As someone who foolishly put off renting furniture for my event until the week before, I was so thrilled to find LA Party Rents--I was already bracing myself for a party graced with ill-disguised fold-out chairs and folding tables, and so being able to deck my venue out with rustic furniture at the absolute last minute was a real dream. So many of the other rental companies I had been talking to *technically* serve all of LA County, but their warehouses are so far south that it makes delivery exorbitantly expensive; LA Party Rents was a great option for renting in the valley (Woodland Hills, specifically), and I'm definitely looking forward to using them again in the future. I ordered furniture for a small, casual event with about 40 folks in attendance--a large main table for our food spread, and a number of benches, chairs, tables, and high tops to create small seating areas throughout the space. And a couple barrels because what am I supposed to do, NOT rent a bunch of vintage barrels? Yeah, exactly. Thank you. The furniture was more than I could have hoped for, and drop-off/pick-up was effortless; I was able to call the warehouse in the morning to get a vague estimate of when they'd be at my venue (first stop on their route, turned out!), and the teams loading in the furniture were so kind and helpful. Easy, relatively great prices compared to everywhere else I'm looking, and I can't wait to rent from them again in the future! read more

I hate when the negative reviews are right. I contacted them a week ago for a quote and have received two polite formulaic emails that my quote is forthcoming. Usually rental companies respond in one business day. Now, I'm scared to rent from them as the comments about low/bad communication appear to be true. Oh well. Their dinnerware is quite beautiful and I am sad. read more

We rented out a big tent for our company event and it went great. The size was great. Oscar was very accommodating with all of our changes due to the weather concerns. And the tent was sturdy enough for the heavy rain. Thank you again! read more

Workers are so nice and the communication is great! In my opinion they have really good prices for the current market. I hope they keep it up read more

Incredible company. Great pricing, very nice personnel. Highly recommend LA Party Rents.

We called around for quotes. This company was twice as expensive than all the others in the surrounding area. If they can get those prices then hats off to them. This company was going to charge us $375 to set up on a rainy day. I found the over all prices to be excessive and the rain fee borderline gouging. read more

I rented a popcorn machine from LA Party Rents for a party. They had the lowest price I could find, and delivery and pickup was only $25 total. The machine was delivered and picked up on time, it was clean, and it worked great. I will definitely use LA Party Rents again. read more

I needed 12 chairs for my Friendsgiving and they came through. So nice and professional 10/10 recommend

My experience with the crew at LA Party Rents exceeded all expectations. Daniel and his team were an absolute joy to work with. I couldn't have dreamed of finding a better company to use for our 800-person multi-day conference. Their attention to detail and kindness throughout the chaos made all the difference in our event's success. Their catalog of items is extensive so they had everything I needed. They were on-time and extremely efficient during the short load in and load out windows we had available. We couldn't have done it without them! Highly, highly recommend. read more

Here's the thing... we rented two tables for a New Years Eve party and, truth be told, their tables have seen better days. I went there myself to PU two tables ... trying to save the $90 PU and Delivery fee. As it turns out, the tables were not matching and we called them to see what they could do, asking them if they could come pick up the problem table and give us a better one at no cost to us. For awhile, it seemed like they were going to bullshit their way through it... "don't think we have another 5 footer", etc... but after calling us back twice, damn if they didn't come up with a solution and they are picking up and delivering on very short notice. (And let's not forget that the bottom line is that I maybe should have noticed the issue with the tables when I picked them up since they had them both set up to inspect when I picked up.) After us calling them three times before we rented and three times after we rented, giving us some sort of "web discount", dropping new off, picking up the older ones and all the hassle... and the total bill came to $18.97. That's a lot of customer service and inexpensive table rentals for $19, even if the tables have seen better days. read more

I do not recommend this company. I reached out with plenty of time to help me plan for my wedding, everything seemed to be going well, met with their design person but he really didn't offer much input. He said I would receive an invoice in the next day or two.....never got one. I pinged back about a week later and still no response. I was hoping they would be amazing seeing all the great feedback but sadly it didn't work out that way. read more

It is ONE DAY before my delivery date and i was just informed that LA Party Rents will not be able to move forward with my order. I have been trying to use LA Party Rents for an event at my home this Saturday. I have to admit that working with Evelyn and Daniel, the manager, has not been a pleasant experience. Daniel did let me know that this is very unusual and he rarely has an unhappy customer. I placed an order online and never heard back from them. After calling three different times, I learned that they had emailed the quote and it probably went to spam. I had Evelyn send it again and sure enough it was in spam, along with thousands of other emails on that Yahoo.com email address. Daniel let me know that as a customer it is my responsibility to call and follow up if I want to use their services. I am now waiting on my 4th order copy to be sent and hope that it is correct. It has taken that many times for them to get the item count and fees correct. There is also a delivery fee and they charge you a Workers Compensation Fee to cover their workers comp insurance because it is so expensive in California. This was a first for me and pretty shocking. If you have problems with orders, I would suggest not involving Daniel as he is not very pleasant to chat with and will never admit that there is a problem. I would assume this to be from him never having to deal with an unhappy customer before. Now I am looking for a delivery company for tomorrow. read more

LA Party Rents - Green hedges and matching bar - Party Equipment Rentals Near Me - Van Nuys, California

TL;DR lack of costumer service and poor quality furniture, but I encourage you to read my entire review below before working with this company: My company hosted an event this week and wanted to rent a specific type of barstool and after endless googling and yelping, LA Party Rents seemed like a good choice. We were wrong. The frustration began at the very beginning of the process. After placing our order online, we were told via what seemed like an automatic email that the company would reach out to us soon regarding our purchase. That never happened, leading me to call the company and ask for that confirmation. The day before the event (delivery day) we had not be informed of an estimated delivery time, which led me to call them once again and ask for an update. After the second call was when the uneasiness set in. As an event planner, I've worked with countless of event rental companies and have never experienced this lack of professionalism regarding communication. All that aside, I was just eager to see the furniture. Finally, the chairs came and we were shocked and disappointed as to how beat up and used they looked. The paint was chipped in several places along the chair legs and the white leather fabric, showed countless numbers of tears and stains. We reached out to the company and aired how frustrated and disappointed we were. The company, specifically, Susana, showed little remorse and gave us the option to either get a refund or look into a different style of chair. We were in a difficult bind, so I called her and asked for pictures of other barstools she would recommend. When I spoke with her over the phone I was surprised how unapologetic and apathetic she was about the whole situation. She emailed us pictures of the chairs, explaining that most of them looked beat up and weren't quite sturdy (which is a terrifying thought if you're putting company guests on them). We decided to go ahead with the refund and not use the chairs. I've never had this poor of an experience working with an events rental company. To say that we are disappointed and frustrated is an understatement and quite frankly, I'm not sure how this company is so highly regarded. If you're looking for something cheap and casual this is your place, but professionals stay away. read more

I found LA Party Rents when searching for rentals for my wedding. I did initially have some of the same experiences with regard to getting return calls from the vendor. However, the prices were great and when I turned over the reins to my wedding coordinator, she had no problem with communication flow at all. Not only did their staff deliver to a difficult to find venue, they set things up perfectly, were very nice, and picked up the items when promised. Another thing that stood out to me was when I made my order or "wish list" of items, Kevin thoroughly looked over my order and made recommendations based on seeing my venue, understanding the look I was going for, thereby ensuring I truly rented what I needed for my special day. All in all I think this is a great company to go with for a special occasion. read more

I just worked with LA Party Rents for my wedding. I had some hesitation after reading a negative review about the vendor not following through but I went with them as I wanted to get it off my checklist. Very helpful all around, fair prices especially with the specific time pick up and drop off. I would definitely work with them again. I reached out to most LA party equipment rental companies and alot of them were not responsive at all, especially the big names. I'd definitely use them again. read more

A day late and zero discount. Non-existent customer service. I rented 100 chairs for our wedding that were supposed to be delivered Friday from 9-5, which was okay because the wedding was Saturday. I checked my phone at 3:30pm Friday as we were at our shower and saw a missed call from them so returned the call and they said they were running late but assured the chairs would be delivered that day. Fast forward to 3:30am, still no chairs and it literally had me losing sleep. With the wedding is 12 hours away, I emailed every single contact listed on their website website in a panic that all our guests are going to have to stand. They emailed back saying they will be there by 8am. They got there at 9am, with literally a couple hours to spare, which we still had to decorate them with florals, label the assigned seats, etc. It was a huge unnecessary stress. They did not offer to even take a dollar off for the inconvenience, so I will never use them again. I gave an extra star because at least the chairs did eventually get there. read more

I was a very loyal customer! I used them for all of my events; My residence is very close to them, and I always though of continuing using them as they are locate in my neighborhood. However, I am very disappointed with my last rental, and probably will be the last. First of all, I literally call them every day, and e-mail them as they wouldn't return my inquiry to my rental. I actually had to create a list of the things I need it, using their web site guide as to the items numbers, measures, colors, etc. After sending my card authorizing document; I inquiry about my rental (didn't even know, what my total will be). Suddenly at 8:30AM, the truck knocks at my door (a day before my event) that they were delivering my rental. Their fee was $80.00, although I literally leave within couple blocks from them. I was surprised, but they left my rental. When I set up, the next day, one of the table linens wasn't the right one, the umbrellas were placed, but didn't bother to tell me that the linen has to go first, then the umbrellas. Why did they install the umbrellas; if the linen was supposed to go first? Luckily a friend came early and was able to remove the umbrellas. I called them the day of the event to report about the wrong table lining; and they simple answer to cut a hole myself or returned it on my own! I also rented two heaters that I wasn't able to use as they wouldn't turn on!! That was a completely waist!!! Their tables are very old, and very poor maintenance; same with the chairs, the chair pad are lose, dirty and very poor quality. This is not a cheap rental place, and one can expect good quality services. I am still waiting for them to let me know at what time, they will be picking my rentals! I will never use them again. I complained to the delivery guys, and they said that they are very busy, same when I call them to notify about the wrong table lining; their answer was: "we are busy" read more

I used LA Party Rents for a Halloween party I had in my backyard and they were so helpful. It was last minute and within 3 days they sent a guy named Kevin out to help me design a layout of my backyard and what I should rent for furniture. I really appreciated his insight and help. He helped me fit a dance floor, cocktail tables and lounge seating. He had great ideas on how the flow of the backyard should look and feel. He even suggested these light up LED cocktail tables since my party was at night. (By the way, they are SO worth the extra price you pay to have them. They really create a great mood with the changing colors. ) The furniture delivery was the only thing that was a bit off. The day of delivery they missed the window of time they had quoted by 3 hours. Luckily, I was home the whole day. Despite that, I will still be loyal to using this company again for my annual Halloween party. I'm really satisfied with the quality of the furniture and that Kevin knew how to lay out the design of my event. read more

I've been using LA Party Rents for a few years now and they have been my GO TO for all of our events that I plan. I do all the coordinating and planning, which takes away the need for a catering company to do all of my planning and renting. They have a pretty extensive selection of furniture rentals from bar stools, cocktail tables, banquet tables, to flatware, catering supplies (trays, convection ovens), anything your party or event may need, it could be as simple as an ash tray, yep they've got that, too. They do handle deliveries, too and their showroom is based in Van Nuys, but their website is pretty accurate and their are images so you are fully aware of what you're getting. I have the same contact who I like to talk to because there are no hassles and she has a good idea of what I always need and if we end up with a broken chair or bad table, they will gladly come on site within a few hours or less and replace it for you. They are also big on conservation and offer many discounts to non profits, as a regular customer they offer me generous discounts, too. No daily charge on the items, I need them for 3 days, I get to keep it all for a flat tate. It's that simple. read more

I worked with Shawn Flannigan at LA Party Rents for my wedding at The Unique Space in Downtown LA and he was SO helpful. He came to the venue for a walk-thru and we met him at LA party rents showroom to pick out all of our items and he was always very quick to respond. We had to rent A LOT since the venue was just an open space, but Shawn made it so easy. We had to rent a ton of chairs, tables, linens, a super cute bar made out of fake shrubs, cocktail tables with stools, all of our glasses and utensils, and a bunch of other stuff - it seemed very complicated, but Shawn and the team had everything organized and delivered and picked up on time the day of the event. They don't have a ton of "stylish" or "trendy" rentals like some other companies, but I did a ton of research and LA Party Rents was the most affordable so I made it work! I'd hire them for any rental needs again in a snap. read more

After calling several party rentals in the SF Valley I finally came across this place. I am an event planner looking to rent highchairs for an event and everyone else I called was neglectful, rude or simply unwilling to help. I highly recommend them and will be happy to review them once again after my event. read more

I hired LA Party Rents for our wedding. Shawn was our point person and he was amazing! He gave me such great guidance with what to rent and I never felt like I was being "sold." He truly wanted me to have the right amount of furniture and equipment. We ordered tables, beautiful string lights for outside, lighting for our selfie station, and light for the band. I changed my order about 5 times because I've never planned a wedding, and Shawn was always prompt and super friendly. I'm so grateful for that! Thank you, LA Party Rents! Not the cheapest option, but they came through for me in a pinch. They delivered exactly what I had requested (only needed 4 pieces of 4'x4' stage along with the covering they provide for it) on time and set it up quickly and safely. We used these guys for our wedding! They have a great selection and very competitive prices, but the communication was very difficult. I had to email multiple times for every step in the process to make things happen and sometimes had to chase those up with multiple phone calls. Weddings are so stressful I would have really appreciated them making more of an effort. Also the day of the breakdown of the tables took half and hour more than they said it would. If we hadn't extended of time at the event space we would have been charged hundreds extra. However, the drop off was perfectly on time and quick. All in all the experience was okay, I'd just like to see them improve their communication. read more

Wow, I can't express myself more. I do not recommend it to anyone. Like previous customer said beware. I put my inquiry in weeks in advance maybe even a month. A week before someone calls me and tells me the stuff isn't available. I was upset and was not ok with taking a no. So she finds my stuff I call and let them know I can pay and the invoice states that you can pay on delivery. But like any money hungry vendor she charges me, continues charging me until the froze my account, made me go negative and froze funds until next week my wedding is this Saturday. Do not trust them beware they will cancel on you last minute. I will never consider them I rather buy stuff brand new from living spaces then to waste read more
