It is located on Sunset Blvd. and parking is on the street, mind the signs. They may also have a small parking lot. I am not sure. You can pick up there or have it delivered. The place is not huge, and it does not need to be. It has an amazing selection of various tables and chairs and some art. Also, whatever you want they can make for you. I always find exactly what I want right there. They also have a great website to browse what is in stock. The service is wonderful. Call them before you go because sometimes the front door is locked, but someone is there. The owner is so nice and she often answers the phone. It is family owned. The prices are super fair and they will tell you how to care for your furniture so it lasts a life time. I recently bought a beautiful table, 4 chairs and their great cushions for a little outside patio. It is so pretty and it is just peaceful. I bring in the cushions when I think it might rain. Nothing fades and it is built so well. They make it all themselves right here in California. The tables on their website or in stock are always available for curbside pick up, home delivery and shipping anywhere in the United States. If you want you can arrange delivery by phone or email. I love to just go there. And I am disabled, but had my husband was with me. The furniture is heavy and the main employee helped us load it into our truck and made sure it was wrapped in such a way that nothing would break or get scratched. Now, if you live within 20 miles of the store always ask for local delivery or pick up. Again the tables are handmade at their store/factory in Los Angeles. The tables are made to go indoors or out. With proper care they will last many years outside. They are not frost resistant unless under a covered patio, so be careful of that. Care should be taken to move the table top to a sheltered place during the winter if your climate is subject to freezing temperatures. They can also be damaged under full sun in very hot climates, but it has to be super hot for sometime. The tables are made with either high-fired ceramic tile or stained glass. Both of these materials are durable. They will never fade or wear out, and are extremely chemical and stain resistant. Both materials are hand-made and will naturally have some imperfections and color variations. The frames, bases and seating are powder-coated steel. Each one is a wee different because of the hand made quality so you will have an original. The tables and bases are made separately. They make bases in coffee (17-19"), dining (29"), kitchen (36"), and bar (42") heights for all tables. They can also custom make a base any height in-between. If you like it they will make it for you and they don't take forever. Use 511 Impregnator Sealer by Miracle Sealants twice a year if your table is out in the elements. They even have a You Tube channel to show you how to do it. It takes no time at all and I think they sell it there. They also have some nice art that you will not find elsewhere. It is my favorite place to get tile furniture. Go there.

Los Angeles is loaded with thousands of places which can I deem as "favorites": museums, vintage…read morestores, beaches, restaurants, parks, bars, etc. Well, add Omega Cinema Props to that list. Omega is a museum, thrift store, vintage/antique store, and prop rental house in one. I can spend hours here roaming the goods. Omega is Hollywood's LARGEST prop house and is situated in 4 floors of a warehouse-sized building. One might naturally think that this results in a cluster crazy-house of props and film set personnel but alas, it is actually so organized that even my OCD is a happy camper. Each floor consists of EVERY SINGLE item you could ever need to dress a film set such as knick-knacks, children's toys, globes, clocks, paintings, rugs, furniture, books, candlesticks, chandeliers and even phone books! And that list is only about 1/16 of the items they carry. Each floor is neatly categorized (ie. "furniture", "toys") and subdivided into time periods such as "Greek Furniture", "1960-70s beds". It is VERY easy to find anything and everything that a buyer needs to satisfy the set designer and set dresser of a film. Plus, everything is in pristine condition. Ultimately, it is like the best thrift or antique store you have set your eyes on. I fell in love with a throne used in "The Tudors" HBO series and a 1964 Magnavox Console TV (see photos). Service is also extremely pleasant and smooth. Although you have to "check in" with reception when entering (this isn't like a regular retail store you can just browse) and you generally need to work for a production company whom already has an account with Omega; they then allow you to do your own thing and don't hover as you search for your props. You receive numbered stickers which you place on the items you need so that others know they are "held". Omega then scans numbered barcode stickers. When you are ready to pick-up the props, Omega is the only prop house which helps you dock and load your props onto the truck versus you doing all the work. Another highlight is the computers in their lobby allowing you to upload photos of the props to send to your corresponding set designer for final approval. Not to mention, their Internet website has a full-inventory catalog allowing you to see if they have your desired prop, saving you a trip. Whether you work in film or not, Omega is a great place to check out if you have the opportunity. Just don't lose or break anything: you have to pay for it!
