as I like it- rare. I would ask for less ginger next time as there was a lot in the bowl and I took most of it out. Still, an excellent dish that is more filling than it looks. My wife doesn't like seafood, so she ordered the chicken marsala, which, in both our opinions, either needs to be removed from the menu or reworked completely. The marsala sauce had absolutely no taste- at all. My wife made the remark that she felt like this dish would be served in a old folks home. My wife asked for pasta with it instead of vegetables, and she should have stuck with the veggies, because the linguine was WAY overcooked, and again, no salt or anything- it did taste like the noodles you get in canned soup. Again, I think this dish should be reevaluated, but it won't stop us from coming back because there is so much potential here and I saw quite a few dishes I want to try and the desserts look good, too. The staff is great and the menu looks really good, so we're going to keep coming back in the hopes that my wife finds a dish she likes, because I know I will be happy with my food. By the way, I am not as picky as my wife, and I tasted her food and she was absolutely right about it.

We landed on Riverhouse for lunch and overall had a great experience. Parking was very easy, and there was even a cart available to take guests to the restaurant, although we chose to walk. The only unfortunate part of our visit was the hostess experience. We waited at least five minutes without being greeted, which honestly didn't bother me much. What stood out was that when she finally came over, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the wait. It was my husband, our two kids, and me, and she asked, "Table for two?" When I asked if they had a gluten free menu, she seemed confused and told me I would need to ask our waiter because she was new. Being new is completely understandable, but the annoyed tone throughout the interaction unfortunately left a bad first impression. Thankfully, everything changed once we were seated. We had a great table outside with a beautiful view, and when we opened the menu, we were happy to see that gluten free options were clearly labeled. Then we met Johnny D. What an absolute breath of fresh air! He immediately brought great energy, was incredibly knowledgeable, and took amazing care of us. Our son wanted oysters, and because some oyster facilities may use processing methods that can be a concern for someone with celiac disease, Johnny went above and beyond to find out exactly where the oysters originated so we could feel comfortable ordering them. He gave us great recommendations, stayed on top of everything at our table, and truly made the experience memorable. Johnny D turned what started as a questionable first impression into a fantastic lunch. We will definitely be back!

Lobster Pound was nearby and seemed to have something for all of us in the group so we came to check it out. It is a small, storefront restaurant with limited outdoor seating and indoor seating as well. Staff was excellent! Professional, welcoming and efficient. He even came out to hold the door for the one customer who he knew by name. If I lived closer I would try to recruit him to work for me because finding great young talent in the retail/food service industries can be hard! We ordered fried pickles and chicken tenders for my daughter, a minnow Connecticut style lobster roll for me, blackened grouper sandwich for my husband and fried cod sandwich for my mother in law, she also got some lobster bisque soup as well. Overall, least fave was the lobster bisque - she just thought it was a little too creamy. The fried pickles were great (tad bit saltier than I have had prior at other places but lends to show they are not frozen and fried but rather fresh and fried) - chicken was good, normal for a kid. The Connecticut lobster roll was delicious and dripping in butter - loved it. Blackened grouper was excellent and perfectly seasoned per the hubby And my mother in laws cod was so good and flaky she had to force herself to save some for later rather than eat all of it right then.
