I bought a Yamaha U1 from Piano Outlet. I am extremely happy. I got a great deal on a fantastic piano. They were very accommodating. The piano I wanted was in Northern California. They shipped it to the Oceanside store to allow me to play it before I bought it. I can't say enough about this place! read more

This store is absolutely amazing! We searched far and wide and finally found a perfect piano for our son. The owner Yen is the most honest salesperson you'll ever meet and we will definitely buy from him again! read more

I reached out to Yen via Facebook marketplace regarding a specific piano and he was extremely responsive and transparent, providing me a wide variety of options to choose from without being pushy. Based on my research around Yamaha pianos I think their pricing is overall pretty good/competitive. I blind purchased (tried same model in a different showroom) a used Yamaha YUS-1 and had it delivered to the San Francisco Bay Area because we don't have a lot of stock for that model in this area. Despite a small delay seemingly out of their control the whole process / logistics went really smoothly and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again. read more

I highly recommend the Piano Outlet for anyone in the market for a piano. Yen is very knowledgeable and passionate about the pianos in his charge. I visited his store by appointment on Saturday, picked out my piano, and had it at my apartment by Monday! Yen took his time explaining the various pianos and options. He truly cares about finding the best instrument and deal for you and your needs. You can`t go wrong visiting Yen at the Piano Outlet! Update: I went back to Yen at the Piano Outlet for a second piano for my mom`s house. Yen was again incredibly knowledgeable and patient in helping me select a piano as my budget for the second was smaller than the first. I let him know that I needed the piano to be delivered to my mom`s house by a certain date. Yen indicated he would be able to have the piano buffed and delivered by that date. I shouldn`t be surprised that Yen delivered on his promise (my mom is located over 2 hours away!). My mom indicated that Yen`s movers were respectful and very skilled in delivering the piano. If I am ever in need of another piano, Yen will be my first stop! :) read more

I would highly recommend buying a piano from Yen at Piano Outlet. I haven't played a piano in over 50 years (and I wasn't very good back then) but recently decided to take it up again. I had looked around at several places but then made an appointment and couldn't be happier with the results -- both with the piano and the price. Yen listened to what I was looking for and gave me options and guidance. The next evening the piano was in my living room and I was ready to go. His knowledge, kindness and help are very appreciated and I look forward to my journey. read more

We had an upright digital piano that we wanted to trade in for a grand piano. After calling a few places around, we decided to come visit Yen's shop and were pleasantly surprised by the grand piano selections. We liked that he wasn't pushy and gave us time to test out different pianos and discuss among ourselves. We selected a beautiful grand piano that my sons fell in love with right away. Upon delivery, we received a beautiful bouquet of flowers to welcome us into this new musical journey. My boys are ecstatic about the new piano, and look forward to playing on it every day! Make sure to visit this place if you are shopping for a piano! read more

I went into the store since I have been actively looking for a baby grand. Yen is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He doesn't push the most expensive instrument. He listens to what you're looking for and gives his honest opinion about what best suits your needs. In this case, he and I both agreed a specific smaller Yamaha baby grand was more suited for my needs and we both liked the feel of it better than the larger model. The prices are very fair. He is the person to go to! read more

This is the best place to buy a piano in the San Diego area. We had an amazing experience buying from the Piano Outlet. After visiting several stores and talking to multiple salespeople, we found that Yanlin was by far the best. He is truly passionate about his job and works hard to match each person with the right piano. He listened to us and wasn't pushy at all. Plus, the prices are great! Highly recommended! read more

After being in the market for almost two months, we were finally able to find the perfect piano for our son at Piano Outlet. Yen is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He listens to what we want and walks us through every single piano he has to offer that meets our requirements/ budget. He does not push us to look at the pricier ones and is very trust worthy and reliable. I am glad we found his business. Our son has been in love with the piano of his dreams. read more

A+ overall experience from beginning to end. This is a review posted a day after receiving my piano. I will update in the future. I first was in contact with Yanlin, the owner, via Facebook. He was very friendly, professional, and very prompt with responses. I queried about several pianos that were listed on Facebook. A week later I scheduled an appointment at his studio. He was very welcoming, friendly, professional, respectful and very knowledgeable. He had the perfect balance. He was not pushy at all and would give his recommendations on which piano he thought we should consider based on our needs. I appreciated his opinion and was very helpful in our decision. He was also very honest on the conditions of his pianos and if any had any issues with it. We ended up purchasing a piano that had a minor issue but was disclosed to us. We did some research beforehand and had gone to other used piano stores and he has very good and competitive prices. The conditions of his pianos were also very good. It was also a great experience to watch him play- it was like a mini concert and it was lovely. We came with our kids and he was very kind of them, even offered his iPad as they were getting a bit rowdy. We got a great deal on a Yamaha UX with 5 year warranty and a free tuning. We got it delivered by Yanlin himself and 2 other guys and came right on time. The piano was handled with great care. He even gave us a bouquet of flowers as a thank you. Overall A+ service and great prices. I would highly recommend you call, message, or visit the store if you are looking for a great used piano or if you simply want to watch him play the piano! Thank you Yanlin! read more
