It's comfortable and there is room to sit down and chill out on couches. There were not many customers, and the bartenders were friendly and helpful. They have an average sized cocktail list, and I chose an old fashioned since I do enjoy them and feel that I can judge based on others I've had. They do have the option for smoked, so I chose to have mine hickory smoked. Then I chose the whiskey, which was good and bad. Good because it was good whiskey, bad because I had never seen it and it was expensive. I would have preferred to be warned so I could have had it neat instead of mixing it with anything. Oh well. The old fashioned was quite good. The blackberry whiskey sour was fine. I tasted it, and have enjoyed a whiskey sour or three in my lifetime. It was more sour than I expected. My wife liked it though, which is what mattered. Overall, the drinks were good, but I wish they had food!

The days of pounding shots in bars are long behind me and not fun anymore. But a cigar lounge and a glass of whiskey feels relaxed and more sophisticated. The Smoke & Oak has been on my wish list list for a while and I'm happy I finally went! The location is nondescript, looking like a normal house from the street were it not for the sign. Street parking was not difficult to find. Inside, the ambiance is great. Soft warm lighting, ample plush leather chairs for seating, attractive displays of cigars and a huge selection of whiskeys. The staff are passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly and made great recommendations. Walking in as a complete novice felt intimidating, and they made it much easier than I expected. I was taught basic terminology and options on pairings. Pricing felt reasonable and fair. The atmosphere was extremely laid back and relaxing. Socializing and networking with the other men was fun. I'll absolutely come back and you should too.

We brought new friends this year who absolutely loved it also. We had reservations which I highly recommend. They were swamped when we got there. Service was a little slow, and they weren't as attentive as we necessarily would've liked, however it would not stop us from coming back. They had several big parties in and we just enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe. What we got: Special cocktails and smoked old fashioned 100/10. My friend said it was the best smoked old fashioned he's ever had. Started with Flatbread, which was great. 10/10 It was the flatbread of the day, mozzarella, pesto and prosciutto. My friend and I had the Salmon. 9/10 It was perfectly cooked over sautéed spinach. I personally think a little something else with it would be nice. If you're really hungry, it wouldn't be enough food, but it was a perfect healthy option I was looking for. My friend got the butter chicken 100/10. Absolutely fantastic. Just spicy enough but not too much. I am a wimp and I loved it. Two others got the Katsu Chicken 100/10. This was the standout!! Perfectly crisp chicken breast cutlets, mashed potatoes, fresh perfectly cooked green beans, and a mushroom gravy. I wished I got this and will next time! Dessert: Key lime pie 5/10, just ok. Tasted more like a lemon bar to me. Tiramisu 10/10. Light, tasty, wonderfully done.
