I wish I could write a full review for this place, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to taste the food. We were seated promptly, but I cannot say the same about the waiter service. We waited for ten minutes before someone finally came up to our table to take our order. No greeting, no apology for the wait, just "You ready to order?". I told the waiter yes, but can we get something to drink first? We put in our drink orders and waited another 5 minutes. We then decided to walk out. Not sure how the food is, but the service sucked. So glad we walked out because we found a even better place called Big Time Pizza which was about a 7 minute walk away down the street. read more

Traveling through a tourist town during the off season means your options for food are pretty limited. After driving back from seeing the light show at the Crazy Horse Memorial we were starving. This was the only place in town that was actually still open. Being the only option we had we went with it. When we walked in we saw a line for the ice cream/to go pizza, but no one to tell us about seating. A line quickly formed behind us of people looking to be seated. The guy working the ice cream counter was little help in expediting someone to the floor. Someone finally came out and she seemed more annoyed that they had customers than happy to have people in the off season. We ordered the David Bowie (I think that is what it was called) and the pizza was good. It was sort of a step above Dominos but not quite fancy pizzeria level. I appreciated that they really seemed to be pushing themselves, but they weren't quite on par with the places they are trying to be like. Still I would give them a solid B for the pizza. The decor was also sort of a mishmash of weird and dated things. It felt like a strong disconnect between what the menu was trying to portray the place as vs what it actually was. A little interior work might help make the place feel more modern and welcoming. I get that Keystone isn't a happening place, but this has a lot of potential if it just put a little more work in. read more

Glad we walked through the door BEFORE I read the Yelp reviews. Glad my family wouldn't let us leave the second we walked in. We walk in the door as I'm looking at their Yelp reviews, and I said hey, it's 2 1/2 stars, want to leave? They said no. THEN WE ATE A SLICE OF HEAVEN!!! My parents loved their pizza, my bro's loved their pizza, I LOVED my calzone. We all stuffed ourselves so full we felt sick. The waitress was a sweet thing, from Ukraine. If I could give this place a zero I would. Stopped in for a scoop of ice cream and left with nothing. Bugs flying around every where and extremely poor service. After a long day of driving and fast food we found an oasis in the desert!!! We got to town at 8 and walked in at 8:30 to few places that were closing and didn't want to take new diners. A short walk down the street *cue the angel music* and we saw a pizza and pasta sign. This is not just pizza and pasta. It is a salad bar, a great bottle of local wine, a wonderful selection of italian dishes and great garlic knots... it was servers who didn't care what time it was and took us in and ten tables after us all while smiling and providing the best customer service I have encountered on this 2600 mile road trip. I am staying two nights and definitely know where I am eating tomorrow night! read more

I don't like to leave poor reviews, but I don't want other families to waste their money, so here it goes. I got the ziti, which I was told by one of the servers I would love. The pasta was way overcooked and mushy. The sauce was watery and the entire dish had no flavor. My husband got the spaghetti bolognese, which he said was just okay. Our daughters got mac and cheese and spaghetti. Neither one liked their dishes. One of the servers seemed tense and frustrated and the other could barely understand English, so it was just difficult to get good service because she kept bringing the wrong drinks. Cash was only accepted because the card machine was down. The only highlight was the garlic knots, which were yummy. However, we were supposed to get 4 per main dish and only got 4 for a family of 4. read more

We enjoyed the food. I had the eggplant parm Esa sandwich and it was awesome. The use a balsamic reduction instead of red sauce and it was really flavorful. My Fiance had the chicken paremsan and it was also good. The portions were huge and we were there for lunch. The macaroni salad was bland, but I had enough other food to not care. Fairly good NY style pizza. Thin crust that is actually thin, AND crunchy. Good buffalo wings. More than passable service by the aforementioned (eastern European) exchange student who spoke English very well, and who anticipated our needs. I'm thoroughly disappointed. I had called in my order to have it delivered. Firstly, we had to repeat everything we said multiple times. Secondly, we waited close to an hour before we got our order. I signed for it and put a small tip. Then we opened up the containers to find that it wasn't even what we ordered. Lastly, the following morning we were checking our account balances and seen that they had decided to charge us more than what was put down on our receipt and the tip was charged separately for higher than what I had given them. read more

If the pizza was as horrible as the service, we would've left 1 star. The pizza was ok, albeit incredibly overpriced for the quality. The service was awful....& we ordered CARRYOUT! I had to call 3 times just to get someone to pick up the phone. When they finally did, they asked me to hold & laid the phone down for 5 mins. I was finally able to place our order, but when we showed up to pick it up, we sat at the front (& joked with the 2 ladies who were at the ice cream counter, also waiting for food) for way too long. We just had a poor experience here. It took forever to get our pizza because the first one burned we were told. We had to ask for everything we needed (utensils, napkins, water, our bill) and each time it took forever. We are very patient people, but this was frustrating. After a day of walking we were so hungry, and now so disappointed. The pizza was crunchy and lacked flavor. Was nervous about the low rating on here and when we walked in everything just felt....off. Our waitress was in training and super awkward and didn't pick up social cues very well. We almost walked out after ordering drinks. But glad we stayed because the garlic knots were delicious and the pizza was customizable and pretty good too! Not quite a gourmet pizzeria but it was good! But they should really remodel the inside. Feels old and awkward and doesn't match the menu. read more

Some of the worst service and low quality food. We got sat down and upon asking where the bathroom was, I was told, rather rudely to "Follow the back signs and arrows to the bathroom. When getting back I was greeted to the fact that they still hadn't even asked what drinks we wanted. This was probably ten minutes after we had initially sat down. When we finally were asked what our order would be, the people behind us had asked three times to order. So it was no surprise when they took so long getting to us. When we finally ordered we were greeted with a show of a young woman dropping silverware, picking them up, coughing in her hand, then placing said silverware I the clean bin. So great, about twenty minutes later our food arrived. A medium Buffalo Soldier, a chicken club with salad they never asked what salad we wanted, and a fettuccine that was lousy with a piece of garlic bead that was tiny and looked decrepit. Her fettuccine came with the "salad bar". If you can even call it that. The salad dressing was watery, the strawberries mushy, and the lettuce looked like someone got mad and beat it. The pizza was nice on the edge, sure, but the center was soggy, with far too much dressing. Finally finishing our food we went up to pay. Only to have the lady there completely ignore us. Finally acknowledging the lady with us who was paying, she asked rudely, "Are you ready to pay?" She gave her our ticket after. The lady never asked us how our meal was, never said thank you, nothing. Just took our money, and went to the next guy. The only fast service we got as when we had asked for our ticket. In short, avoid this place. They'll ignore you, bring you lousy food, treat you poorly, and take your money. Go somewhere else. You'll be better off. read more

Wow. Being from New York, I was very skeptical of a pizza place in the middle of a tourist town in South Dakota. Let me tell you, this food does not disappoint. The pizza was crisp, light, and incredibly flavorful, the entrees were huge portions, and you could tell everything was made to order. The service was a little slow, but our server was absolutely delightful, and the food was well worth the wait. If you're ever in keystone, I'd highly reccomend stopping by. When my mother-in-law said she wanted spaghetti for dinner I was skeptical that I would be able to find a place in Keystone. Pizza yes, but spaghetti ! We both had the spaghetti and my wife had the baked zita. The dinners came with a trip to the salad bar and a cannoli for desert. The prices here are outrageous. This is basically mall pizza, BUT the slice I got wasn't even as big as a standard piece of mall pizza (probably half the size) and cost $4 (probably double mall prices)! Our order was only two slices of cheese, two slices of pepperoni, and the waitress had to come back to clarify the order. She then delivered our order wrong (three cheese pieces), then when she arrived with the other pepperoni, it was cold. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant (with good reason), but it took extremely long to get to us. On top of that, the outside of this pizza place looks rustic and charming, but the inside is like someone took country-style furniture right out of the 80's and added mirrors (not sure what the random Mickey Mouse thing is about either). This is the epitome of a tourist trap, and yet, even the bathrooms are the size of a single plane bathroom, so obviously they do not have travelers in mind.
