This MM has been rapidly declining recently. While it never compared to the Whitefish Bay Sendik's, the prices are generally lower, so I would shop for the bulk of my groceries there (but also the Aldi literally right behind it, and Sendik's). My most recent experiences there, the last two days, illustrate their decline. A sure sign of poor management is how the products are stocked and maintained. As you can see from the photos, the refrigerated section where the lunch meats, hot dogs and bacon are kept is an absolute disaster. If I was a rep from Carl Buddig I would be apoplectic seeing my product buried under hot dogs and my competitor's lunch meats. You almost wouldn't know they were there. Same for so many other displays. I've seen products stocked backwards so you don't even know what it is. As you can see from the photo, they even stock product with the name/words upside down. The frozen pizza section looks like the boxes were thrown in the display. This occurs in sections throughout the store. And the deli case is missing many of the store brand meats, leaving only the more expensive Dietz and Watson brand available. Funny how the D&W products are fully stocked. This was not a one day occurrence, this was two days in a row. Plenty of time for the store manager or assistant manager to spot this and fix it. If a store manager is daily, at least once a day, walking the store to check for proper presentation, they obviously don't care about customers' perceptions. When I went to check out at the west side self checkout, three of the six stations had the "distress" lights flashing, which normally happens when a customer has a problem checking out. Only there were no customers at those stations. There was an employee there, but she was making no effort to clear whatever problems there were with the machines. My guess is they're still flashing now. How does a store manager not see these problems? Or do they see them and ignore them. I'm thinking the latter. And the most concerning thing is that these problems are what we customers can see. What may be happening behind the scenes could possibly be worse. Fix this, Kroger. Fix it fast. New management is in order.

It's small but nice variety. we started going to the store late 2021 and have seen none of the issues that have been reviewed.

It's…read morea multilevel space with plenty of seating options, both outdoors and on the mezzanine floors. Definitely not your typical grocery store! The main level is packed with grocery options and an impressive variety of hot food stations, including burritos, noodles, pizza, salads, and more. The bakery looks fantastic too! One thing I would have loved to see is an Indian food hot bar. Given the location and surrounding community, I think it would be a huge hit! On the top floor is their restaurant, Tudi's. Our server mentioned that the pasta is freshly made in-house, which sounded promising. We ordered the beer-dipped mozzarella, veggie flatbread, and ravioli. The food was decent, but honestly, nothing really wowed us. Everything was fine, just not particularly memorable. One suggestion for Tudi's would be to offer complimentary bread when guests are seated. If they're going for an Italian restaurant vibe, a little bread service would be a nice touch and make the experience feel more authentic and welcoming. Overall, I love the concept of this massive Sendik's! There's so much to explore, and it's definitely worth checking out. While the grocery side is impressive, I think Tudi's still has some room to elevate its dining experience.

This location is two stories and includes a coffee bar, gift shop, boutique shopping, and a restaurant & bar. I love that they carry local Wisconsin items such as my favorite pasta, Dalla Terra. They have a very nice deli and hot bar and this place has so far been bustling. The grocery prices here are definitely higher than others I've been to. For example: two organic bell peppers are $6.99! One lesson I've learned so far is to not go during 12-1 on a weekday during the school year. It seems like most of the high school kids who get an off-campus lunch go to Sendiks to eat and it's pretty chaotic.

First time here. I was attending a Yelp Event…read more I was super impressed with the store. I checked and there are lots of stores in the Chicago area but this appears to be the first in the Milwaukee area. It's a interesting concept. Everything is frozen, including meats, fish, vegetables and meals. There is a large selection of interesting, or what might be considered exotic foods. You can get cuts of Elk, Bison, and Venison. They have organ meats and oxtails. They have a large selection of shrimp, and some that are so big that you might mistake them for lobster. For many of the items, there are plenty of choices. For example there is not just one salmon or shrimp selection. They have at least 12 different types to choose from. For different locations, different types, different, and different types of production standards (organic, non-gmo, pasture raised, etc) The store is well organized. All of the standing freezers or wall units are neatly packed and well labeled. Pricing is easy to discern. It's easy to shop and find what you are looking for. I found the help to all be helpful, and friendly. The staff at the registers were patient, and chatty. I bought a couple of items, and looking forward to cooking up the pasture raised chicken (breasts) and the Gulf Coast shrimp. This is not my side of town, so it's a little out of my way. However, they explained that for $29 you can get a year of free deliveries. That's a great deal!

The improvement in both customer service and merchandising has been great. Excellent service at the butcher counter, the pharmacy and at check out. And the cheese "shop" is great, plus a surprisingly good wine shop for a grocer - the small "global" shelf is especially good. I feel lucky to have this Metro Market as our every day shopping spot.

Date of visit: December 14, 2025…read more I haven't been in this location in years, as this just isn't a part of town that I get to all that much but I was down the street at Colectivo with some friends and needed a couple items, so it made sense to pop down here to snag them. I either forgot or didn't realize that all of the traditional "grocery" items--those things you would find in the middle of the store at most grocers--are actually upstairs, with the lower level all of the more specialty items, though it was nice to walk through these other areas and fully appreciate that this is a bit of an upscale store; a true Metro Market as opposed to the one near me in Glendale that is a Pick N Save with a new sign. Once I headed upstairs I was able to find all of the things that I needed and even perused the Clearance section. This level was definitely in rougher shape than the fancy lower level, though it was also busier so that makes sense though I was expecting a bit more given that this is supposed to be a higher caliber of store. All in all, it gets the job done, but not really something that I would go out of my way to return to in the future.

Aldi in Glendale provides a decent and somewhat rewarding shopping experience…read more The upsides are the prices and the store layout. Its easy to find what you're looking for - as long as they have it in stock. The downside is the required speed at which the cashier is expected to scan your items. They are expected to scan up to 1200 items per hour or up to 50 items per minute. Aldi uses a performance metric which specifically rates cashiers efficiency - specifically the speed at which one transaction concludes and the next one commences. So why, in my opinion, is this considered a downside? It's because when I shop at Aldi's, I carry my own bag and do not use a cart. At checkout, the cashier will not place my purchased items in my opened bag as they are being scanned - placing them instead in the cart which speeds the process up but is inconvenient because I then have to remove them from the cart and put them into the opened bag - which is already IN the cart - all while the person behind me has to wait until the cart has been emptied so they can use it. Will this stop me from shopping at Aldi's? Certainly not. It's a minor inconvenience. The positives vastly outweigh the negatives. Something else worth mentioning - their fruit quality is hit-or-miss. Sometimes its fabulous and sometimes its not, especially the pre-bagged produce. Again, this will not keep me from the store.

Here's the thing I'll vouch for Aldi all day long. Love it, love the prices, love their standards,…read morelove their random isle of specials and home goodies. But hot dang this location needs more staffing. It's our usual location, so we're weekly visitors, and everytime we're there the line for checkout is sprawling down the isles. It feels rare more than one register is open. But staff themselves? Soo nice, just nowhere near enough of them. Consider this my plea. As for the store itself, this one is up to date, always very well-kept, and fully stocked!

How did I get here? How do I get out of here? It's a TRAP! It's easy to get in but once you are in captivity you are stuck in a maze to get out.. long lines narrow aisles tricks to keep you grazing and hunting for what you originally came for. The lines seem to be common mostly at Pick n Save stores shopping is not a pleasure here, although I had some nice conversations while waiting in line with a few of the nice customers. The store seems about average. I was lucky enough to have only 2 products and was able to bring my cash purchase up to the photo desk and was able to get in and out pretty quick. The liquor store next door seem to have a shorter line but had its own separate door to get into that store. I've seen worse lines like this in Miami, those locals are use to government owned stores in Cuba. Where they may wait 3 hours or more just to buy or get into a ice cream shop. My limit is 15 minutes. I cannot support a store that don't value my time. I would rather have all my teeth pulled out angrily then pushed back into my head without anesthesia. Than to ever return to this store in the future. I understand managing payroll but this is crazy! This can not continue just because you have no direct competition in the area.
