The showroom was very well designed and the customer service was excellent. No pressure to buy anything, just a very nice young guy named Nick who really knew a lot about the furniture and how it's made. I didn't realize Home Zone actually makes all the furniture here in Texas which is a plus. No waiting for weeks for my new sofa. I will definitely buy from this location when I get my new home because the price is right.

He offered great assistance, it was the perfect balance of being there when I had a question, but also giving me the space to be able to explore. I'm very pleased with my experience at Home Zone in Allen and I'm enjoying my couch as well. I should have gotten the 5 piece . Any more Home additions I have I will be going to Home Zone first.

Having purchased Ethan Allen (EA) furniture previously, we decided to buy a media center. Our…read moredesign/sales associate located a stain color sample that matched our current pieces. By phone we ordered and provided our credit card number. In a few months we received it and immediately saw the stain color was not the stain we chose. Vicki, the store manager, dismissed our concern and said that it "BLENDED" with our other furniture. On the fourth call it was stated that EA does not match finishes. I agreed - it doesn't match the stain color sample they provided and we selected. This was after we emailed pictures of our chosen stain color sample on top of an existing piece and the existing piece next to the new darkly stained piece. She then stated it was a custom order and EA does not accept returns on custom orders. They hide behind the custom order policy and the customer has to pay for their mistake. Once they have your credit card info, if the finished product is not right, you are on your own. EA apparently TODAY does not understand nor provide customer service.

Naturally, I expected free shipping on an order well over that threshold. Instead, I was charged nearly $20 in shipping fees. When I contacted customer service, I was told the frames were "oversized" and not eligible for free shipping--even though that wasn't clearly stated. The language on the product page is contradictory and misleading. This isn't about $20--it's about transparency. If oversized items aren't eligible for free shipping, that should be clearly disclosed without conflicting statements on the same page. I've shopped at Michaels for years, but this experience left me feeling nickel-and-dimed and misled.

This place is an excellent spot for inexpensive and quality furniture. As a new college grad, I…read moredon't have a ton of money saved up and don't want to head over to Nebraska Furniture Mart to spend $$$$ on furniture for my new apartment. This place hooked me up excellent. I bought an amazing couch here for $350 (new). When I was looking at two other stores in the DFW area, the SAME exact couch was priced at $60 more expensive and $500 more expensive. Yes, you can get the same couch here for $500 less than other stores in the DFW area. That's INSANE. They also have a clearance section in the back with returned furniture that is marked down to dirt cheap prices. I got a like new night stand for $35, an amazing bookshelf for $57 and a solid TV stand for $90. A new dresser here cost me $250, new kitchen table was $100 and as I said earlier my couch was $350. That's a total of $882 to furnish an entire apartment with high quality furniture. I have friends that have spent over three grand furnishing their place! The deliver service they utilize is a bit pricey ($85 flat rate) but it beats hiring movers. The guys working here are super friendly and don't try to push you into buying anything. This place is where you want to visit if you don't feel like spending a fortune on furniture but still want high quality stuff.

So you already know I like the other Charter Furniture location. They call it the Retail or…read moreCorporate location, and this one is referred to as their outlet facility. The retail location referred us to this outlet location, and we're very thankful they did. In fact, some of the same items we looked at that were 400$ at their retail location, were $180 at their Outlet store. This place is a bargain for high quality furniture. It's clear their stock changes regularly, so I highly recommend checking this place out on the regular. Interestingly enough, one of the new chairs we bought had a rental return that matched, so we got a matching pair of designer high quality chairs for a steal. Be sure to look at the entire store. The facility isn't as nice as the other one, with this one having more of a warehouse feel. I'm not even sure it's as big as the retail location, but you're not here for the facility anyway. You're here cuz you're going to save a fat stack on some furniture. Marco was really helpful and very knowledgeable about the furniture. He showed us everything and was very informative. Francisco was nice and friendly, and was even flexible when my wife demanded pillows that went with a different couch... even though we had already paid. Delivery was smooth. We actually purchased items at both locations, and the delivery company owner Alex picked up items from both stores to deliver them for us on one delivery, and for a bargain! Alex and his crew was very familiar with furniture delivery and all furniture was delivered without any marks on the new items or on the property. He was about 10 minutes early even. To top it off, I negotiated with Alex to move my existing furniture out of the way for the new furniture! I'm no Charlie Sheen, but 'Winning!'
