Wow, what a great place to find a wide variety of meats, seafood, frozen side, dishes, and other tasty fare. Most everything is frozen, however, you can tell it's very fresh and flavorful. The staff was totally welcoming, and very polite. Prices are reasonable, considering the state of the economy right now. Definitely this will be my place to shop for meat and seafood. Plenty a lot parking.

I've always just passed this place by... I mean, it's all frozen, and who needs frozen meat when you can get fresh ones? Well! No one. BUT! This place has a ton of options that I can't find elsewhere! Including, but not limited to: pork hocks, picanha, whole baby pigs, aged meats, wagyu, ostrich, venison, quail, veal, turbot, goose, pheasant! Can't agree with their slogan "frozen is fresher", but happily overwhelmed by the selection!

I thought this was a restaurant until a friend told me it was. Great choices of farmed meats without additives. Also seafood, salmon and sushi grade fish. All frozen so plan ahead. Also, uncured sausages that include knackwurst and blood sausage. Some convenience foods too The store is clean and well organized and much easier to navigate than the typical butcher shop. So many choices. Great service as well. Prices are very reasonable for the high quality meats and fish they have. Will definitely be shopping here.

Great selection of specialty cuts of meats, sausages , fish and other foods. Prices are fair considering what they have.

Some of the more exotic cuts I saw were ostrich, veal, bison, a5 wagyu, varieties of lobster tails, picanhas, beef cheek, beef tongue, whole suckling pig and much more.

Date of visit: August 3, 2024…read more We gathered here with some neighbors as a friend had said that she knows the owners and they are lovely people and the food was good. It was overall a mixed experience. Food: I had the BBQ Short Rib (R3 on the menu) and while it was flavorful with the rice, the meat was extremely tough (especially with just the butter knife I had to cut) and fatty. The portion size was a bit small for the price as well. Other items on the menu seemed to be a much better value in terms of food volume and cost. Service: Attentive at first, but then nonexistent. We were so busy talking that we didn't know what we wanted and finally all settled on items. It took two staff members to take the order due to some language barriers, but we got through it. During the meal, they came around once for water and then never again, despite hanging around for well over 90 minutes. There was no attempt to clear dishes and we had to flag someone down to get the check. Overall it was okay, but I'm not super likely to come back anytime soon, unfortunately.

My only concern is that the restaurant was not very full, immediate seating.

We had a group of 8 and were seated right away on a Wednesday. We got there in time to order a few $5 apps from the happy hour menu. We all liked the elote fritters! The walleye and crab cakes were also good. We all tried something different. Between the NOLA Salmon, Ahi Tacos, Shrimp Cobb, Spicy Pasta, and even the cheeseburger sliders. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. They even brought out an Apple Pie for my dad's birthday! The only complaint I had is it was very slow. From ordering, to getting our food, and the longest wait was for our bill. With a 1.5 year old, we were eager to get going but waited about a half hour after finishing dinner to get the bill. Prices are pretty fair for the quality and quantity you get. Definitely would still go back, just not if we were in a rush!

They didn't come so we had it removed from our bill. I also got them on the side of my sandwich. They were good but could be fried longer. However, the server recommend the chicken salad sandwich for a hot day. It sounded good... Cranberry wild rice sourdough, grapes, walnuts, lettuce and tomato. There was one grape half in my whole sandwich and it was so difficult to eat. The bread is toasted and the sandwich was so dry that I ended up choking on the bread. My husband had the same and felt the same. Except, he said he didn't taste any grapes in his. They need to let people know it is toasted and give them the option. The server was nice but a bit flighty. The app missing was not her fault. She put it in and someone messed up. I am not sure if we will be back.

Date of visit: December 14, 2025…read more I haven't been in this location in years, as this just isn't a part of town that I get to all that much but I was down the street at Colectivo with some friends and needed a couple items, so it made sense to pop down here to snag them. I either forgot or didn't realize that all of the traditional "grocery" items--those things you would find in the middle of the store at most grocers--are actually upstairs, with the lower level all of the more specialty items, though it was nice to walk through these other areas and fully appreciate that this is a bit of an upscale store; a true Metro Market as opposed to the one near me in Glendale that is a Pick N Save with a new sign. Once I headed upstairs I was able to find all of the things that I needed and even perused the Clearance section. This level was definitely in rougher shape than the fancy lower level, though it was also busier so that makes sense though I was expecting a bit more given that this is supposed to be a higher caliber of store. All in all, it gets the job done, but not really something that I would go out of my way to return to in the future.

The improvement in both customer service and merchandising has been great. Excellent service at the butcher counter, the pharmacy and at check out. And the cheese "shop" is great, plus a surprisingly good wine shop for a grocer - the small "global" shelf is especially good. I feel lucky to have this Metro Market as our every day shopping spot.
