    Snowcone.
    Melissa D.

Moved here and wanted a snow one. First the price was either 3.50 for a small. Since when do you pay for a cup of flavored ice cost that much for a SMALL. Didn't have cash so she said it was a $5 limit, fine got a water. Which made it $5 then she asked if I wanted to tip for an overpriced snow cone. I declined. Got in my car and literally had no flavor but ice until you go to the bottom which I threw the top out of the window cause who wants unflavored ice. Bottom line, if you charge that price it should be favorable. Will not be returning.

I come for the Piccadillys! Don't make the mistake I did (on a hot day while waiting in line) and forget to borrow the Arctic chill umbrellas for shade from the bucket by the truck. You might be waiting for a bit but the Piccadilly is always delicious. Great prices.

Affordable prices for legit shave ice! It melts as soon as it hits your mouth and they do not slack on the syrups! I got a rainbow with cherry, blue Hawaiian, and coconut. I loved the cherry flavor! It also didn't take very long for our order to come out, but while we waited in the sun we grabbed an umbrella that was provided by them. Great idea! Just wish we had somewhere to sit. But this truck sits in a parking lot so that limits any seating options I suppose. So we gladly sat in our truck to eat our shave ice! I'm very happy we stopped by while we were in town! It was perfect after a long day in the sun!

This little food truck is the perfect stop to any scorching sunny Texas day! It's located in a very random area of San Marcos, right behind Dairy Queen off of the intersection of Highway 123 and I-35. Their "Frequent Chill'er" stamp card lists 400 Hines Street, but they are actually parked in front of an abandoned building's huge parking lot off of Patton Street. Sure, it seems sketchy, and possibly a little dangerous, but there's a lot of traffic in that area because of the food truck, so it feels safe enough. Their shaved ice is pretty soft, and not too icy, which I like. I ordered the picadilly for the very first time. "What's a picadilly?" you might ask. It's basically your choice of flavor of shaved ice, topped with chopped dill pickles, sprinkled with a topping of your choice of flavor of Kool-Aid powder and chili powder. BAM! It was so freakin' good! I was very very very very VERY hesitant about ordering it at first because it just sounded...well, GROSS?? But because I love pickles so much, I ordered it after all. I had mine with the Tiger's Blood as my shaved ice flavor, topped with lemon-lime Kool-Aid powder. That lemon-lime gave my picadilly an extra kick of sourness which I thoroughly enjoyed! It made standing in the 100 degree weather much more bearable. It cooled us off and was so surprisingly delicious! So much so, that both my friend and I, the gluttons who we are, decided to buy another picadilly. In our defense, we both ordered small 12 ounce cups the first and second time around. This time, I got the tamarind flavored shaved ice with lemon-lime Kool-Aid. That sourness...! Mmm-mm-mmm! If you love sour stuff like I do, you'll love their picadilly, especially with the lemon-lime Kool-Aid powder. It was exceptional. As I mentioned earlier, they have a Frequent Chill'er card, which gives you one large shaved ice if you get ten stamps. Also, they take Visa and MasterCard, as long as it's more than $2. I will definitely be back for more picadilly sourness!

Obviously I get the picadilly. I'd you love sweet and savory. You will need to try this! Can't wait for summer to come back around.

Not that great! White spots throughout my snow cone with no flavor. Did not live up to the 4 star rating today:(

Hokulani Shave Ice is so good!…read more This amazing food truck specialized in authentic Hawaiian shave ice which is nothing like raspas, or whatever other shave ice version we are used to in San Antonio. Something key about them is that they use real fruit on their shave ice, which makes everything taste 10x better. Because of this, their menu is constantly changing according to fruits which are in season, but I can assure you that anything you order will be delicious. During our last visit, we got the strawberry shave ice with strawberry ice cream and it was super yummy. Highly recommend following them on Instagram so you can check out their schedule. They are always moving around the city and do pop-ups in different businesses or events. Last but not least, the owner is always super friendly which makes the overall experience so much better.

That said, warn ur kids that the lime and lemon are sour and not sweet like lemonade. We waited 45 min in 92F hot sun. 40 people were in line BEFORE it opened. I recommend trying on a weekday when it may not be so busy (fingers crossed). The shaved ice is not as fine like Matsumoto's, BUT they use all natural syrups. Someone also wished they carried mochi balls for a topping. Another recommended playing Hawaiian music outside while people waited ;) def a place to visit in the TX summer and def worth checking out instead of having to fly all the way to Hawaii!
