My husband and I were in Mexico when our dog sitter accidentally got locked out of our house in California, so we needed to find a locksmith quickly from several states (and a country!) away. James came to the rescue and made what could have been a very stressful situation incredibly easy. He was professional, timely, extremely communicative, and genuinely kind throughout the entire process. He kept us updated, showed up when he said he would, and took care of everything quickly and efficiently. His pricing was also VERY reasonable, which was such a pleasant surprise. And on top of all of that, it was very obvious that James is an animal lover, which meant so much to us since our dogs were at home. Anyone who loves animals is automatically a favorite in our book! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. James is trustworthy, reliable, reasonably priced, and just an all-around great person. We highly recommend him and will absolutely use him again if we ever need a locksmith! read more

Pick-KEY Locksmithing - The girls say thank you!! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

We've been in our house for 20 years now and we've been improving a few things around the house. I'd bought a couple dead bolts a few years back but couldn't find a mobile locksmith to do the installation. I noticed Pick-Key and gave them a call. Operator picked up quickly and said they could be out in a couple hours! Really!!! James arrived on time and I showed him the lock sets I had and told him what I wanted and he went right to it. Now all my deadbolt locks have been updated and all locks , handle locks are on the same key Awesome!!! Thank you Pick-Key!! read more

James completed rekeying front door deadbolt and knobset in a very timely manner; whithin 2 days of me contacting him. Would have been the following day but he had a training day with his team. He came the following day and had him coordinate his schedule with my realtor without any issues. I usually get 3 bids and very "picky" who I choose for my projects and James estimate and price was very reasonable. He is very professional and communicated with me immediately via text. Didn't even have to make a call or meet him. I somehow trusted him and based on his Yelp reviews I knew I couldn't go wrong. Turned out I made the right decision to use him and would use his services again if needed. Also like the long business hours and availability. read more

James came out and re-keyed my car. He was quick, professional and cheaper than my other quotes. 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely Outstanding Service - Highly Recommended! I can't say enough great things about James with Pick-KEY Locksmithing. I sent a Yelp message in the early evening explaining that I had misplaced my keys to the lock securing my fifth-wheel hitch here in Columbia, CA. James responded immediately, provided a very reasonable quote, and confirmed he could come out that same evening. He arrived within 30 minutes...that alone impressed me, but what really stood out was his professionalism, positive attitude, and skill. James picked the lock in about 20 seconds and had the job done before I even had time to worry. He was friendly, humble, and genuinely happy to help. This was by far one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. It's rare to find someone so responsive, reliable, and courteous, especially for an on-call service in the evening. If every business operated with this level of integrity and care, the world would run a lot smoother. If you ever need a locksmith in the area, don't hesitate to call James at Pick-KEY Locksmithing. Truly top-notch service from start to finish. read more

Lock smith was on time and able to help me get a new key. He helped open the locked door. They took credit card through tap to pay, which was very convenient. Cost seemed reasonable. read more

If Yelp offered 10 stars, we'd give Pick-KEY Locksmithing 11. When we arrived at our vacation home in Groveland on Friday night, we discovered that the smart lock on our master closet wouldn't open--the battery had completely died. On Saturday morning, we contacted several locksmiths in the area, but most didn't respond, and the few who did took a long time to get back to us. While it wasn't an emergency, we still needed the lock fixed. When it became clear that no one was available on Sat, we reached out to Pick-KEY Locksmithing--and we're so glad we did. They responded quickly, and within minutes, we had an appointment scheduled for Sunday. James arrived right on time. He was courteous, professional, and thoughtful--he even asked whether there was another access point before considering drilling. Ultimately, we decided to install a new smart lock, and we couldn't be happier with the service we received. We are truly thankful for the responsiveness, integrity, and quality of service we received. If you need locksmith services, we highly recommend Pick-KEY Locksmithing. read more

I lost the key to my 2010 GMC Sierra on a Sunday and was in a tough spot trying to figure out how I was going to get home. I contacted Pick Key Locksmith, and James came through in a big way. He showed up within about an hour or two, was extremely kind and professional, and had everything handled quickly. What really stood out to me was how reasonable and fair his pricing was, especially considering it was a Sunday service call. It's hard to find people these days who are both skilled and honest, but James definitely is. If you're stuck with a lock or key issue and need someone reliable, I highly recommend giving James a call. Thanks again for the great service! read more

Very responsive and helpful, although they couldn't help me with my specific issue. This review needs to be at least 85 characters.

Highly, highly recommend!! We lost our car keys deep into Yosemite National Park- a 45 minute drive from the entrance. Clearly, we were in a crisis and only feeling more desperate when no other locksmiths were willing to come out that far (particularly mid day on a Saturday) until I called Pick-Key and spoke with Melissa. I finally could hear someone on the other end that grasped the severity of our situation and was not turned off by the distance, and moreover, genuinely wanted to help. I then spoke with James who after verifying our car's model and vin #, said he indeed could make us a key. Forwarded him our exact location and in a couple hours (incredible for how remote we were) James and Melissa showed up with their dogs in tow- turns out they were a family business! James made us the key (like magic) and all of our problems just vanished. I really don't know what we would've done without their sacrificing their own time to come and bail us out. Even the bill was under what we were expecting especially considering the amount of travel involved. When I look back on that day, I think how easy it could have been for Melissa to just say 'sorry we don't service that area' and that would have been completely understandable. But Melissa and James are different, they were willing to go the extra (hundred) miles and spend 4 hours of driving time to essentially rescue us from a disaster. 5 Stars doesn't do them justice, they gave more than 110%. Thank you, James and Melissa- you were lifesavers! read more

We broke a key in a lock I could not get it out. I didn't want to replace the truck door lock for several reasons. Pick Key was recommended to me by a neighbor. I called and spoke with James. He is extremely responsive and accommodating to our schedule. I told him over the phone how doubtful I was about him being able to remove the key fragment. However, he was able to remove it and his fee was very reasonable. Will happily use his company again should I need his services. Thanks James! read more

Lost my Subaru key and pick-key came to the rescue with quality and better value than other places I called. Very satisfied.

These guys did awesome for me. It was a holiday weekend and they made the trek all the way to Angels Camp given I had lost my keys. With some communication throughout the day to prepare, they arrived with a key already cut and then I requested a second one as they came prepared with a cutter. 2008 Dodge Ram 2500. They were a life saver to enable my return ride for tomorrow morning. Very nice and professional/respectful/respectable crew as well. Would highly recommend. read more

James was so helpful driving up to my very remote location in the dark and snow to cut new keys for my car after I lost my only key. He came up same-day and was super responsive and flexible with timing for me. His pricing was also lower than other local locksmiths I called. Would absolutely recommend his service! read more

I was locked out of my car and not from the area. Went on yelp to see what my options were. Got help very quickly and charged a very fair price! If you are in the same boat I would recommend Pick-KEY! read more

If you're in need of any type of locksmith work, you won't go wrong by giving James a call. He helped me with a faulty deadbolt lock that had been frustrating me for some time. I had been unable to successfully remove my key when attempting to lock the door to my house, which meant I was having to leave it without locking the deadbolt. James was patient and customer-centered as he fine-tuned my deadbolt, and he gave clear instructions and tips to make sure I would be able to use it after he left. James didn't try to upsell me on a new lockset, and instead tried to save me money while getting my deadbolt functional again. My job was small, but he treated me as if it were important to him to help me. James is a nice young man who offers prompt, professional locksmith services at a very reasonable rate. read more
