Visiting Arizona with family and my mom wanted a pie for her birthday. We weren't able to find a berry pie in Sedona, so I yelped for options in Flagstaff. I called PGP and Charlie picked up and was super helpful and friendly. I ordered (via text) a chuckberry pie for pick up their home, at 4 pm the next day. The address was easy to navigate to and my pie was there waiting for me. We got home with some vanilla ice cream and dug right in (hence no picture of a whole pie), and it was delicious. We bought the crumb apple pie at the Pic-n-Run in Kachina Village. The pie looked good, but the crumb topping was super salty and had a weird, powdery texture. The pie crust itself was great. The apple filling was sparse of apples and really sweet, which made the salty crumble top stand out more. Not what we expected, as several people recommended these pies to us. We pick up the Blueberry pie at the gas station and ordered the pumpkin pie. The ingredients are so fresh, the crust melts in your mouth. Great pies! Um... How is this level of amazing even possible? And I ordered a gluten free pie that's also sugar free (okay, I ordered two because.... Pie ) so... how? This is incredible! The crust is flaky, the price reasonable, apples are perfect (my fav kind of pie). I'm kind of low-key in awe. It's kind of perfect! As much as I've always loved pies, this is by far the best one I've had. And I happen to make a great apple pie with no sugar added, so I'm glad I was feeling unmotivated & ordered these because: it's incredible! Since going gluten free I've not been able to get the great crust achieved but they sure have, goodness. Suggest anyone who enjoys pie order from here because my "okay, I'll try a bite before dinner" turned in to two pieces of pie becoming my dinner instead because it was too delicious (plus life is short; eat pie). This guys pie's are legit. I consider myself a pretty good baker and if I have the opportunity in the future, I would definitely order pies from this guy for holidays. We were in town for my birthday and pie sounded great. Found this guy, gave him a call and he directed me to a Chevron on Railroad Springs Rd, where he had just delivered some fresh cream and fruit pies. He also offered to make a custom/fresh one for me. So sweet. Made the trip over to the gas station. Easy peasy. $13 for this homemade pie. Worth every penny. Even the non-sweet lover in our family loved it and is going to get another one today.
