Does anyone even work at this place? I got another gym so I wanted to cancel my membership here, but after nearly a dozen attempts to call and multiple in-person visits to the front desk during business hours, I simply gave up. No one was ever there, the place was unstaffed at all times. I had to call the Physiq in Salem and ask them to pass the message along to call me to go through the cancellation process, but of course no one ever contacted me. I eventually had to go through my bank and block any attempt by their billing company to withdraw money from my account. I've heard stories about gyms being difficult to quit, but I've never heard of one being impossible to quit because no one even works there. Impressive, in a certain way.
As for the gym itself, it's clear that they just slapped their name on top of Pursue Fitness and called it good. They instantly cut corners with crappier paper towels (if they're even stocked at all, because again, no one works there) and equipment that was already showing its age under the previous gym's moniker is now basically abandoned and getting extremely grungy and broken machines simply stay broken. read more
