I liked how they had each area sectioned off. My son and his girlfriend got a bag and started to pick out what they wanted. My husband and I did the same. I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a hit or miss on taste. The Champaign gummy bears were pretty hard to chew. They tasted like they'd been sitting there awhile. We also picked out some chocolate bears that had a very tart inside, not a fan. Everything else was pretty tasty. I liked the white chocolate covered Oreos and chocolate covered cherries. We also tried some round candies that tasted like birthday cake. Overall, I would definitely come back but out more thought into what I want to try. I let my eyes tell me what I wanted to try. Lol

Despite the holiday season, the store was stocked full of things from pajamas to gym equipment. The only part of the store that was a little bare was the snack section near the front. Checkout lines were long but moved quickly, and the cashier that rung us up was all smiles. It wouldn't hurt to stop by if you're in the area. You may find something you need at a discounted price!

In some ways, I am confused by the real name of this eatery. Is it Helotes Healthy Balance as…read morelisted on the top of the door and store front? It also says it features Mas Cafe, which is exactly that is displayed throughout on cups, screens, and merch inside. On my receipt, it was noted as Main Street Cafe. If you find out the real name other than the potential DBAs, let us know. The first time I visited, I had a Tres Leches Frappe and a ham and cheese croissant. The croissant had a layer of ham and a layer of cheese on a "tough to cut with a knife" croissant. I'm not sure it'd call either super healthy or filling, yet it did the job the morning I needed it. It was then that I learned there's also no low sugar or sugar alternative options. This was far from a low carb meal, yet they did reduce the amount of tres leches mix in my drink. The second time I went, I opted for a Tres Leches Cold Brew and an Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese. Again, I asked for less mix in the drink since the bagel was, obviously, carb heavy. I was sad to see that the cream cheese was only on the bottom and the bagel had been over toasted. The flavor was a little burnt, and the bagel was dense and tough to bite into. If I'm in the area and absolutely need something, I may stop by. Yet, their menu is pretty limited. While the decor is super cute, having lower carb or nutritiously dense options is important to me.

Renee's Twisted Chocolates was the last tent for us to visit on our way out. Chocolates always stops me dead in my tracks so I was definitely curious to find out what's so special about this one. It was great to hear that Sidney named his business after his Mom. He had a wide array of different types of chocolates but I was most interested in dark chocolate. The 75% Semuliki Forest captured my attention because he mentioned the chocolate was sourced from Uganda and I had never had chocolate from there before. He gave us a small piece to try and I was sold. The other one I got was the 75% Cranberry Dark which is Semuliki Forest with cranberries. What I noticed on the packaging after I got home is that both do not contain dairy so it's good for vegans! I'm definitely going to savor the chocolates I've bought and looking forward to getting more.
