He needs to come back to do all the jobs and asking $200 deposit for order new string. He came back on 9/27/23 to replace the F string and tuning the piano which takes 2 hours total. I paid $250 more. So I paid total $450 for his job. Two days after 9/29/33 when practice my songs I realized the F# doesn't sound right. It sounds like I put my feet on the pedal which I didn't. But my level is just 1/4 of the first book of piano for adults, I doubted myself. I trust him with all the praise through reviews and his age. Now I start to learn blue songs. I have to practice more F# key. It makes the sound weird. The songs don't sound right. I contacted him 10/5/23 about this problem. He said just wait a little bit longer and do another tuning. He took the time necessary to really dial in the regulation and fix specific issues that others might have overlooked. What stands out most is his absolute passion for the craft. It was fascinating talking to him about piano construction, from the nuances of wood sources in Fazioli pianos to his own personal project restoring an antique Bechstein. I had put on custom light strings and still wasn't happy with it's action. I decided to take it to Russell and see what he thought. He took one look at it and noticed that it possibly hadn't been setup before. He saved my newly (night before) installed strings and wow it plays amazingly now. I tried it out and he said "You should hear it from here" so I handed him the guitar and he played some Travis picking and yeah it sounds amazing. Barre chords are coming along better and the guitar feels more comfortable without the struggle. For the record I've bought a couple guitars from him and will continue to add to my collection via Moonlight Music. The work was quick and I had it back in no time.
