After a disappointing dinner we saw this place and the amount of people in line. Yes, lines.. They…read moremoved quietly, but I am so upset my camera wasnt working. The pastry and artisan work on the pastries is phemononial. The pastry is some of the best I have had throughout the MidEast. I just finished the last piece of Baklovah and I am mad at myself because I should have have bought more. Hubs has 3 scoops of Geleto. Heavenly Pistachio. I ate a 2 person piece of Cream Kunufa. It was a bit bland and needed Rose Water in the syrup; The Kunufa needed to be cooked a bit more. Too soft and the cream wasn't Iskta Cream. It was more rubbery. The place is gorgeous., however. Beautiful decor, excellent service and all waitstaff are so polite. With the amount of people, one who except a grump, not one there. Beautiful coffees, I should have not gotten a Lavender Vanilla Gelato. No, I needed the Kunufa. The one thing I didnt try was Turkish Delight. Houston's beat their in looks and selections, but not in pastries. The Pistachio pastry and Peach was out of this world gorgeous. So much talent. Somethings are very expensive and others are very reasonable. I would love to watch the artisans create the pastries. The are huge proportions and so realistic. We really enjoyed this stop. Houston, you needs this here. There is nothing close to compare too. The Woodlands would be great,as well. Again, the camera wasn't working.

All the pastries are ordered on the shelves just right. They offer baklava (although I don't see it on the menu), many flavors of tiramisu, crème brûlée, cookies, cinnamon rolls, Dubai chocolate in several iterations and many more pastries. Also serving pizza, salads and coffee drinks. Whew! I took home a Biscoff cinnamon roll. It's very large for about $9. I'll let you know if it was worth it. Go there.

This place gave me all the feels from an old school ice cream shop. So refreshing compared to modern day places. We went back a couple more times in the few days we stayed in San Antonio! This shop sells fudge, truffles, candied apples, and - what I came for - ice cream! They had a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from, a least a couple dozen. The smiling young woman working behind the ice cream counter offered to give tastes, but I had already figured out which flavors I wanted. I chose two scoops in a cup, one of Cappucino Chip and the other Turtle Cheesecake. They have several tables to sit at, some along a hallway and more in a back room. I took a seat and was in awe of the huge scoops given. The Cappuccino Chip had a mild flavor (I prefer it stronger) but a fair number of tiny chocolate chips. The Turtle Cheesecake had an excellent cheesecake flavor with swirls of caramel, praline pecans, and caramel-filled mini turtles. I'm usually not fond of nuts in my ice cream but I actually enjoyed the pralines. In my humble opinion, there were too few turtles. But I still loved it. If you're in the mood for a cold, creamy treat while visiting the Alamo, you'll find this to be the perfect place to visit.
