We bought a couch at the pottery barn outlet last Sunday and since then (over a week later) we've been given false hope, poor customer service and a lack of any communication/reason why our couch is not being delivered. The company has one job and that is to pick up and deliver furniture. It's ridiculous that no one at the company is doing anything to get this problem solved ASAP. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, despite the appeal of them delivering large items from Homegoods. Three reasons: 1. Chaos. They use contract delivery drivers they cannot control. They do not know where they are (no gps tracking) and they do not when they will arrive. I needed to make 4 appointments--three of which they missed entirely. Worse yet, a large item was missing when they finally arrived in an old, open-bed pickup truck without any markings on it . I now am waiting for a third delivery attempt today (4 days late). 2. They do not stand behind their mistakes. They blamed the missing item on Homegoods not having it in the right spot for pickup. Yet, they knew they were only delivering 11 or 12 items on the delivery order. They then tried to charge me for a second delivery attempt, which ultimately they offered to do for free. However, it never happened. 3. The Pick Up supervisor refused to refund even a portion of my $279 for the delivery...even though the delivery was incomplete--referring me to their website saying that "delivery times are subject to change." They should also add "may never happen at all and we'll take your money anyway. Next stop...credit card dispute. I usually write 5-star reviews. They ended up needing to reschedule due to the holidays, which was acceptable until they ran into the same issue on April 10th with no available drivers. They told me it was because of my slim delivery window, which is after 6:00 because I work in healthcare and cannot take the time off, and neither can my partner. They rescheduled for 4/11 however, sent a text saying they needed to reschedule again with the next open window for delivery was 4/17. I canceled the order with Big Lots after reading reviews of other people who had ongoing issues with Pickup. This was terrible service. We wanted them to pick up two recliners from Home Goods and deliver them to our home. We were given a 4 hour window for delivery. Two hours in we received a "delay" notification that said they would "try" to deliver by the end of the day. Since we could not wait that long, we rescheduled for the next day only to have the exact same thing happen. We canceled the delivery. I truly had an amazing pickup/delivery service today. These guys did a last minute job today and it meant the world to me. I needed to get my mom into a senior living facility on an emergency basis and needed her new furniture picked up and delivered from Ashley Homestore. It was a last minute reservation and they knew of my mom and my situation and they not only got the furniture they set it all up for her in 45 minutes (and this wasn't Ikea.) DO NOT RECOMMEND! After purchasing a couch from World Market in Viera, FL we were told there was an agreement with PICKUP for in home delivery. World Market has displays all over the store and cards laying out near the furniture. After purchasing on Saturday 4/1, we used the QR Code, received a quote for $101 for delivery of our couch 3 miles from the store the next day with a 2-6pm delivery window. That was the last communication we have ever heard. No number to call to follow up ( Pickup is closed Sundays). Today have made 3 phone calls to speak to someone. First time on hold 20 minutes and was disconnected. 2nd call, finally spoke to an agent (Daniel) after on hold 10 minutes...only to be disconnected again. 3rd call...on hold now 27 minutes. I am putting a fraud alert on this $101 charge and contacting World Market store manager. Should have done more research. read more

I've used "Pickup Now" several times over the years and have always been happy with the movers and the pricing, but this particular time, I was not. I had a 10X14 rug that weighs about 50-60 pounds. I needed it picked up at the store and delivered 5 mile away, to a storage unit, no stairs. I thought it would be a one man job, but they said it was a 2 man job. Instead of the initial $60, it cost $100. They used a pickup truck, to move it. You can't even find rugs on their menu, website. I'll definitely reconsider using this guys in the future. read more

Rated 1 out of 5 stars Pickup Saga Part 3 and Final - Stay very far away! My experience is in New York Metro area. Well, my final review of Pickup Now. (Number 3 and it just keeps getting worse). I think it should be called Pickup Never. So, on the 4th reschedule date I was finally called by a very nice driver. I was originally told by customer service (Joanna) that she would reschedule the delivery between 6 and 7. I received the text confirmation and it said 6 to 10. I really wanted the merchandise so I said nothing. After receiving the driver's call, I received a few hours later a text from Pickup stating my delivery would be delayed or have to be rescheduled. That would be the 5th reschedule. At this point I was in tears. I reached out to the driver and he said he was still delivering but was now concerned that he wouldn't make it to the store in time to get my stuff before they closed. At this point I knew he'd never get to my home before 10 pm because he told me he had other deliveries before mine. So, after everything they put me through, and being told that management was involved to assure my delivery (lie), the best Pickup could do apparently was to have my delivery be likely the LAST delivery as well as very late tonight. I thought after 10, when promised before 7, was late. It apparently never occurred to Pickup that perhaps after what they put me through, I should be first on the list. Nope, clearly not. I reached out again to customer service (a nice rep named Wesley who actually was the first person at Pickup or At Home who actually cared and tried to help). Oh, I got a call earlier from Austin, who was going to handle my situation "personally" (lie), After Wesley kept trying to help, but he finally said he was directed that the only thing Pickup could do was to "open a ticket," I finally got smart enough to cancel the delivery and the order from At Home. I won't be shopping there again (they did nothing to help either but say I'm sorry a lot and refund the delivery). Moral of the story - if you shop at a store that uses Pickup Now, you may never see your merchandise. Their systems don't work, their customer service reps (except Wesley) don't care and their Management lies. I do feel badly for the driver. He rushed to try to get my stuff but I didn't even know if it would still be in stock since Pickup delayed delivery for 5 days from the date of my order. Stay away. Stay very far away. read more

I paid for drop off service for a large dresser, the time was scheduled for 6 to 10pm as I work. Driver calls in the afternoon, they will there in 15 minutes. I advised that I am at work. That is why I needed a later delivery. What am I to do, They said can they leave it, I am screwed as I need it, they left this large piece in my lobby. Now I have paid them for door delivery and it is sitting in my lobby, and they refuse to come back. This is a large piece to get into an elevator. Last weekend I purchased a living room couch and ottoman set from Big Lots! Apparently they partner up with PICKUP for deliveries - a company I have never heard of or experienced working with. I scheduled a next day delivery and thought wow, I would be impressed if I can order an item online and have it arrive the next day. The next day I planned to stay home to wait for my delivery. PICKUP called in the morning confirming that they would be arriving that day. By afternoon, I received a call that they would not be able to delivery due to delays. On this first day I thought ok, that's ok since I understand there are delays. Then the same thing happened on day 2 and day 3. With the holidays being this week, I finally just rescheduled my delivery until next week since I am not waiting around over my weekend. When I spoke to customer service on day 3, they mentioned that delivery windows are not guaranteed and the issue up until now is that no driver will accept my order. WHAT THE HECK! I've had deliveries from plenty of other retail stores and have never experienced something like this. What is the point of scheduling a delivery if it's not going to happen? I work from home so it's easier for me to be home for these types of things - but what about people who have to be out at work all day and modify their schedules to be home and this happens? I am appalled at how this company runs - I feel like it's like a DoorDash / Uber for your large deliveries but no one wants to pick up? The issue is not waiting for my order - I don't mind scheduling a delivery time 1 - 2 weeks out if it means it will be delivered. I'm sick of talking to the PICKUP customer service people everyday so far this week and all they can tell you is they are sorry but absolutely provide no solutions. Update: After asking the chat to have a manager reach out, they were able to schedule me for the next day in the window I needed. Overall, I am still really not happy with the way they over book themselves and leave it to the customer to have to escalate, but I was very impressed by the representative, Austin, who finally helped me get what I needed done. He was incredible. His communication, follow up, and understanding of my priorities was phenomenal customer service, and then he went to work and got it down. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with him, despite the overall company culture that lead to the issue in the first place. I scheduled a pick up for the next day with a 10am - 2pm window. When I hadn't heard from anyone by 10:30am I contacted the chat and phone lines to see where we stood. I had my grandfather staying with me unexpectedly and needed the furniture that day, and specifically said that I would find a different service if they were unable to deliver today because I was not able to wait. I have a young child in school, so I would not be able try and navigate moving this myself if they failed, as she would be home. I was told it would happen, they would call the drivers, etc. I called again at 12:30pm when I still hadn't heard, and a customer service rep, Eric, was assigned to text me updates. I followed up with him again at 2:15pm AND 3:15pm, and finally got a response at 4:45pm that they wouldn't be able to complete my delivery until MONDAY. This is absurd. I can understand being busy, but the fact that they left me on the hook all day, then just dumped that on me tells me they are either no equipped to actually serve their customers, or they are a scam. I would not recommend using this company. They lack a robust customer service communication capability, and will lie to you rather than allow you to make an informed decision. read more

Got a text on Saturday, 4/17 to have delivery of my furniture scheduled between 10am-2pm on Friday, 4/23. Great, took off work and waited at home. At 1pm I got a call saying they are short people and were never coming to my area that day. Not acceptable, they knew a week in advance this was on the schedule. But you know what, I get it, things happen so it was rescheduled for Monday, 4/26 between 10am-2pm. On 4/26, no call as of 12:30pm so I reach out...."When I look at your order me not being a dispatch agent I show that your order needs to be rescheduled for 04/28 or after". So now I took a wasted day off and my wife took a wasted day off and yet again we need to do the same for a possible new delivery date?? Nah, not good enough. So now I get a call promising that they can deliver on Tuesday, 4/27 between 2-6pm. Waiting around all day, yet again having to leave work. I contact the Chat service around 4:30pm and get a call back at 5pm stating they are at the store now picking it up and should be down within 1-2 hours since they were backed up. OK great, wasted my day, but finally getting the furniture right? Wrong...wrong, I sat around and contacted chat and called multiple times to be told at 8:30pm that they never picked up my furniture and now wouldn't be able to deliver until Thursday, 4/29 (sometime during the day, no appt window). No, I'm not taking yet another day off work to wait for furniture that should have been here. So it's moved to Saturday, May 1st (all day window again). Anyone want to contact me and take bets on if it shows up? If you buy from a company that uses them, cancel it and go somewhere else. This is the absolute worst business ever. I purchased a dresser on Friday and it said it was same day delivery it was around 12 the website said if it was after 2 then it would be the next day. I understood and just was excited that it was coming on Saturday had someone wasted their day and no one came and finally got a call around 5 saying that I had to wait till Monday and to pick a time frame . I was very upset but I still told them it's ok and brushed it off and I told them 10-12 would be fine. Monday comes around and the contact me around 1130 and day they can't do it in the time frame that i would have to choose a different day since I couldn't be home that day I was upset and told them fine I'll get off work and wait and the guy I spoke said ok it should be delivered today . I got off 5 hours early from my job just for them to call me around 7 pm and tell me that they can't deliver it that day and I could get only $50 dollars back . At this point I am beyond upset and let them know I no longer wanted to talk to an associate that I wanted to talk to someone higher and they said they couldn't because it was late and I let them know that someone had to call me cause it was super unprofessional of them. The lady then told me she would schedule me for Tuesday in the morning so they can deliver it first thing between 10-12 . I get a text and a call today saying they can't deliver it again because of the time frame I was so ready to cancel my order but one of the supervisors told me they would try to deliver it for when I got off work after 5. Then a rude guy calls me and says sorry we won't be able to deliver till Thursday. I canceled my order because everyday all they gave me was a headache from all of their lies because one of their agents said it was no guarantee I would get my order on Thursday or on any day at that . But they want to pride them selves as same day deliver. I can't believe the unprofessional attitude and the way they treat their customer.
