Got a what was supposed to be a Mediterranean pizza via uber eats. The time estimate was 55 to 60 min but instead it took 120 min. When it arrived it was completely cold and felt like it had been sitting out for 30 min. It did not have mist of the items that were supposed to be on it including olives and feta cheese. The basil was black - like they put it in the oven for an hour basil was inedible. The pizza itself is the worst tasting pizza I have ever had. They said they saw my order but they closed right after it was placed. Then said the problem wasn't theirs and that I needed to take it up it's grub hub. I'm sorry but... the restaurant received money for my order. They should fix it. They said I could come pick up my cheese pizza. I was real excited for this place but we were real disappointed. I was expecting charred wood fired style pizza but what we got was mushrooms from a can, ham and salame that were bland, soggy, and could have been bologna easily. Cheese was ok but it also bland (weird for house made cheese) and the whole pie was soggy from the juice from the veggies and the packaged weird ham/salame imitation meats. I don't understand taking the time to make your own sauce and cheese, having a wood fire oven but then making your pizza with low quality canned ingredients?! Good garlic bread. This restaurant is new as of this summer. It's super convenient because I live in the same building as the restaurant itself. First off, I get a discount because I'm a VCU employee. That's a huge plus. Second, the portions are huge! Like the smallest personal pizza is enough for two people! I've had the pizza, chicken tenders, cheese bread and Philly cheesesteak. Salad not fresh-had to pick out lots of brown pieces, chicken Parma was mehhh mixed pasta and meat sauce with chicken breast chunks on top (including a large piece of gristle) was a little gummy and not particularly tasty. The sauce is flavorful but not too acidic. The cheese and pepperoni were perfectly balanced and had so little grease I was actually surprised. Then there's the herbed butter sauce that comes on the side, which took the pizza to a whole 'nother level when dipped. Plus, the price is unbeatable. The 8" pepperoni is just under $7 after tax and more than enough for a meal and leftovers for one person. I can't wait to try more of their menu. Check this place out. Being from North Jersey, I've have the privilege to enjoy fantastic pizza all my life. So I'm usually apprehensive about trying out pizza places outside of the tri state area. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing pizza made at 3.14. Brick oven, fresh pizza is something that's hard to come by. There is also a bar and at the time I went they had a DJ. This isn't your tradition pizza restaurant, it's definitely a great place to hang out with friends before going out, or for the after party. The owners are great and very lively. The sign states that college students get a discount, I live nearby and eat at the place often and the owner always grants me the discount upon showing my student ID. Today I was refused the discount because I am not a VCU student. Richmond has multiple universities and to be denied a perk for something so small is disappointing. Not to mention the hostess wouldn't let it go and would not put the customer first and verbally argued with me because of this. I can firmly say that I will not be returning.
