I had a great time during the Taste of Childress wine tasting. When you drive up, the property and…read moregreenery is very lovely. The wine tasting room was pretty with a nice layout. Rhonda and Anne were fabulous! They were very personable and equally as knowledgeable. The wine pairings with the food were good. I believe it was chips and hummus, a beef crostini, bacon wrapped date, and a chocolate shot. The food was good. I just wish the crostini was a little hotter and the chips are good with the hummus did taste a slight bit stale. The wine was the star of the show. I even found a red wine that I liked and I don't like red wines. The people in the tasting were So friendly and I enjoyed their company. I also got truffles/chocolate before I left. They were not bad, they just weren't my favorite. I would try other options because there were a lot to choose from. I would love to come back during one of their speciality events. Overall, I'm glad I came.

We came on a busy Saturday and the pourer said this was how it was when it was a race day down in Charlotte. People were bringing their little kids along with them to get their wine on before the race....yikes. The tasting room was nice as I said, large and full of wine to purchase and swag to buy. There were a number of different places in the tasting room (building), I think I counted five places you in different parts of the building you could taste wine. There is a bistro in a separate building, it seemed okay, we didn't get food. The wine was decent, but not stellar, so that is the four instead of five star from me. Worth a visit if you're heading up or down to Charlotte or just are in the area.

Each show is pretty affordable, everything we've seen thus far has been amazing! I love having this little gem in Concord. I will say the place could definitely use some TLC, as it is very old and slowly deteriorating and falling apart on the inside. Aside from that, we've never had any problems here. There's ample parking, lots of seating and space inside, clean bathrooms, and the prices are low and realistic, which is a huge plus!

The quaint theatre boasts beautiful stained glass windows and comfy seats and the cozy community theatre vibe where no seat in the house is a bad one. We were on the front row center this time and loved it! The actors in this production were spot on and I loved the OCT adaption of the book/movie. The comedic moments had us laughing, but the serious moments were quite powerful in this intimate setting, and even though I knew the story, found myself leaning towards the stage waiting to see what was next! Visit the website for upcoming plays and patronize this precious hometown gem, you won't be disappointed! There is local artwork for sale in the lobby and light refreshments offered as well for reasonable prices. For every play I've attended at least part of the cast is mingling with the patrons following the play and I just adore that! So fun to chat with them and share your thoughts about that night's production. I can't wait to go back soon...seriously - check it out! It's not fancy but full of charm, not pricey but well worth the ticket price and not broadway, but an awesome way to spend a couple of hours and support local actors and musicians - what more can you ask for?
