Delicious pasta. Friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and we were able to communicate as I don't speak any Italian other than the basic words.

Ordered pizza takeout, discovered friendly staff and a restaurant that smelled of good food. - service was fast and pizza choices were great

I had a great experience here. It has a very authentic hole in the wall feel with friendly staff, who recommended a delicious wine. The food was FANTASTIC. I had spaghetti with clams and my friend had fish ravioli with shrimp. I had to order the ravioli as a second course, because it was amazing. My friend had the octopus and said it was equally as good. I only heard guests speaking Italian so this is where Romans come to eat.

Great food, great service, authentic ambiance, it seems to be a local's spot, had great bacalao croquet, the carne was very good, they don't bother asking you how well you want the meat cook, it is what it is buddy, don't worry and don't complain it is good!

    Gnocchi Bolognese

Absolutely delicious. I had the Gnocchi Bolognese with meatballs. Outstanding! I will return to try other dishes.

Nice and friendly privately run small and individual restaurant with a mixture of Roman food and such from the Molise area (east mediterranean side of Italy) where the went originated from. Good wine, good dishes, not as fresh as I expected, but absolutely ok concerning the low prices.

    Gnocchi with Ragu di spuntature

Polite staff, cozy indoor seating with some outdoor seats, nice décor, delicious food. I got the gnocchi with Ragu di spuntature.

    After lunch coffee- very good!

This is such a cute lunch spot just a few blocks from the Vatican! Very cozy and homey inside and they have some of the best pizza I've had in Italy! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for some authentic, good Italian food and a not- touristy vibe!

Wonderful family run place in the Cipro neighborhood. Good wines, excellent pastas, and nice people. Reasonably priced for Rome.

We came here after an exhausting visit to the Vatican museum. It was a delicious haven from the crowds. Loved.

After visiting the Vatican my friends were trying to look for a less touristy restaurant right near the museum and stumbled upon this place.

Everyone needs a trip to Italy, if nothing more than to enjoy all of the food…read more When you've landed, you're hungry, and it's not lunch time, and it's not dinner time, you may end up, selling for whatever you can find is open We were absolutely starving, and wanting to indulge in our first Italian meal, what do you do when you're in Italy?! You may want to indulge in pasta or pizza! We walked in, and we were immediately seated. Air conditioning is nonexistent, and on a hot summer day, it would've been cooler to dine outside. had that been an option, and it was 95° out. As soon as we were seated, we were immediately told that Pizza and some of their baked Italian dishes were not going to be available. Boo. The wait staff seemed fairly nice, and offered to bring us glasses of water. The glasses were super tiny, and thankfully the waitress brought over a carafe of water. We asked for a few suggestions, since both of us had been craving pizza, and she suggested the Carbonara. She said it was one of the best dishes. While we were waiting for our food, several other tables were immediately filled up with other customers, families and friends alike. It was interesting that those tables were served pizza... I'll just leave it at that. The carbonara Was anything less than delicious. We both found the pasta to be barely cooked. Not al dente, but barely cooked. The seasoning was mediocre, and there was very little pork, which is supposed to be the highlight of this dish, in this dish. Diners tip: if you are not a local, keep in mind that your version of Customer Service may or may not fit what Customer Service is in Rome. Despite being hungry, I had a hard time, finishing the food, let alone actually eating it. The waitress only came over at the end to drop off the check, and when she noticed that I had barely eaten anything, first gave me a strange look, and then asked about it. It was definitely one of those situations where saying something was wrong would've been met with unwanted attention. This is in a place to add to your must try list... There are plenty of other places, even in and around this area that more than likely would be a better choice.

Bufala pizza with red sauce and lasagna was excellent. Seating was fast and good serviceread more
