I was completely wowed by the item I tried today. The Coco Delight had coconut and pineapple Italian ice, pineapple and strawberries and toasted coconut on top, a layer of slightly frozen mango bits between the coconut and pineapple scoops. It was like a tropical bit of heaven! The service was spectacular. So friendly and attentive. read more

Absolutely love this place. I actually took a snapshot before devouring it this time. Our favorite snacks to get from here are the Rusa, Coco Delight, and Pepino Loco. Allll so yummy and flavorful. Good stuff. A bit pricey for sno cones but in line with most ice cream shops like Amy's or Baskin Robbin's. They have a lot of ice cream based treats as well so the prices track. There's a good vibe here too and they keep the place clean. read more

My wife has been wanting to go to Snow Heaven since it opened. Due to our busy schedules, we didn't get the chance to do that until today. I'm so disappointed that we couldn't go sooner. Everything we had was insanely good. Initially, my wife had ordered a Hot Cheetos w/Cheese, however, the gentleman suggested the Tostielote instead. First of all, I had no idea that an "Xtra Flamin' Hot" flavor of Tostitos even existed. It was served in the bag and had all of the fixings of corn in a cup, along with jalapeños. Epic. We also tried the Coco Delight. It had coconut shavings, coconut ice cream, cantaloupe, and some other stuff. I was a little nervous that it would be too sweet, but to my pleasant surprise, it was a refreshing and fresh desert. My daughter had a fruit in a cup and everything appeared fresh and crisp. Finally, my wife described the corn in a cup as perfect, which is saying a lot considering corn in a cup is one of my wife's guilty pleasures. The location is pretty good, offering plenty of parking and outdoor seating, with nice shade and LED lighting within the umbrellas. I initially wanted to go to Andy's Custard at the Rim that just recently opened. Instead, my wife suggested Snow Heaven since we were running a little short on time and didn't want to drive all the way to the Rim from Boerne. I'm very glad she did. So happy to have a place like this in our neighborhood. The employees are always courteous and happy to help. Yes even when you get there 5 minutes before closing!! My favorite is the Mangonadas. Seriously such a yummy place!! There are so great at giving you what you want. I get a fresada and corn in the cup with tajin instead of chili. I also get 2 scoops of strawberry shaved ice! I didn't even finish my cup, which is saying something, as I love gelato typically. It was on the bland side and priced higher than it should be. It may just be a tourist gimmick based on its location in the center of San Antonio right near the Alamo. I personally would not return.

Where is the button for 10 stars???…read more Oh man! Black+White Modern Creamery is easily one of the best ice cream spots I've ever tried, and definitely the best I've had in San Antonio! I got taro, lavender, and chocolate Oreo, and they were all so delicious and creamy. The portions were generous, and the price felt very fair for what you get. (They have a flight!!!) I also love the local, small, family-owned business vibe. The owners were very friendly, which made the experience even better. My only wish is that they stayed open later on Sundays. Right now, they close at 3 PM, and I would love to be able to stop by for ice cream on my way back to Austin in the late afternoon. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors and next time I will bring a big cooler to bring more back home!

When I asked if there was any vegan options, the girl starred at me for a few awkward seconds, said "we only have blue bell ice cream which all has dairy" while giving a very dismissive look as if I was clueless. She acted like i was suppose to know that. If you don't have a dairy allergy, then by all means go for this place because they have a lot of options.
