Just had a great experience at Pico Optometry. Found them on Yelp and went to have an exam as I lost my glasses a few days ago. Both Walter and Maiya were really, really great - professional but funny and easygoing. After helping me try on frames for about 30 minutes (involving popping out all of the lenses because I thought I couldn't see through the plastic and lots of info on options and what would look best on me), I decided on a pair, and Walter cut the lenses right on the spot because he knew I didn't have a backup pair. Also note that it was after the store had officially closed for the day. Stellar service, almost can't wait to go back! read more

Walter THANK YOU SO MUCH! A friend referred me to this place. Let me tell you, THEY ARE 1st CLASS! Walter is so professional and NICE! He made sure that everything was just right. You can't go wrong with Stanton Optical Co. I will be coming here again. read more

My wife and I have had our prescriptions filled here and we are very happy with the professional service we received. I referred my sister in law and mother in law for glasses as well. You can rest assured that you will be treated fairly at this establishment. Their prices are competitive and the glasses and frames are quality. read more

Hands down the best experience I've had in optometry. Maiya ,The doctor that examined me, was so nice, warm and caring. The doctors and staff here genuinely care about the well being of their patients. Dr. Walter Hoskin was so accommodating to my guest that was visiting me fro Out of state , whose had defeloped eye problems during her stay. Despite his busy schedule, Dr. Hoskin made her feel cared for and comfortable. My family and I have been coming here for years, and each experience gets better each time. I'm so grateful to have found Maiya and Walter and will never go to anyone else. read more

This review is for my visit at the end of April: I am the worst at scheduling appointments, because I never know when I am going to be available. I needed to get an eye exam quickly, as I had some free time, so called around my insurance network to see who might be available. Nobody was available that day. When I called Pico Optometry, she told me that I could come in right then, which was very helpful, as my insurance was about to run out soon! The eye exam was quick and short, but thorough and informative. I didn't wait long, and honestly didn't mind waiting, since they were sneaking me in last minute. However, the doctor apologized for making me wait, which is unheard of from a doctor! The best thing about Pico Optometry is the customer service from everyone I interacted with. I was having a bad day when I went in, and Kelly and Emmy really turned it around. They made honest, helpful suggestions on my glasses, and joked around with me like real humans, instead of customer service robots or other snooty optometrist office employees. Also, I was expecting to receive my glasses in a week or two, but I got them in a couple days! I went back in after a week to get them adjusted, and I left again with a smile on my face. UPDATE: I scratched my lenses after only a few months of wearing them. I have no idea how, since I am pretty careful with them. They are going to order them, and install them when they come in so I don't have to be without my glasses. Walter helped me, told me I had a warrantee on my lenses so it's not going to cost me a million dollars, and he was also a pleasure to talk to! read more

Just received my new glasses and it feels like I'm looking at a whole new world. Best glasses buying experience I've ever had. My glasses were ready the next day after I ordered them, I will definitely be returning for my next pair. read more

I drove from Long Beach to see Dr. Maiya Logan on a recommendation and am so glad that I did. She was able to describe in layman terms what was going on with my stigmatism! She is very thorough in her exam and did not "rush" me in and out as I have experienced in the past. Walter was there to help me choose a frame (since I suck at it)! I have gotten several compliments on the new pair of frames and actually like wearing my glasses! This is a drive I will do again, and actually, went up on a Sunday and there was no traffic so it worked out quite well. I definitely recommend Dr. Logan and the rest of the staff to anyone looking for an honest optical shop!! read more

Walter is an incredible optometrist and the service here is first class. I told them I wanted to purchase a pair of glasses for my partner in-store but keeping it within what my VSP would cover, and he helped steer us toward some frames that would make my wife happy, as well as not cost us anything out of pocket. I even told him I had my heart set on some Warby Parker frames and he did not try to change my mind or upsell me. He placed an order for my prescription lenses for my sunglasses and I was really happy with the service and the attention to detail. Walter really listens to you and wants to make sure you leave the store happy. Go Walter and the entire Pico Optometry staff!!!!! read more

I have used this place for many years and I could not be more satisfied. Once or twice I was do busy with tax deadline that they actually dropped off my glasses and contacts. Once I was trying a new type of frame.. about two weeks later I wanted to return to my previous style and they did not charge me for restocking, only the difference in prize. I really like that they have everything from less cost less known designer brands to great quality and known designer brands. Totally recommend this place read more

I've been with Walter for a few years now,and everytime I see him the experience is always great, The store has a wonderful selection of eyewear to choose from , also he's very keen and sensitive to all types of prescriptions, I've referred many friends to him and all of them had nothing but nice things to say. So check out the place, you maybe pleasantly surprised read more

Walter is great ! The service is remarkable I got the sexiest glasses and sunglasses. As well a glasses for my son.. I will continue to come here they are great and got my glasses in a timely manner. read more

Pico Optometry has a nice selection of frames, Walter was very helpful and informative in assisting us with glasses and insurance inquiries. For the bozos who leave negative reviews based on VSP hiccups, do your own research before shopping around, don't leave the deductible/eligibility questions to the physicians, it's not their fault you are clueless about your own insurance. Easy parking and comfortable office space make this a good choice for your eyewear needs. read more

I've been a client here for the last 10 yrs and I will not go anywhere else. Stan, Walter, Dr. Logan and the rest of the staff are amazing. They always treat me well and are extremely efficient. I highly recommend that you make an appointment at Pico Optometry. They are knowledgeable, experienced and always provide outstanding service. read more

The service at Stanton Optical was great!! I had two pairs of reading glasses that needed repair (the only two I have). Walter was very friendly and very fast. He was able to fix the one pair immediately. He fully explained the situation with the second pair, which needed more work (because I sat on them!), and they were repaired in less than 24 hours. Thank you Walter!! I definitely recommend Stanton Optical and will be going back to see Walter when I need an eye examination and upgraded glasses. read more

This is the best Optometry that I had ever had in my life. I give Water 10 stars instead of 5 stars. I had a complicated case that neither could see far not near and needed a contact lens that could help me to see far and be able to read at the same time. He found a solution for me. I am very satisfy with my new contact lens now. Walter is not only very professional but also very friendly, polite and honest man. I have an insurance that I thought my co-payment is $25. He checked and said no you have to pay me only $10. He gave me a free pack of solution. Ordered pack of contact lens for me which arrived in 2 days and said I don't have to pay for it. So for all his super job, pack of contact lens, box of solution, I paid $10. In past any Optometry I was going after using my insurance I had still a big bill in my hand. I strongly suggest Pico Optometry. read more

When it comes to glasses, I'm as picky as anything. Thanks to a very attentive and patient staff I was in an out of there in no time and left completely satisfied with my choices in glasses. If I had more than 2 thumbs, this place would get them. Thanks Dr Logan and Walter for making my day! Everyone loves me in my new glasses! read more

I had a 1st rate experience at Pico Optometry!!! The doctor that was on staff (Dr. Logan) is amazing! I've used several clinics in Los Angeles but Pico Optometry gave me the most accurate prescription to date. Dr Logan took the appropriate amount of time to ensure that the job was done right the first time! I feel as though my vision with my contacts and glasses is clearer than it has ever been! I found the staff to be great too! They answered any questions that I had with no hassle!!!! All of the prices were fair and my glasses came in early!!!! I will defiantly continue to use this clinic in the future and am happy to recommend them to anyone! read more

I loved it here! The front desk girl was really nice and helped me find the perfect frame at an affordable price! They eye exam was done fast and the doctor who did my exam was really funny! I would defiantly recommend this place to friends and family. read more

Stan has been in our lives for as long as I can remember and is absolutely wonderful -- funny, sincere, old school and thorough. Walter is a great addition to the team -- professional and smart and brilliant. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Logan for a contact lens exam and she was excellent and also a great human being. Why go anywhere else? No really? And they have a sense of humor! Very happy. All our family goes here. Would never go anywhere else. read more

I first came to this place when I destroyed my glasses and was pleasantly surprised when Walter repaired my glasses and at half the price others told me! Their prices and selection is very decent and they make the process as quick and painless as possible. I have used their services on several occasions, and dont have a single complaint, I would highly recommend. read more

Went in for my long overdue eye exam and it was great. They went to the trouble of researching to find a particular style of frames I was in love with! Dr. Maiya Logan who conducted my exam was awesome. I was in and out quickly. I would HIGHLY recommend them! read more

It's nice that in this day and age you still have businesses like Pico Optometry. My daughters frames broke and they replaced them for free. I will always remain loyal to this business as they value their customers. read more

i have been a patient of pico optometry (formerly stanton optometrix) for about 20 years. i have referred my family, friends and co-workers to them, all without incident. until today. dr. logan has re-written my prescription 3 times in 3 weeks. she was unable to provide me with lenses that i could actually see properly with. not only has this exercise been time-consuming, but very frustrating as i have made 6 trips to their office without a positive result. i should also mention my previous glasses did not hold the protective "coating" which had been placed on the lenses, therefore it wasso ... was very difficult to see out of them. when i pointed this fact out to walter, he told me the lenses were dirty, which was a not the truth. so ... i went to lenscrafters yesterday. i had to pay for my eyes to be re-tested, and for a new prescription + lenses. i asked the doctor if there was something wrong with the prescription dr. logan had issued and she said yes, the "axis" is off. i waited 1.5 hours (not 3 weeks) and finally received a pair of glasses that i could see perfectly with. perfectly. this morning i returned to pico optometry and met personally with the owner, stan. pico optometry has cost me $75 for the eye exam plus $149.00 for lenses that are of no use to me. absolutely no use whatsoever. i returned the lenses and an additional pair of frames. i thought at the very least pico optometry would replace the lenses in those frames with the new prescription from lenscrafters. but no. they flatly refused to do anything to help me. now, this situation is not my fault. i am out of pocket $224 and have nothing to show for this expensive adventure. by the way, the lenscrafters doctor told me that the coating was coming off my existing glasses, and that they were not scratched. this is robbery. i believe it is unethical and immoral to take $224 from anyone then expect them to lie down. they have literally stolen my money and my faith in them. if this is how they treat their customers who have loyally followed them for 20 years, how will they behave towards new clients? read more

Pico Optometry is a great place for professionalism and honesty. I when to another place to get new eyeglasses and after a few weeks I realized that my vision was still off. I was told it would take a little while to get used to my new glasses. But, after a few weeks I still could not see as well as before. So, I went to Pico Optometry where I met Walter. He gave me an exam only to discover not only was I given the wrong prescription but the other optometrist decided to also change me lenses. This chance made a great difference! Walter not only corrected my prescription he also, got me the right lenses and now I can see just great! Walter is the best ever!!!! read more

I recently went here for contacts. I saw Maiya Logan. She was absolutely amazing and helpful. I will forever use these guys. Pico optometry for life read more

I love Walter and the team at Stanton Optical. Whenever I go in there, they don't just help figure out what i want, they make it a great and amazing experience. They always make sure I am ecstatic when i leave the doors and always make sure I am beyond 100% satisfied with my contacts and/or glasses. I have worked with many opticians, but they are the best that I have seen. Even once when i called to report an eye issue, Walter telephoned me several days later to "check-in" on me and see if there was anything he could do. I love places that go above and beyond the call of duty...and this is one of the those places. They also have a great selection of the newest styles of glasses as well as a broad spectrum of options for all ages and types. If you need glasses and/or contacts, go to Stanton. read more

I was referred to this place by a friend and I was very impressed! Walter took such great care to make sure I got the best deal on my contacts. They were ready for pick up less than 2 days from when I ordered them! I plan to purchase my glasses from there next. Thanks again Walter for giving me the VIP treatment!!! read more

Absolutely phenomenal experience. I went in to get an eye exam, and I was so impressed. Great service, great guy, great prices. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Walter is the best. I broke my current glasses wrestling with my dog and snapped off both bows. My back-up frames are over 20 years old and one of the screw heads had sheared off, so they were held together with a paperclip. Walter is very cordial. He found frames that nearly fit my primary lenses. He spent about 5 minutes cutting down my lenses to fit the new frames. Then, he spent another 5, tapping out the sheared-off screw and fixing that pair. Finally, I forgot that I had insurance for that through my wife's work. My wife called Walter and he straightened everything out. All that cost me about $10. Highly recommended. read more

I have been going to Pico Optometry for many years, and am always happy with the service and glasses I get. The staff is always professional and courteous. Their selection of frames is great, and they always help me find the best look for me. In fact, I can honestly say that of the numerous pairs of glasses I've worn over the years, the only ones I've ever enjoyed wearing have come from Pico. I even live out of state now, and still, the last time I needed new glasses, I went there. I would gladly recommend them to anyone. read more

After almost over 15 years of having eye exams and glasses I never had a problem until I came to Pico Optometry. The 2 front desk girls are absolutely clueless yet talk like there experts. Dr. Logan seemed nice at first but she couldn't honestly care less about her patients. I had my eyes checked here 3 difference times yet I kept seeing blurring out of my glasses and I was getting bad head aches I went back in several times and each time they changed my Rx and suggested I keep trying to get used to the new lenses. After a month of going back and forth with different lenses I finally go feed up each time they made me feel like I was lying to doing something wrong so I went to a near by competitor. It turned out my Rx was wrong and my optical center was completely off which was why I was seeing blurry. Yet this placed failed to notice that my OC was off and so was my Rx. I hope that they read this review and change how they treat there patients and the whole place needs to be more professional from Dr. Logan to the front desk girls. Thanks to Hollywood vision for making me new lenses. I wasted a lot of gas, time, and money and never got reimbursed anything from them. Plus they tend to talk in front of patients negatively or they walk behind the wall to talk about patients. They also talk in Spanish a lot about patients in front of them so word to the wise at Pico Optometry I understood everything you were saying about me and your other patients and your bosses, please be more professional. It's sad I had to take the time to write a review but I think yelp reviewers and your owner should know. read more
