For our second annual reunion, a restaurant called Pier22, located in Bremerton, was selected as it was the mid-point for all attendees. Situated in a harbor, there were views of the yachts and water at just about any place you sat in the restaurant. We were looking forward to the camaraderie that comes with long-time friendships. We were escorted to our table by hostess Kassi who seemed determined to provide a memorable dining experience for us. A glance at the menu provided us with many culinary delights to choose from. Kassi explained menu selections and specialties in a way that enhanced our choices. Her customer service throughout our meal made us all feel special. From the clam chowder soup that was excellent to the flatbread and other menu selections we knew we were in for a treat. What a great way to start our meal. There were rave reviews from all of us as we feasted on each choice selected. I ordered the grouper sandwich, which was cooked to perfection. Kassi's customer service was a real credit to Pier22. This is a nice spot on the water, but we were seated in the sun when there were tons of seats in the shade. Hostess could be a little more friendly. We had a couple of happy hour drinks and the jalapeño poppers which were very good. Server was great. They had a few gluten-free options, including some typical sushi rolls and the jalapeño poppers. Came here while visiting family. It's down on the pier and has plenty of parking and free valet. It's a good size with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were seated and our waiter was very good. The menu is different from lunch and dinner so not all items in the reviews are always available. Me and the wife shared the chicken penne pasta and the chicken bruschetta. Both were good but forgot pics. My nephew did try the alligator sandwich and said it was very good. The food is solid I wouldn't say great but solid along with location being on water and ambiance it's a solid 4 stars. read more

Let me start with the fact we have dined at Pier 22 quite a few times and we're hoping this last visit was an anomaly. Several things were good, but several bad. We got seated right away for dinner with friends, waitress came and took our drink order right away. I asked about the sushi but waitress said she wouldn't get sushi there. And I was hoping for some good sushi. Drinks were okay. Appetizers arrived quickly and that was probably the bright spot of the evening. Raw oysters were large, meatballs tasty. Waitress never told us any specials so we had to ask if there were any. When our meals came it was a disappointment. Crab cakes were okay, risotto was barely warm. A friend got Scampi Florentine and said it was most definitely not Florentine. Pretty much every dish was plain, nothing special. I ordered a second drink early but for about 15-20 minutes, we never saw the waitress. Then when she passed by, I had to ask again. We were pretty much done before second drink came. We were quite ready to leave. We have had good experiences here and 5 stars every time. This was pushing it to get three. For the two of us, not the experience we expected, definitely not $175's worth. Not sure we'll be back anytime soon. read more

A nice restaurant in a beautiful setting with a good menu however, our server Kirby really distracted from what could have otherwise been a great experience. Even though it was later in the night and she only had maybe one other table, she was completely absent seemingly more interested in cleaning the restaurant than attending to us. I had to get up several times for drinks, condiments, and other things we needed after our food was dropped off by someone from the kitchen and she never came over once to even ask how we were doing. The food was good although very salty- it's a lovely atmosphere. It would be nice if they would step up their service to match their prices. read more

Beautiful waterside restaurant. They have a good happy hour and the menu has a variety of seafood, pasta, and meat options. I had the Fish & Chips which were that fully cod, tempura batter that is light and not greasy. The Shrimp and Fish Tacos were also good. Jerk wings were good, just not spicy enough for me. I have been going to Pier 22 since it was Twin Dolphin Grill over 25 years ago. I will NEVER go there again. I could stand the high prices, great location and view, WONDERFUL STAFF. One of our favorite places to dine on seafood with beautiful water views. So on Friday evening we made a reservation for Pier 22 because I wanted soft shelled crab and my wife wanted her seafood cobb salad. We were sat immediately and we decided to dine inside because of a brewing storm. My soft shelled crab sandwich with homemade chips looked delicious and the portion was a nice size. It was also piping hot. My nephew had a cheeseburger which looked delicious and that was also a nice size. But my wife's seafood cobb salad wasn't like it use to be. This is her favorite dish and the only thing she orders. We've been here about 10 times and it's the only thing she's ever wanted because the first time it hooked her. But this visit she noticed that there was a considerable difference. This order she noticed that less seafood on it but the cost of the salad increased significantly. The manager "Peyton" came over and I showed her the difference from pictures I took on previous visits for my post. She apologized and returned back shortly with extra crab meat. The view, the food, the service... wow! Such a nice experience on our first visit to Sunday brunch. We arrived upon them opening so we got dibs for our seats right near the water. Chilly morning so the sun felt wonderful. There was also a large table with a firepit center, ill have to remember that one next time we have friends visit! Grew up here in Bradenton, but had not been here in many years. We were a large party served by only one waitress. She had a little bit of an attitude and was handling the group by herself and was probably the first mistake. Not enough foresight to bring carafes of coffee for the group who ordered it to avoid her being asked multiple times for coffee, but she finally did figure it out. I ordered a cup of New England clam chowder that was typical and had no wow factor and left me unimpressed. It was followed up with an order of shrimp and grits that arrived lukewarm at best with only four small shrimp on a plate of grits. It looked like the grits were placed there with an ice cream scoop and were sticky as if they had been pre-prepared then they tried to re-warm them. Plenty of sauce that did not have a texture of a freshly made product along with a bland flavor. Can't believe the lack of quality in this dish. It needs to be improved or removed from the menu. I will never order that one again if we ever return. The party size was very patient and did not have a demanding attitude towards the waitress just your typical requests from a large party being served by one waitress. read more

This restaurant caught my eye because it looked like a must do in Bradenton, and it was. So, there is limited parking up front, valet parking, or you can do parking at the marina for free for 2 hours. I went with a group for brunch and really enjoyed it. Bread was wonderful, hot and fresh with a savoury butter. Everyone made great choices, and the portions are on the larger size, prices are not. You can sit outside right next to the water, or inside with a water view. Service was above average with drinks being refilled without asking and the food came out quickly and hot. The balsamic chips were just ok, this was probably the lowest food choice. Waffles were great. A very relaxing place to just gather with friends or family and just chat it out. We went there for dinner. The view was great, the food was ok. It was a little chill so I had a bowl of NE clam chowder and the jambalaya. My companies had house salad, spinach salad, fresh catch black grouper, fresh catch shrimp, and jail island salmon. The chowder was slightly salty and the jambalaya was salty though with plenty seafood. You've to have a magnifying glasses to find the black grouper. The shrimp was over grilled and tough. We had a reservation for lunch. The hostesses seemed clueless about where to seat us. After taking their suggestion for the indoor patio where it was supposed to be warmer than inside the restaurant, we returned to the inside because it was colder and very loud on the enclosed patio. We were eventually seated at an indoor table for lunch where the plate for my setting was dirty with food still visible on it. Our waiter came in about 5 minutes and then got us water. He then disappeared for 15 minutes and was nowhere to be seen. At that point we decided to leave, because the service on every level was horrible. We got to Pier 22 early, around 4:30pm. We were able to get a table on the patio right next to the water. The service is great! From the hostess, to the server, to the busboys and other staff. Food is very good! Their happy hour specials offer good choices: Monte Cristo sliders, poutine, calamari, grouper/artichoke dip, chicken tenders, mussels... All at very reasonable prices. Sit outside totally worth it!!! Our family of 5 went here for me and my wife's anniversary. The food was amazing. We had calamari appetizer as well as the braised ribs so yummy. For dinner we had osso buco, fish and chips, crab cakes, lemon chicken and bbq chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious. Went to Pier 22 for dinner last night. My meal was uncomplicated: Sea scallops, sticky rice, and cream corn. The corn was absolutely delicious. The Chef had added some seasoning and slightly thickened the sauce. Fabulous. Now for the real issue. The scallops which I love because of their distinct flavor were flavorless. They also were somewhat tough. Not that usual melt in your mouth of a caramelized scallop. I know precisely what the problem was. The scallops were overcooked or were not fresh. They were covered with a strange glaze to disguise the problem. Even the sticky rice was simply dull. There was no seasoning in it. No, nothing creative added to excite the palate. My recommendation: if you find yourself at Pier 22, order the cream corn. read more
