Full disclosure (and a spoiler alert) I ended up cancelling this service for all the reasons outlined below, so this review is based on my customer service experience, not the actual delivery. I purchased a sofa from HomeSense and reluctantly ($101 delivery fee for a $800 sofa) signed up for PickUp because it seemed the easiest and fastest way to get my sofa to me. To my delight, there were same day delivery times available. I picked the 6-10 pm, time slot, knowing that we would for sure be home during that time. I have poor phone service in my office, but texts work just fine. I received a text from Crystal asking me to text back to confirm my delivery, which I promptly did. At some point over the next 4 hours I received a couple of voicemails asking me to confirm, so I called the number back and they said, we have no record of anyone calling you. The person on the other end of the phone asked for the number that called and could not comprehend that it was literally the number at which I was calling her. She was very rude, I didn't get her name and was very dismissive. Sure enough, I get a third call from this number saying that they need to reschedule because they were unable to reach me to confirm. What the??? So I finally get someone on the phone who is not at all apologetic, the tone was more like "yeah, we are doing the best we can". I can understand this if the delivery was free from the company where I purchased the sofa, but this is service that I ordered and am paying for. We reschedule for 2 days later (first available time) and I ask him if he can guarantee this delivery as I will be taking off from work to be there. He said that he could not guarantee, but that they would do their best. What the???? So now I am frustrated and whining to a friend who happens to have a pickup truck and said he would help me. Wouldn't you know, the best customer service experience I had with this company was when I cancelled the order. I recommend NOT using this company unless you are in no rush to get your stuff and/or have all the time in the world to wait and see what happens. read more

I hired PICKUP to deliver a large painting from Homegoods Plano to Dallas. The rate was $130.00. Expensive, but I accepted the rate for the convenience factor, as PICKUP is the delivery partner for Homegoods and everything was arranged in-store. All paperwork was completed in-store with the associate and manager signing the home delivery form stating that the piece showed no damage upon purchase. The painting was damaged during the delivery process. I submitted a damage claim with PICKUP, including photos of the painting in-store before delivery, then in the residence after delivery, that very clearly show the damage was not present pre-loading. I also provided photos of the delivery form that shows no damage at time of purchase. PICKUP denied the claim stating that the damage was pre-existing. The driver was also provided a copy of the delivery form and DID NOT note any damages on the form upon delivery. Photos attached that clearly tell the story. Never again will I utilize this delivery service. Zero accountability. They've done nothing but deny and push me off to HomeGoods stating that this is the store's responsibility. I used this service to get something from big lots and the delivery person delivered my items to the wrong address. I called them and emailed them several times to no avail. The first time I called they seemed very helpful but after that it seemed like they just didn't give a damn. I wanted a refund or my items to be shipped again but nobody ever got back to me. I contacted Big Lots about the issue and they said I HAD to take it up with Pickup. So after countless times of trying to contact them with no reply, I gave up. I'm truly disappointed. If I could give 0 stars that's not even low enough. DO NOT use this service for furniture delivery. I have been rescheduled twice already and my guess is that there still won't be a "delivery pro" available for my next "scheduled" delivery time. There is also 0 communication unless initiated by the customer. That's just completely unacceptable. Ignoring the customer and just leaving them hanging is not a great business model. They are also completely unapologetic. Just the same statements over and over. You don't even get rescheduled for the following day. It's several days later, and with not even a hint that you will be refunded, discounted, or anything. Stay far, far away from Pickup. I should have checked the reviews beforehand. read more

Took the whole day off work waiting for them to bring my furniture and they called at 4:15 pm to tell me they weren't bringing it and the next available time would hopefully be sometime next week...IF they had a driver then. Update: Pickup really redeemed itself! Once I was able to reach the success supervisor, he was really apologetic and explained that his team had been confused and given some misinformation. They rescheduled quickly and covered the moving cost for my trouble. The movers were FANTASTIC. They were very careful with my Peloton, removing and reattaching the monitor. They were even really nice to my dog, who kept pushing a stuffed animal at them while they helped me calibrate the bike! Original post: scheduled a time for the "good guys" to pick up and deliver a used Peloton. They didn't look at my order until pickup time, which is apparently SOP. Then they called to tell me they don't move Pelotons, even though they are well under their weight limit. I even offered to remove and transport the monitor. Pickup left me COMPLETELY in a lurch. Awful customer service, awful communication, awful everything. We booked furniture to be picked up at Homegoods btw 6-10pm. They never let us know they would not be able to make it. Around 8pm, we get a text saying it is "delayed." I tried to call them, but their phone hours are closed, I tried to get in their support chat and was stuck in there for two hours. I try to get a hold of someone this morning. They don't even apologize or try to get someone out there this morning. They do absolutely nothing. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS SERVICE. Terrible overall service. My arm chair was scheduled to be delivered between 2-6pm, at 5pm I finally reached out to the company and was told that there were drivers assigned and that it would be on time. At 6pm I called again when they told me it would now be delayed and dispatch would call me within 15 mins with an update. 1 hour later (and no call back) I called again when they finally told me that they would need to reschedule, giving me no reason for the delay. I was told I would be the "priority" for the next day's schedule. Well, the next day I get zero update on my delivery once again. After I call to speak with a supervisor, I'm now informed that my building needs to fill out an elevator/insurance form (which was not mentioned during scheduling or the previous 5-6 calls I had made to them) and that my delivery would be put on hold until that was completed. What a huge waste of my time and money. I highly recommend NOT using this service and trying something like Dolly instead. Can't count on them We were out of town and came into town specifically to move. They were scheduled and I gave very clear time frames as to when and where pick up and delivery had to be done because the donation site closed at 5:30. The scheduler indicated in the notes that it could not be rescheduled because we were coming into town. When I first called to confirm on the pick up day, I was told I needed to wait until my window had opened. I called back only to be told they could not make the pick up and delivery time frame and needed to reschedule. There was no way we could. We were moving out of the unit. So at 4:30 PM, the day before everything was scheduled to be out of the house, they can't make it. Poor, Poor service and planning. read more

PickUp it self has poor communication with the customers via the Dispatchers but the actual delivery driver are awesome and very responsive. I placed 2 deliveries (store delivery and resident delivery) and received Good Guy as my delivery company which Dan and his team is phenomenal. I never write reviews, but this was such a frustrating experience that I felt like I had to. Where to start? I ordered a sectional from BIG LOTS, and selected same day delivery. On my first delivery, the delivery window was between 8am and 8pm. The drivers didn't actually show up until close to 10pm. When they did, it was two small girls, so I had to help carry the couch. They couldn't fit it into the elevator, which isn't their fault, but couldn't even try to get it up the stairs because they couldn't carry it. When they brought the couch back the next day (because the store had closed by the time they got to me), the driver couldn't find the receipt and didn't think to have them email me a copy, which almost cost me a significant amount. Fortunately, she eventually found it in her truck. When I ordered a replacement, I got the same delivery girls, who texted me from the store letting me know that they didn't think it would fit (even though I had measured and knew it would). When I told her that, she challenged me telling me she was "100% sure it won't fit," then stopped answering my texts or calls. On the third call, she picked up and let me know she had canceled the pickup, and that someone should be reaching out to reschedule. No one reached out, so I had to call to reschedule. I rescheduled on a Thursday for the following Monday, then got a text the following morning (Friday) that my driver was on the way. It was the same driver as the last time, even though I had specifically asked for new ones. She said she was on her way, then after I rearranged my schedule, eventually showed up three hours later. Fortunately, they brought another person with them this time and we were able to get the couch into my apartment. Throughout the entire process, I continued to work with Customer Support and ask if there was anything they could do to improve my experience, and was told every time that they would pass along my note to a manager. Seeing that every time I talked to someone, I had to re-explain what had happened, and even though "a note was made for dispatch," I still got the wrong team on the wrong day when it was finally delivered, I can safely assume that talking to Customer Support did nothing and went nowhere. I'm very happy this experience is finally over, and hopefully I never have to deal with this service again read more

When my item was finally set for delivery, it went well but my delivery was actually scheduled for first thing yesterday morning and the only feedback I received was when I reached out to find out what happened. I purchased a mattress and box springs and paid an additional $100 for delivery which was scheduled for last Saturday between 9am-9pm. I was told by the sales associate it was scheduled for that day and it printed the delivery for Saturday confirmation on my paperwork. I removed our old mattress and box springs Saturday morning. My spouse has had 7 spine surgeries so he couldn't help. 7pm comes around and Ianxious so I called. The rep was very rude and said it was scheduled for Sunday. When I explained I had THEIR confirmation for Saturday she basically called me a liar. She said she called drivers to see if they would be available but none where. So Saturday night my husband who has had 7 spine surgeries had a sleepless night on the couch. Sunday rolls around and I receive a message from PICKUP stating I would receive my items that day. At 3pm I received another message stating they had delays. At 5:30 pm they sent a text saying the drivers had arrived to pick my order up and would be here soon. At 7pm They had not showed up. I called the store and asked what the hold up was. The manager said the delivery drivers (PICKUP) had not arrived yet but I should still get my order same day since the window is until 9pm. I then called PICKUP again. Again I was treated rudely and unprofessional. The woman said that they had delays earlier in the day that put them behind. When I explained the text saying they had arrived at store at 5:30 and I had called tge store and they had NOT shown up yet. She placed me on hold then 5 minutes later cones back on the line to tell me that they would be delivered Monday. This is after I explained our old mattress was disposed of and my husband's multiple back surgeries. I canceled tge delivery and have to drive 25 miles back to the store to ge refunded. For 4 and a half hours I was promised that the item would arrive that date by several different people the item never arrived. The store also reached out and received the same lie. However, the online setup needs some extra options. I purchased a sleeper sofa which I know is super heavy. However, when scheduling the pickup/delivery to get the price quote, a sleeper was not an option. After they had picked up from the store, I got a call stating it was going to be an extra 40$. I hardly ever leave reviews but this was a doozy. If you use this service you will likely not see your items. I paid to have a TV and Bedframe delivered and when i made the purchase on Sunday it was scheduled to be delivered on that Tuesday between 9am and 8pm. Large window of time but not a big deal as they said i would receive a call 30 minutes before the "good guy" would pick it up so even if i was running an errand in town, i could get home to receive the delivery. The whole day passed and at about 6pm i received a call that they were "unable to find a delivery driver for that day" and the delivery was scheduled for the following Saturday between 10am and 12pm. Saturday came, 10am-12pm passed no word or delivery. Finally at 6pm that night AFTER i reached out by emailing customer service, they called again to reschedule, this time for Tuesday between 10-12pm again. I had to leave town that next day, Sunday, and at about 10am i receive a call that my delivery driver was at the store. I explained the situation, that no one would be there to receive the delivery and it had been rescheduled for the second time, for Tuesday (a week after it was initially scheduled to be delivered). I was told that was fine, and that same driver would pick up My items and deliver them Tuesday. Tuesday came. 10am-12pm window came and went. All I got was a text from the company that gave me a link that said they would let me know when my order had been assigned and then gave a delivery location OF A TOWN IN PENNSYLVANIA. I LIVE IN NC. double checked my address where i ordered from and it was correct. Then within an hour i got 2 texts saying my "delivery was complete" (it wasn't) and it gave me the opportunity to "reward your Good guy(s) for their excellent service!" and provided a link to tip them. Finally I ended up calling the store i ordered from to see if at this point I could just come get my tv and bed frame myself and thankfully they said yes but that I would have to come that same day because the "order was overdue" and if I didn't they would sell my items to someone else. Worst "service" I have ever experienced. I paid for a crib assembly through Buy Buy Baby. Scheduled a week in advance. They never showed up for their ridiculous 4 hour window and they just keep rescheduling or extending their window with no real explanations or anything more than "too bad". So far I've been "scheduled" three times and all were no shows; 16 hours of my time wasted so far with no end in site. So really they've just stolen my money (and time) and will not provide any service. I've genuinely never had a worse experience with any other company and I used to have Time Warner Cable so that's saying something. I sat through 5 delivery windows only to get blown off each time. Those delivery windows are 4 hours long so for those of you math junkies out there, that's 20 hours waiting. I totally understand that covid has thrown a wrench into everything, but this is just total negligence. The worst part is, they didn't tell me they canceled, I had to call them, wait on hold for hours only for them to then tell me it was canceled. On the 5th time canceling a driver did call, only to tell me that going up three flights of stairs wasn't worth his time so he was going to cancel the delivery so another driver would do it the next day. After I finally got a hold of a customer service representative and told them I needed a refund so I could make other, more responsible arrangements, they sent me an email that said "despite our best efforts to get you your delivery you canceled." This was your best effort?!?! What do your worst efforts look like? Do you walk into somebody's house and take a dump on the carpet? Are those your worst efforts? Thank you for your best efforts in that case. Thank goodness this was only a couch getting delivered and not something important. Can you imagine if this company was in charge of supply chain logistics for the covid vaccine? "Well despite our best efforts of showing up to your house and coughing directly into your mouth, you didn't get the vaccine, your bad." Here's the problem: this company doesn't employ their own drivers. They are just a hub of independent drivers so there is no accountability and no care if the job gets done well or even gets done at all. I'm actually glad that they didn't deliver my couch, I can only imagine the care and best effort it would have been delivered with. Bottom line, don't use this company. This was terrible service. We wanted them to pick up two recliners from Home Goods and deliver them to our home. We were given a 4 hour window for delivery. Two hours in we received a "delay" notification that said they would "try" to deliver by the end of the day. They ended up needing to reschedule due to the holidays, which was acceptable until they ran into the same issue on April 10th with no available drivers. They told me it was because of my slim delivery window, which is after 6:00 because I work in healthcare and cannot take the time off, and neither can my partner. They rescheduled for 4/11 however, sent a text saying they needed to reschedule again with the next open window for delivery was 4/17. I canceled the order with Big Lots after reading reviews of other people who had ongoing issues with Pickup.
